My most recent tech purchase was the Huawei Watch GT 4 Pro. Man, oh man. What an absolutely bonkers good device. It has so much functionality, all tied into one of the most handsome smartwatches I've ever seen.
I can remember, over a decade ago, when I had a dud of a Huawei phone, one of the first P series phones, which was amazing for all but the storage being ridiculously slow.
That was then, and this is now, a time when basically every Huawei device is designed and produced to such a ridiculously high level of standards.
It looks like this pad is yet another very innovatively and beautifully created device from Huawei.
On one hand, the design and features are surprising for a pad, something you don't expect from an area that's been oversaturated with so many "me, too" devices, checking off boxes
that basically just let it join the plethora of similar devices.
On the other hand, I'm hardly surprised that such a beautiful and elegant, while also powerful and versatile product has been brought to us by Huawei.
For literally the better part of a decade now, Huawei has been pushing forward the industry in ways other large companies have become all too comfortable to just release slight iterations, year after year.
Another excellent step forward from Huawei.

On iPad Microsoft Office - is unable to create a proper documents or Excel - the question is - on MatePad is it possible to FULLY work for your office work? And what programs for graphic has Huawei? Adobe is possible to use? Or there is a Huawei version of this program?

Apple really should have implemented this design. It’s so beautiful. I don’t understand why Apple didn’t do it, it was so obvious. It’s their own design of the MacBook Pro screen. I like the functionality this folio keyboard offers. I hope Apple will offer this Smart Folio keyboard cover additionally to their Magic Keyboard cover for the iPad Pro.
Can I use excel and words on this tablet?
Does it have Desktop Mode like Samsung Dex?
What about the memory can I add in SD card 🤔

the bezel is crazy thin. it beats tab s9 ultra bezel😲
2:29 At this part in the review the bezel-less gorgeous screen looks like a square, floating art suspended in mid air. 4:55 I love that customisable ability to map specific keys to various functions like customising the shutter button. 4:57 I love that smooth flexibility to enter in power user mode. 5:07 I also love that ability to simply rest your Huawei phone on the touchpad to synchronise with the tablet. It's like a substitute for wired or wireless connectivity. 7:32 This here is absolutely innovative to be able to activate the entire screen to assist with precision issues, handwriting mode is dope. I love the concept of the handwriting mode to eliminate precision issues when writing with the electronic pen.
Really great tablet overall, the only negative is the chipset if you compare it to its other Android rivals like Samsung Tab S9 series that has the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chips... But not bad at all since its also cheaper than the Samsung.
I really love it but I wish that, on top of all this, it would also have :
1. 120Hz Always-on (1Hz) tandem-stack OLED display (always-on is very important)
2. Airfuel (Witricity) (and maybe also Qi2) wireless charging to be able to recharge by « sticking » to the device to a dock (VESA dock, speaker,…)
3. Multi 10Gbits/s and low latency 60Ghz WiGig (802.11ay) wireless docking functionality to wirelessly access to external I/O (USB-C, USB-A, Ethernet, HDMI,…) like Dell DA-310 multiport hub
4. A kind of Dell DA-310 multiport hub but with WiGig wireless connectivity, and with integrated Airfuel/Qi2 wireless charging, and a small integrated battery: just stick it on the back of the tablet, and it wirelessly power the hub…
You could also power it through USB-C to put it near the tablet…
This would be innovative functionalities not yet available on any other product, that also significantly improve ease of use for customers…

Shame about the subpar cpu and lack for google services, makes it a bad choice outside china. Hardware wise huawei was amazing before the sanctions, such a shame.
Harmany OS 4 animation is way more smooth than android and has features android doesn't have.

No cellular connectivity - BIG omission.
No desktop mode, no video out, no sd card expansion, no google support.
Why do you need a desktop mode when this has a flexible OLED 13 inch screen. This has up to 1TB of storage. Harmany OS 4 is more fluid and smoother than android and has functions android does not have.

@@ssrae-2229 not interested in the politics of it all but the reality is that without Google services it's not viable for 99% of western users. Just the lack of a native UA-cam app alone probably rules it out. I had a couple Huawei flagships before the ban and loved them. I know honor are Huawei in disguise but they sadly only have the phones over here.

No Google apps and mid tier processor =PASS
Huawei don't need Google apps anymore. Their harmony OS NEXT version is completely eliminating android app support and is not dependent on the Linux kernel which means it's entirely a Huawei native OS. Also Huawei new kirrin chips with 5nm tech is coming

harmony OS 4 is way more fluid than android and Harmany OS NEXT is coming soon. Also Huawei led the tablet and smartphone market shipment in china so far this year which is the biggest smartphone market in the world
