I'm rewatching the series and I had a thought about how Lucifer is with Trixie. He says multiple times that he knows humans because he has dealt with them for millennia but he has no idea how to deal with Trixie. To me, this says that he's never dealt with children in hell, therefore children don't go to hell.
As a Christian myself… I really loved the show and the psychology behind it. I really liked the fact that Lucifer said he’s not responsible for every bad things happening on earth and that we human do plenty of bad things on our own. Which is something I really believe 😉

If God forgives all, why not believe Lucifer can be redeemed?

absolutely adore this show. the characters are great, the sexiness is real, the chemistry between Lucifer and the Detective is awesome. i have replayed season 5, episode 6, at the end, a bajillion times. Was really happy they finally got it on!

Yes the way he is the Ruler of Hell, and oversees the punishment of damned souls makes far more sense than him being the epitomy of evil. If he was Evil Incarnate then he would be rewarding the worst of humanity rather than tormenting them.

I absolutely LOVE this show. If Netflix pulls it I will get rid of Netflix. This is entertainment and not supposed to be an accurate depiction but how cool would it be if it was? I don't see how you can have an accurate account of anything based on the Bible because it's a book that has been translated time after time after time and things lose a lot in translation. If you're religious and don't like it....simple....DON'T WATCH IT!!!! Let others make their own choices.
Actually, the dead sea scrolls show that the Bible has not been lost in translation over all these years. Also, it speaks of ppl groups and events that scholars say never existed or occurred only to have proof come to light in archeological digs. Secular archeological digs.

I am so happy that there's a 6th Season coming. It will be the last I guess and I am already getting sad. Shows such as LUCIFER are far and few between. I guess I could rewatch it all over again. Thank you Netflix. You did Good !
From the pilot on I was nuts about the whole cast who are seasoned professional actors and adding Ella to season 2 on makes me no stop watching and rewatching. I am glad they had season six to get a proper ending but the Rory story line didn't quite work. I am grateful for this show and if it ever leaves as a Netflix choice I will probably purchase on DVD.
I instantly fell in love with the subtle jokes that kids would not likely catch. For example his reference in the pilot to bluesman, Robert Johnson. And in the 2nd episode, Lucifer is playing "King of Pain" on the piano, a song released in 1983 by The Police.
This show teaches about love, compassion, forgiveness, morals, faith and everything else the Bible preaches. For ignorant people to try to take it off the air based only on the name reiterates how judgemental people can be...and to not judge a book by the cover is also taught both in the show and Bible! So in other words, “Practice What You Preach....Amen” Lucifer is the Best Show Ever, so glad the hypocrites did not ruin it for the rest of us!
Definitely an entertaining show! Great actors and Tom Ellis has developed a most interesting character. It is an adult show. If you do not want to watch it, don’t! Organizations that want to promote censorship need to find something else to do! I am a high school reading specialists who reads banned books, supports Banned Book Week, and have had wonderful discussions with my students in the last 30 years after we read a number of books groups want to see removed from schools. I always respect parent decisions. I feel the same about TV shows, music, and movies.
I am Catholic but I love to watch the Lucifer series on Netflix. For me, it is just a series and just for fun. Doesn't mean that I don't believe in God but for me, The Lucifer series is interesting and some kind of entertainment to watch.
I like how Decker is oddly concerned about lucifer contaminating evidence 24/7 while it really doesn't make much of a difference when the entirety of the team walks there with hair out, no gloves, no plastic covers on the shoes, breathing their DNA all over the evidence when picking it up :') That crime scene was contaminated beyond repair long before Lucifer ever got there xD

Yup it doesn't matter who you are, you can enjoy the show. I'm atheist and I don't believe in gods and demons and yet Lucifer is easily in top 5 shows I've ever watched.
The show is super dope, a fun time, loosely based on the comic of the same name and before you get obsessed Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship it’s surprisingly thought provoking. Made me realize that everything is a matter of perspective.
Honestly for me I feel like the bible has different understanding to everyone because 1 religion we have different believes, some people believe church is on saturday some too on sundays some believe in saints others too believe roman fathers shouldn't marry but marriage is the bible as well, I mean a lot "Dear God by Dax" says it all. There is this question I always ask myself, they say our God Forgives but I wonder why God didn't forgive satan because satan was once an angel.
Interesting thought about forgiveness. It had me for a second then I realized, satan never asked for forgiveness. Or did he? But then again it’s not just about forgiveness, it’s also about not doing the same wrong things again and again. Also, I believe satan wanted to be in charge. So there’s that whole thing with accepting God has the one and only way. Just trying to be informative not preachy. These words hit home to me. Ouch!!! So I’m off to go ask for forgiveness of somethings I repeatedly do. ABSOLUTELY LOVE this show.
I think he had to be able to look past his actions and want to be better. He could ask his father for forgiveness, but we should know that he also has to be willing to forgive himself. That's how they described hell... A Guilt Loop. He showed that one guy how the loop worked, and because of one seemingly insignificant incident in his whole life, he went to hell. Then he simply walked in to his family's house instead of walking away and Lucifer sees him in heaven.
it is a warning to the public. if a father does not forgives his son, his son will reside in a hell-like world. people wrote the bible and created the image of god after ourselves. we want to be immortal, but we can't. we want to be all powerful, but we can't. We want to forgive, but, often, we can't.
As a catholic, I was at first turned off to the show but once I gave it a chance I was able to see it’s really about redemption. That love truly concours all. But also having preconceived notions of what is right and wrong can hide the actual truth. Christianity can be about forgiveness so it’s fitting to have his character explore his role they way it does. I really enjoy watching Chloe’s character make Lucifer a better being. Which is why I’m not a fan of eve because she brings out the worse in him. That a character can be around for billions of years and it only take one positive influence to be your best self. It gives a sense of hope within this storyline that kindness can create change. I hope WB and DC lines up a movie with these characters or even give Lucifer a role in a justice league type film as the comic relief.
Have to say, if it wasn't for Tom's adorable face, I wouldn't have been as continously entertained! Just finished the series yesterday but I didn't know it was the series finale so I wasn't crying as much as if I had known. 😭😭😭😭😭 I'ma def do a rewatch maybe today or tomorrow 😭😭😭😭 I loved Chloe and Lucifer's ship! They were the most pure of all my ships, ironically enough 😅🤣🤣 also I was NEVER bored watching them together, and 99% of my ships don't get together on-screen. I usually got bored reading about it in fanfiction bc the chase is where it's at for me, so I was a little scared I'd get bored of them once it happened, but no, never happened. I liked the season 5 ending better than the season 6 one. So Trixie isn’t at her moms side when she died, but Rory is? And Amenidiel can go back and forth for his sons birthdays but Lucifer can’t?
Rather you're a believer or non believer, Lucifer isn't at all disrespectful. I actually think it might be kind of accurate. In fact satan himself is supposed to reflect sins, desire and stuff. So presenting him as a fun person like that with anger issues is actually great! Testing his limits all the time is super amazing, and the wanting to punish bad people. I love how they showed heaven and hell like that, and made it really accurate. They also brought up the fact from the bible that your own guilt brings you to hell, not god. Which I really love, because everything is basically biblically accurate when it comes to those things
I'm rewatching it over and over again. I'm christian too, but I think it's a really great show. The plot and the actors are great. God gave us free will since the beginning. We do things by choice so we should stop blamming other people (and eventually Lucifer) for the bad things we do.
If you Dont like lucifer like a character you havent see the show because all the tv show is character development. The crime and religion decisions are really interesting but I see the show (mostly) for the characters and the jokes

I don't get why Christians would hate the show. The devil was always just a rebellious son who was forced to punish evil. He didn't choose that path, and the show reflects this. I love Lucifer I have been watching it since the start. @11:02 as Lucifer is talking with the officer, I think back to when I got pulled over rouding a corner, I said no, but continued with "You were hoping this stop would help you meet your quota and help fill a small part of San Diego budgetary needs". Of course, the officer said no, it was because I had no front plate on my car and my front windows were tinted which is illegal in CA.

I think the idea of going as far as trying to start a petition to stop the show is ridiculous. Sure it's not an accurate depiction of "our Lucifer" but it's also just a show, make-believe. Getting upset over this show would be like getting upset over a Percy Jackson movie that isn't exactly accurate to Greek mythology. The point is that this show isn't actually supposed to be accurate to the real Lucifer, obviously. It's just an interesting concept to think about or write a show about, that the devil isn't who he was made out to be, that humans got the wrong idea and if you look at the ratings on the show you can see that it makes for a very cool and interesting idea.

This show is not appropriate for children. That said, it's one of my favorite shows and Christians should not watch it if they don't like it. As far as I am concerned, this show depicts the whole god myth better than most Christians do, describing god as a being who doesn't listen, doesn't communicate and doesn't care.

This is an awesome movie! I have seen all six seasons. Tom Ellis is now one of my favorite actors.
On my sixth watch of all seasons. Waiting for 5B next week. All the actors are brilliant. Tom does a great job of showing his emotions all the time.

I am glad they had season six to get a proper ending but the Rory story line didn't quite work. I am grateful for this show and if it ever leaves as a Netflix choice I will probably purchase on DVD.

I instantly fell in love with the subtle jokes that kids would not likely catch. For example his reference in the pilot to bluesman, Robert Johnson. And in the 2nd episode, Lucifer is playing "King of Pain" on the piano, a song released in 1983 by The Police.

This show teaches about love, compassion, forgiveness, morals, faith and everything else the Bible preaches. For ignorant people to try to take it off the air based only on the name reiterates how judgemental people can be...and to not judge a book by the cover is also taught both in the show and Bible! So in other words, “Practice What You Preach....Amen” Lucifer is the Best Show Ever, so glad the hypocrites did not ruin it for the rest of us!
Definitely an entertaining show! Great actors and Tom Ellis has developed a most interesting character. It is an adult show. If you do not want to watch it, don’t! Organizations that want to promote censorship need to find something else to do! I am a high school reading specialists who reads banned books, supports Banned Book Week, and have had wonderful discussions with my students in the last 30 years after we read a number of books groups want to see removed from schools. I always respect parent decisions. I feel the same about TV shows, music, and movies.
I am Catholic but I love to watch the Lucifer series on Netflix. For me, it is just a series and just for fun. Doesn't mean that I don't believe in God but for me, The Lucifer series is interesting and some kind of entertainment to watch.

I like how Decker is oddly concerned about lucifer contaminating evidence 24/7 while it really doesn't make much of a difference when the entirety of the team walks there with hair out, no gloves, no plastic covers on the shoes, breathing their DNA all over the evidence when picking it up :') That crime scene was contaminated beyond repair long before Lucifer ever got there xD
I am a Roman Catholic and quite enjoy this show. I am secure with my Faith so that doesn’t stop me from enjoying the series.

The show is super dope, a fun time, loosely based on the comic of the same name and before you get obsessed Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship it’s surprisingly thought provoking. Made me realize that everything is a matter of perspective.

Honestly for me I feel like the bible has different understanding to everyone because 1 religion we have different believes, some people believe church is on saturday some too on sundays some believe in saints others too believe roman fathers shouldn't marry but marriage is the bible as well, I mean a lot "Dear God by Dax" says it all. There is this question I always ask myself, they say our God Forgives but I wonder why God didn't forgive satan because satan was once an angel.
Interesting thought about forgiveness. It had me for a second then I realized, satan never asked for forgiveness. Or did he? But then again it’s not just about forgiveness, it’s also about not doing the same wrong things again and again. Also, I believe satan wanted to be in charge. So there’s that whole thing with accepting God has the one and only way. Just trying to be informative not preachy. These words hit home to me. Ouch!!! So I’m off to go ask for forgiveness of somethings I repeatedly do.

I think he had to be able to look past his actions and want to be better. He could ask his father for forgiveness, but we should know that he also has to be willing to forgive himself. That's how they described hell... A Guilt Loop. He showed that one guy how the loop worked, and because of one seemingly insignificant incident in his whole life, he went to hell. Then he simply walked in to his family's house instead of walking away and Lucifer sees him in heaven.
it is a warning to the public. if a father does not forgives his son, his son will reside in a hell-like world. people wrote the bible and created the image of god after ourselves. we want to be immortal, but we can't. we want to be all powerful, but we can't. We want to forgive, but, often, we can't.

As a catholic, I was at first turned off to the show but once I gave it a chance I was able to see it’s really about redemption. That love truly concours all. But also having preconceived notions of what is right and wrong can hide the actual truth. Christianity can be about forgiveness so it’s fitting to have his character explore his role they way it does. I really enjoy watching Chloe’s character make Lucifer a better being. Which is why I’m not a fan of eve because she brings out the worse in him. That a character can be around for billions of years and it only take one positive influence to be your best self. It gives a sense of hope within this storyline that kindness can create change. I hope WB and DC lines up a movie with these characters or even give Lucifer a role in a justice league type film as the comic relief.

Have to say, if it wasn't for Tom's adorable face, I wouldn't have been as continously entertained! Just finished the series yesterday but I didn't know it was the series finale so I wasn't crying as much as if I had known. 😭😭😭😭😭 I'ma def do a rewatch maybe today or tomorrow 😭😭😭😭
I loved Chloe and Lucifer's ship! They were the most pure of all my ships, ironically enough 😅🤣🤣 also I was NEVER bored watching them together, and 99% of my ships don't get together on-screen. I usually got bored reading about it in fanfiction bc the chase is where it's at for me, so I was a little scared I'd get bored of them once it happened, but no, never happened.
This is definitely one of my all-time favorite shows 💕💕💕 it'll be hard to beat 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Rather you're a believer or non believer, Lucifer isn't at all disrespectful. I actually think it might be kind of accurate. In fact satan himself is supposed to reflect sins, desire and stuff. So presenting him as a fun person like that with anger issues is actually great! Testing his limits all the time is super amazing, and the wanting to punish bad people. I love how they showed heaven and hell like that, and made it really accurate. They also brought up the fact from the bible that your own guilt brings you to hell, not god. Which I really love, because everything is basically biblically accurate when it comes to those things

I'm rewatching it over and over again. I'm christian too, but I think it's a really great show. The plot and the actors are great. God gave us free will since the beginning. We do things by choice so we should stop blamming other people (and eventually Lucifer) for the bad things we do.
If you Dont like lucifer like a character you havent see the show because all the tv show is character development. The crime and religion decisions are really interesting but I see the show (mostly) for the characters and the jokes

I don't get why Christians would hate the show. The devil was always just a rebellious son who was forced to punish evil. He didn't choose that path, and the show reflects this. I'm saying this coming from a family of Christians that enjoy the show very much, for anyone who feels like they need to lecture me about this comment.

I love Lucifer I have been watching it since the start. @11:02 as Lucifer is talking with the officer, I think back to when I got pulled over rouding a corner, I said no, but continued with "You were hoping this stop would help you meet your quota and help fill a small part of San Diego budgetary needs". Of course, the officer said no, it was because I had no front plate on my car and my front windows were tinted which is illegal in CA.

I think the idea of going as far as trying to start a petition to stop the show is ridiculous. Sure it's not an accurate depiction of "our Lucifer" but it's also just a show, make-believe. Getting upset over this show would be like getting upset over a Percy Jackson movie that isn't exactly accurate to Greek mythology. The point is that this show isn't actually supposed to be accurate to the real Lucifer, obviously. It's just an interesting concept to think about or write a show about, that the devil isn't who he was made out to be, that humans got the wrong idea and if you look at the ratings on the show you can see that it makes for a very cool and interesting idea.
Okay but like this show has honestly made me feel a lot more comfortable with my faith like I had been feeling like I havnt connected with god in a long time but the show is reminding me of Bible stories and I’ve actually started praying again like Lucifer is an antihero and I feel like the devil fits that narrative like he’s an angel who fucked up and is now tasked with a truly horrific job and like I like this possibility that he’s not bad just misunderstood
This show is not appropriate for children. That said, it's one of my favorite shows and Christians should not watch it if they don't like it.
As far as I am concerned, this show depicts the whole god myth better than most Christians do, describing god as a being who doesn't listen, doesn't communicate and doesn't care.
