I have a little suggestion: next time you have a chance to eat hot pot, remember to put a big ginger, because the hot pot is very hot and easy to catch fire, and the ginger is pungent and cool, which can disperse the fire and remove the heat. Prevent blisters from burning in the mouth after eating hotpot. If your Indian family is free, ask them to travel to China together and taste the eight famous Chinese cuisines, Excursions and visits to places of interest in China. Love from shanghai China!
U won't face racism. Just have a basic hold on English easier to communicate and express as mostly all sign boards in india are in English and Hindi maybe some other regional language at times. I have been to china for cultural exchange. I genuinely love the Chinese people very sweet and helpful. Come to India enjoy , taste, eat, shop, visit lovely tourist places. Here u can trust me that it will be a trip worth the fun and experience. But it can happen in some places people might mistake u as a localite from north east part of India. In that case just tell them u r from China and they will totally get u.
