I think i have some suggestions for future videos like these 1st Hyper Intelligent MCs that are VERY smart. These characters are usually capable of solving complex mysteries with little to no effort, or use their brains or self made gadgets to get out severe predicament. Examples that i know of being Conan Edogawa (Detective Conan), Kaitou Joker (Kaitou Joker), Waver Velvet (Case Files of Lord El-Melloi) and Sora and Shiro (No Game No Life) 2. Final Boss MCs that are VERY OP in similar vein to the gigachad, but their personality and/or status makes others tremble before their very presence akin to that of a final boss. Some examples being Alucard (Hellsing) and Ainz Ooal Gown (Overlord) 3. Torch Bearer MCs who were passed on the torch by someone else. Exanples i know of being Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia), and Simon the Digger (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)
One suggestion, you could have gone for a series of types of protagonists instead of just one video, where after one part it just feels like you rushing it. Yet, nice video.

However he is mainly one of the biggest chunibyous of all time, he literally died for that reason
Another hothesd mc could be josuke higashikata from jojos part 4. He has a strong moral code/sense of justice, but if he gets insulted for his hair, the morals get thrown right out the window.

Okay, the opportunist part is not even correct. While he may or may not have chosen Aqua for her abilities, I am pretty sure it was first and foremost out of spite. It was obvious. She got on his nerves with her constant belittling. He even straight up says to her that she can leave if she wants to when they arrive in the new world. There is even a short story where he gets to redo his second life(temporarily. Since Kazuma isn't the original user, it is more like dream to him instead of actually redoing events). In this story redoes meeting Aqua, and everytime it ends with him bringing her along, out of spite. Because she was THAT insufferable, no matter how much he tried. In darkness's case, she is a crusader/masochist. She goes into these situations knowing what's going to happen. It's her job/fault. Kazuma "exploiting" their abilities is not even exploiting as much as him making the best use out of his teammates who have really huge handicaps. Coordinating a team(especially one that is this bad) does not make him manipulative or an opportunist. Trying to find loopholes in quests and social interactions, that would usually lead to him being screwed, especially with a team like his, is not exactly opportunistic. That quest with Aqua and the alligators was due to Aqua not only taking the quest herself(despite potential danger), but also being stubborn about it. The reason she is in a cage is to keep her from getting mauled to death. Kazuma was even willing to pull her out, but she was the who refused it. Calling him an opportunist for wanting to have a better life and not deal with constant suffering, which are usually because of bad luck or his teammates, is like saying that a starving person is an opportunist for wanting to eat food. Realistic MCs are my favorite kind, I'm always ecstatic whenever they finally get something good after all the shit they went through. Mainly Thorfinn and Subaru.
One example of the Downbad MC as well is Yuuki Wakura from Mato Seihei No Slave/Chained Soldier. Basically, if bro successfully does what he needs to do as a "slave" of his user (mainly Kyouka Uzen) (I'm not explaining this shit pls watch the anime/read the manga if you dare), he gets a "reward" which is usually something that fulfills his sexual desires.

Can we talk about Issei for a second ? Naaah, it's not a question. Even if he's not specially talked bad about, I wanna stand up to give him the respect he deserves for those who thinks he's "only a cringe degenerate who doesn't deserve his situation", cuz OH MAN he's better written than most of characters in this list. So Issei's development is built around imposter syndroma, which is impacting 2 aspects of his responsibilities : as the owner of one of the most powerful sacred gears in the world and as a man respectable enough to stand proudly besides the woman he loves. For the first one it's kinda classic. He posseses the Red Dragon Emperor's Gauntlet while he's just a weak average teenage human, and as he gets beaten many times in the show. The most important thing about it is that everytime he gets beaten, he loses something : when he loses against Reynare, Asia gets kidnapped and killed, when he loses against Riser Phenix, Rias has to marry him against her will and even when he defeats Loki, Rias gets cursed and she almost gets lost in the void. Even though everything ends well (Asia gets resurected, he takes revenge on Riser, saves Rias from the curse), all he sees is when he fails because he feels like great powers has been given to him and yet he fails at protecting his beloved. It's classic but well done, as in its opposition to Vali Lucifer that is kind of a "gigachad" mc but as an antagonist. But it gets plenty more interesting when we look his trust issues in women's affection towards him. The anime opens on Issei thinking he's never going to get loved by a girl and then a cute girl appears from nowhere, saying she loves him, making him feel loved and then boom, she kills him while saying she lied the whole time and that no girl could love him. That's what he's development is about in the 3rd and 4th seasons of the anime : he is haunted by the trauma caused by Reynare which, combined with his imposter syndroma making him feel unworthy of being loved, is constantly telling that every women showing affection to him are lying. And this whole character arc is beautifully resolved in a scene where his closest female friends show him there sincerity by getting naked, which is by the same time a moment that shows that fanservice can be used to increase the emotional impact of a scene. Issei is a really touching and relatable mc as well as one of the best written of all shounen, and Highschool DxD is the greatest current anime.
I 100% agree with this! As Kaneko once told Issei “You’re a pervert, but a good pervert.” Issei is a perv but that doesn’t mean he’s down bad. He aspires and has a goal in his life and aims to get stronger. He is Vali’s exact opposite considering Vali doesn’t have any goals left to chase. And Issei’s pervy nature combined with his caring and uplifting nature is why all of the girls, especially Rias, in ORC love the guy and want to be with him. Issei is also far from being a self-insert MC, which has plagued the Harem Genre a lot. He’s more in-line as a dumb MC on this list than a down-bad or self-insert MC. I love the dude, and I anticipate his arrival when news of Season 5 breaks 😊.

gon is a hard character, he isnt "stupid" but has goody moments, protector and martyr are hard, he'd be somewhere in between, he idd protects those close to him to extreme extends...like sacrificing his life to avenge kite, and finally fuck he's resilient too. he's hard imo to put him in one category

Can we talk about Issei for a second ? Naaah, it's not a question. Even if he's not specially talked bad about, I wanna stand up to give him the respect he deserves for those who thinks he's "only a cringe degenerate who doesn't deserve his situation", cuz OH MAN he's better written than most of characters in this list.
So Issei's development is built around imposter syndroma, which is impacting 2 aspects of his responsibilities : as the owner of one of the most powerful sacred gears in the world and as a man respectable enough to stand proudly besides the woman he loves.
For the first one it's kinda classic. He posseses the Red Dragon Emperor's Gauntlet while he's just a weak average teenage human, and as he gets beaten many times in the show. The most important thing about it is that everytime he gets beaten, he loses something : when he loses against Reynare, Asia gets kidnapped and killed, when he loses against Riser Phenix, Rias has to marry him against her will and even when he defeats Loki, Rias gets cursed and she almost gets lost in the void. Even though everything ends well (Asia gets resurected, he takes revenge on Riser, saves Rias from the curse), all he sees is when he fails because he feels like great powers has been given to him and yet he fails at protecting his beloved. It's classic but well done, as in its opposition to Vali Lucifer that is kind of a "gigachad" mc but as an antagonist.
But it gets plenty more interesting when we look his trust issues in women's affection towards him. The anime opens on Issei thinking he's never going to get loved by a girl and then a cute girl appears from nowhere, saying she loves him, making him feel loved and then boom, she kills him while saying she lied the whole time and that no girl could love him. That's what he's development is about in the 3rd and 4th seasons of the anime : he is haunted by the trauma caused by Reynare which, combined with his imposter syndroma making him feel unworthy of being loved, is constantly telling that every women showing affection to him are lying. And this whole character arc is beautifully resolved in a scene where his closest female friends show him there sincerity by getting naked, which is by the same time a moment that shows that fanservice can be used to increase the emotional impact of a scene.
Issei is a really touching and relatable mc as well as one of the best written of all shounen, and Highschool DxD is the greatest current anime.

Issei is a perv but that doesn’t mean he’s down bad. He aspires and has a goal in his life and aims to get stronger. He is Vali’s exact opposite considering Vali doesn’t have any goals left to chase. And Issei’s pervy nature combined with his caring and uplifting nature is why all of the girls, especially Rias, in ORC love the guy and want to be with him. Issei is also far from being a self-insert MC, which has plagued the Harem Genre a lot. He’s more in-line as a dumb MC on this list than a down-bad or self-insert MC.
I love the dude, and I anticipate his arrival when news of Season 5 breaks 😊.
