I heard you talking about feeling bad if your videos don't immediately hit. Of course, understood, but you have a totally different slant to POD than almost everyone on yt. I would keep persevering and believe in what you have to offer. The ones that are different always rise to the top eventually. Thanks for your videoes. I personally really love them and learn a ton from a completely different perspective/outlook and appreciate the value of that and you. You have a great deal to offer and are succinct. You will be rewarded for it.
Great video Shimmy, answered several questions I had. Nice to see you passed that 100k subscribers mark and thanks for maintaining that no B.S. attitude. Certainly enough B.S. in the world as it is without any of us having to add to the pile.
Thanks you Shimmy for being real and honest in this Internet space . Nowadays you have ti be careful on who you choose to listen to moreso in matters to do with this business model.
Here was my thing. I create gym type stuff but had Viking stuff and I love designing both. So I am combining the two by it being “warrior mind set” so hopefully I can do this and keep both focuses in my shop. I’m trying to build a brand. 😅

Hey Shimmy, thank you for another great video! I watched the whole video and I have a question that you can add for your next video like this. When creating designs, especially a text design, is it a good idea to create a few different versions of that same text with different graphics/fonts? So that way when you run ads, if all of those text designs are duds, you can move on, but if one takes off you know that text is good, but future designs need to be more like the one that sold well?
I wanted to ask about potentially including AOP t-shirts using designs, patterns etc? Is there a decent demand and margin with these? Is the polyester fabric for AOP products an issue?
thanks for sharing so many information. i checked the freebie section in the community but havent found the font recommendation - where are they. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for making this, it was very helpful! I had a question, you mentioned that 100 designs is a good number to start with. Do you then keep creating new designs and if so, how many do you add to your store per week/month? Do you keep creating new designs so that as time goes on you will have 1000's of designs in your store and this will keep growing, or is there a maximum number you would recommend (and if so, what is the max)? Also, do you recommend offering personalization for some/all your t-shirts? Thanks again, keep up the great work!
Thank you! Yes I keep adding. Each month is different. Maybe 30-50 a month. Sometimes we go wild and add 100 new designs in a month haha. We just started adding personalisation to our store. So we now have about 16 designs that can be personalised. Going to test that this Christmas season. I would say if you want to make more money keep adding. The more you add the more chances you have of finding winners and making more. Eventually You’ll keep them organised in collections
@@shimmymorris1 thanks! Is there a link to your store? You mentioned the Shopify design you used and it would be helpful to see how someone more experienced has designed their site!
@@shimmymorris1 I just saw your answer to another question saying you don't share your site, apologies for asking, I'm new to all this and didn't realise people didn't do this! One other question I had was about Facebook ads: is my understanding correct that if they cost, say, 0.50c per click, for $100 you would get 200 people clicking. Does that mean that with a, say, $10 per item profit margin, you would need a 5% conversion rate (with each person buying one item) in order to breakeven on the ad spend? Is that considered a high conversion rate (or what is a reasonable expectation)? And then what happens after that, do you have to keep up that rate of spending and hoping to achieve a conversion rate >5% in order to actually be profitable?
Great video, Shimmy.I have a quick question..If I am opening a brand new POD apparel store on Etsy this month, should i focus on only 1 niche and 1 product type (t-shirts) OR Should I focus on multiple niche (10+) and multiple product types within the same category (like sweatshirts, hoodies, tank tops, t-shirts, hats)?
#73 Canada and UK... you should also make sure the colours are the exact same for each provider. Some only carry a fraction of the colours US print providers can do.
Hello, I have a question. Let's assume that I drew an existing device such as a car or a computer in vector graphics and when printing this graphic, on a T-shirt, for example, I signed it under the graphic, i.e. the object that I drew. So my graphic shows a Macintosh computer from 1984. Can I put the inscription 1984 - Apple Macintosh 128K under the graphic on the T-shirt?
With your return policy (give it to charity) described @42.58 can say what percentage of your sales that is? I'm in Canada selling to the US so have the same issues. I would like to have that return policy but wonder how big the losses will be. Thanks for all the helpful info!
Hey Shimmy , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
Why is your website not listed? I see you only list your course. Next time you make a video, I want to see your t-shirt link so I know that you can be trusted, like the people I follow, otherwise, how am I to trust you.
I never share my brand website. I’ve done it in the past. And it got ripped off. I’ll never make that mistake again. I’ve spoken about this in length. If you don’t want to trust me that’s absolutely fine. I would never ever put my business in jeopardy again just to prove a point.
If POD was working for him, why would he be spending so much time and energy on UA-cam production? All these gurus are the same, just trying to sell courses because the ACTUAL thing isn’t working
Go back in his history, he’s actually very transparent compared to other UA-camrs on the subject. The vids are very informative and he almost strictly sticks to POD unlike others, if you want step by step there’s tons of content out there other than his. Chris Heckman did a 21hr step by step a few months ago. Shimmy’s YT is short but insanely informative and mostly to promote his Skool community which imo is insanely cheap for access to if you want to surround yourself with people in the space and at your same level. There are real asshats in the space that try to steal money from people, but try not to be too negative there are people truly trying to help people make their first dollars online and live a freer life, and I think its perfectly reasonable to make money whilst doing that.
@@codology7280 sure, potentially. I think it can work for the top 5%. But most people spend a few hundred dollars and then give up. What I would love to see is someone like him take a complete newbie, and do all live streams of setting up their store step by step, but more importantly, live streaming once a week to drive sales. Because setting everything up isn’t the hard part, it’s getting buyers
