Oh gosh, this is painfully accurate. About a month ago I was scrolling through UA-cam and found just a random meme that had fandroid’s character on the front with the typical black box across his face, with reds words within it that said “GROOMER”. I got terrified at first because I grew up watching Fandroid, but something didn’t add up. When I watched the video, all it was was a scene from one of those animations that bald guy with nose ring does. (please forgive me, I can’t remember his name for the life of me at the moment.) Anyways, he was looking at a character with fandroid’s face edited in and said something like, “You are so disappointing.” And then it ended. I was hoping to see screen shots or some kind of evidence at the end, but there was no explanation. So I checked the description of the video and I kid you not, this I remember well, this is what it said in the description, “Fck it, all my proof is in this video” and they left a link to another video that was essentially a ten minute analysis of Fandroid’s career and it’s downfall. There was practically nothing in the video that mentioned or even hinted at these supposed ‘allegations’. Then, as a last ditch effort, I looked in the comments of the analysis video, and there were quite a few people there who, like me, were wondering the same thing. WHAT EVIDENCE?? The creator of the video responded and also had no idea where the allegations came from, and why that person referenced their video as ‘proof’ in the first place. Everyone else only knew that, “Oh yeah, that thing that he did was so wrong” or, “I think it might’ve happened on twitter”. At that point I left, because it became clear to me that no one knew if actual evidence was there in the first place, and no one was able to supply it. And I haven’t seen even a lick of traction from that affair since then, and considering how quickly people can find evidence of anyone being a groomer, pedophile, etc. nowadays, the case was closed in my book. As the old and true saying goes, “Innocent until PROVEN guilty.” Not, “Guilty because I know so.”
