    Can I ask?
    I have BPI since April 8, 2024
    I am Diagnose with brachial plexus injury on my c5, c6, c7, right
    My 1st surgery was on June 12, 2024
    My operation was on Intercostal nerve transfer to musculocutaneous
    My 2nd surgery was on July 10, 2024
    My operation was on nerve transfer of spinal accessory to suprascapular right
    and currently im taking Mecobalamin 500mg (vitamin B12) twice a day.
    Can I ask if there's a chance for avulsion nerve to be completely healed or be attached back to spinal cord if I will continue taking my medicine, doing therapy and exercises, eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, avoiding toxic foods, alcohol and smoking cigarettes?

      You have to wait for at least 3 more months to be able to see results

    Sir I agree with seed concept but you guys not just throwing seeds . Patient undergoes several test (tbc, bp, xray, mri, ecg, echo) We can consider it as soil fertility and conditions now you know sources perfectly then why can't you plan and seed it perfectly to grow a plant with perfect condition according to those factors and condition

    • @GKHandSurgery
      @GKHandSurgery  Рік тому

      Yes, true. But when you plant 100 seeds after testing the soil, testing the seeds, and the temperature conditions, can you GUARANTEE that you will get 100 plants? And please remember, that even after all the investigations, the actual quality of the nerve can never be assessable. Interesting discussion anyway!

      @@GKHandSurgery yes I agree we cannot get that quality of nerve but what result can we expect from c5c6c7 nerve root scar and operated with the help of spinal Accessory nerve. At 89℅ of hand movement sir

    Hello Doctor, thanks for sharing this video. I've been to a motorcycle accident back in 2005 my left arm loose sensation and movement in 2011 i decided to undergo amputation surgery because i already loose hope since its not functioning at all. The only things that im still struggling is the non stop pain which felt like a needle stitching inside. To deal with the pain im taking pregabalin twice a day which made me feel a bit better. I just need your expert advise that may possibly save me from this everyday suffering. Thank you in advance

      @Alladin Cruz, I am sorry that you have had this unfortunate accident. I think you should consult a Pain Specialist / anesthesiologist for getting treatment for your pain.

    How long does it take to recover from this condition

    • @GKHandSurgery
      @GKHandSurgery  Рік тому

      It depends on the depth of injury and the number of nerves that have been involved.

    Do you know or recommend a book or article of rehabilitation of the plexus? I’m a physiotherapist and a I have a patient with braquial plexus injury from the radiation, removal of neck’s tumor and nerve transfer didn’t have any good results. Hi from Mexico 🇲🇽

    Thanks, what is the role of electrodiagnosis?

    • @GKHandSurgery
      @GKHandSurgery  2 роки тому

      I feel it has a limited role. The clinical examination and MRI myelogram are more beneficial.

      @@GKHandSurgery l don't think so. It has diagnostic and prognostic value as it can differentiate between preganglionic and postganglionic lessons, and it can detect signs of reinnervation and regeneration early.
