Glad to hear you are headed to Romania - had a trip planned there just before the pandemic - also heard many good things about it. Have a blast, I will probably be there in the Fall. Heading to Bangkok the day after tomorrow!
GO EDDIE GO! Glad to see you are about to embark on a new adventure! I'm certain you will find and educate us about nice cold Romanian Beer! Cheers and Godspeed!
Romania is an interesting place. Looking forward to your videos from there to see what it’s like. I’ll be back in the UK for a month at the end of July. Can’t say I’m as enthusiastic about my own trip.
I worked in that country, found a lot of people tried to rip you off when they found out that you was a foreigner, would never return there even if offered triple the salary. Hope you have a nice time,
There is always an option to have random seat selection but this option is usually hidden/hard to find like with wizz air for example where you have to click “no seat selection” which isnt intuitive but only after that page do u get the free seat allocation
I'm booked for a week in St. Maarten at the end of the month and chose not to spend extra for a pick of my seat, it's a short trip from Florida. So enjoy your trip Eddy and I will enjoy mine :)
Hi Eddie I visited there in the mid 90s. I had made lots of reservations and boy was I disappointed until I met the young lady who was a part time tour guide. We turned in the lousy car I got and hopped on the train. We had a lovely two weeks and say and lot of the country, even had a dinner with a man who she was very afraid of during the whole time. It turns out she said he was a high level member of the mafia. We visited Draculas' castle really a trip. Have a great trip.
Eddie, we have a discount airline called Spirit. They run deals like NY to Bahama for $19. But they are known to change the time of your departure flight at the last minute and when you arrive at the airport they say, sorry your flight left. You need to buy a full fare return. So make sure you confirm and reconfirm your departure.
Heading to Cyprus on the 6th of July with the family when I get back from offshore . Cannot wait. Hope you enjoy Romania mate .I’d love to go to Dracula’s castle. Thailand again in November for me .
Safe travels Eddie and look forward to seeing your reports as really enjoyed the stuff you sent from Crete last year. The hedge cutting can wait until you get back!😂

I finally got my ticket for Thailand last week Edd, 30th Nov to 30th Jan £530 return to Dublin, so just a 2 hour bus journey to the airport which is handy enough, think I'll cross into Cambodia and Vietnam as well and get a really good trip in
How many stops is that then ??? , I’m flying out on the 30th but from Heathrow, I will start looking soon , I’m in Thailand until beginning of September so it might be better to book it sooner rather than later lol

Myself and wife are off to Bucharest in September for 4 days so this is of huge help , can’t wait to see it though the eyes of a normal down to earth fella 👍 top man safe travels and enjoy 😊
Hi Watford, be prepared to see the beautiful aspects of Bucharest mixed in with grime and crumbling buildings, the extravagant and the run down are side by side there, we were quite surprised by it on a very recent trip there. Good Nightlife in the old town and Lake Herastrau and the botanical gardens are worth a visit for some peace and prettiness away from the hustle and bustle.
I was wondering about that cost of your flight because i was also searching for Romania albeit for September and i couldn't find anything close to £38 return....i also use Skyscanner but never click on the agents they recommend and click on the actually airline themselves where the price is higher but with the seat selection its always about the same if not cheaper.......really looking forward to your reports from Romania.

Hi Eddie, I visited Cluj for 3 days last September to watch a sporting event. My first time in Romania. A very impressive City. Hotels, taxis, food & beer all very cheap. The people are very nice indeed. I will definately be going back soon.
We just had two days in Cluj and really enjoyed it, going there after being in Bucharest was kind of puzzling as Cluj was beautiful and seemed more like it should have been the capital city than Bucharest, it's a lot more loved and invested in that Bucharest.

If you have an afternoon flight out of Bucharest I suggest you find a way to get there before the traffic builds up.
