Always a balanced review from you guys and this seems like a worthwhile upgrade from the original but I do think that the price increase is a bit steep. Possibly done to differentiate between this and the new MG4? Looking forward to seeing how this compares to your previous model.
We drove a new MG5 just like that a few weeks ago. I was impressed and thought the interior was a nice place to be. The ride was very refined and comfortable. We really need a towing capacity of at least 750 kg so it falls a bit short at 500 kg if we keep towing. Currently tempted by a Model 3. I've not driven the previous MG5 and had the same question about value.
@@ianwallis7703 It is. I don't understand why MG set the limit so low, as it has the torque and practicality for towing and camping. So we have to go for bigger or more expensive EVs. However the extra range and supercharger network make the Model 3 a better option in other ways. For now; Tesla plan to further open up their superchargers.

Have got the 5 Trophy in Hampstead Grey ( moving from Ioniq Hybrid) absolutely love it,looks premium and perhaps one other thing to mention it sits high on its wheels which enhances its presence. Agree about range issue, had to do a 90 mile airport pick up and thought on a cold December day 170 mile available would do the first half easily. Had to stop at services 2/3 way there. First charge points occupied and round the way at BP garage the others were being upgraded so torn out. Then hunted around Manchester airport perimeter for available chargers, leaving my family waiting for an hour an a half at the airport. A bit of a mare to say the least. However return journey much better. Getting used to charge drop and managing/ planning a journey. Back in love with the car.
Love the review style - - not preachy or punchy, or trying to be cool, just a great relaxed informative watch. Having now sat in the new 4, facelift 5 and facelift ZS ( trying to see which car I will buy or lease when my current motability lease runs out) the big concern for me is definitely that console. I actually find that although the 5 should be better than the 4 from a wheelchair user point of view the console issue is potentially the decider as there is such a big danger of me trashing it when passing the folded chair across my lap and stowing it on the front passenger seat.
Ah man, I see the issue. Is there something you could use to protect it just in case that happens? Maybe some kind of hard plastic container that in the event of contact, it will take the flack, not the screen???
@@Jamesandkate Possibly, but such a pain to have to temporarily protect stuff every single time that I get in and out of the car. Imagine doing this in the pouring Yorkshire rain while an impatient dog is barking at you from the rear…..the incorporation of ever bigger more prominent screens and huge centre consoles is in danger of becoming a very big issue for independent wheelchair users.
Thanks for yet another great video from you both. I’ve spent the last five weeks using a new pre-facelift base model MG5 (covering over 1,300 miles) as I was doing some research for Motability on the accessibility of the public infrastructure. Overall I was very impressed with the pre-facelift MG5 although the boot was too small to fit my wheelchair and a pushchair in easily. Charging at the front was a big bonus for me access wise. The newer facelift model looks like a good improvement but I’m also not keen on the bigger centre consul and moving the climate control into the screen; I prefer physical controls so you don’t have to take your eyes off of the road. Thanks, Ian :)
Good to hear that Motability are showing serious interest in EV's. That will be a real plus for users with limited mobility, which will save them money whilst reducing the negative effects of exhaust fumes on health. I don't qualify for the scheme, but do have a good friend who depends upon Motability, and who really dislikes having to travel in the back of a Diesel-powered van which will take her wheelchair and ramp.
Excellent review from 2 experienced MG 5 owners, I really think it is so valuable how your 2 views complement each other! It will be interesting to see how the MG 5 is performing as a van in the future, please compare it also with the e-EV200, it will be nice to get some idea about the difference in consumption. And I'd be even more grateful if you could do a review on the new MG 4, a car I am seriously considering myself:) I could be wrong but I think it will be the breakthrough car for MG and will be selling in very large numbers in 2023.
Hi guys hope you had a lovely Christmas. If James was wondering why a dark, blue kia was flashing him heading towards earl shilton this week around midday it was me (if he was in his MG works van). Cheers
James if you ever bump into me on the road I’d love you to drive my Niro with the tyres I fitted to my leaf 215/50 17s XL winter variants rather than the 215/55 17s that should be fitted as standard on the niro as the transformation is a revelation yes there’s a bit more road noise but the steering “weight” and cohesion is brilliant mate I’m going to use XLs on the front when I transfer back to my primacy summer tyres in the spring to see if those extra load tyres make a difference. Straight line vagueness on motorways is gone replaced by pin sharp weight you won’t believe the transformation it’s that good. Cheers
Great review, I really like what they have done to upgrade the car it has a more modern look especially on the inside. I reckon I'll stick with my MG5 lg from last year for now just yet, I still really like it.🙂
Picked my MG5 Trophy up yesterday, virtually off the back of your reviews, also did the front container storage mod this morning, we also have a Kona EV 64kwh thats mega efficient easy 5 mile / kw, wheel and tyre size is the same on both cars, however the Kona has a higher pressure, so I’ve added a few PSi to the MG to see if it adds efficiency and effects ride / handling Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks for another great video. I was intent on upgrading my 2021 MG5 LR but after a test drive I decided not too because I found the ride firmer and still annoyingly when on a motorway the national speed limit on the dash keeps flashing over 60mph. Also the trophy would have cost me another 9 grand. So although it's a great looking car and all the upgrades are good I still felt that I was buying the same car and I'm so pleased with my one.
MG is the front line of the Chinese EV invasion. Great review of great car. The transition to sustainable transport is about to accelerate with MG5 mk2. Thanks guys.
I’m a fan of pre face lift even though it looks dated I like the stealth look that just blends in and is unrememberable only thing I’d like is the LED lights and wheels but in 16” maybe
Thanks James and Kate. Please let us know how the efficiency changes with different tyres and / or wheels, and also with age. There could be a little friction somewhere which might reduce after a few weeks of use.
Hi J&K - Great video as is the norm !. I have only one complaint both, where is the main young lady guest presenter ( Florence ) in this latest feature. She reminds me SO much of my grand children, always comes out with something funny to say, when you least expect it 🤣!. The first MG5 you bought, has to be one of the best V.F.M. purchases you have ever made and a really good testament in owning a EV that has to cover SERIOUS miles on a daily basis. Not to mention all of that extra gear it is pulling as your mobile EV workshop. The early savings gained on the first MG5 over using a ICE to do your job, must have gone a LONG way in funding the new MG5. Looking forward to seeing some more "On The Road" EV repair video's when the weather improves James !. There must be a pretty long list of brakes services building up at least by now, due to the bad weather. Take good care.
It looks great and ive personally recommended these on the back of your reviews. Personally, Im still not impressed with the charge port being where it is. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent review. At the end you promised progress updates. Do you plan an update in the near future? I am trying to decide between an ex-demo MG5 or new shape Kona Electric for my next EV. Chalk and cheese really but a significant price differential in favour of the MG.
Looked at both corolla and mg5 but I keep them and do big miles, 340,000 on prius with no issues just can't see ev holding up without severe battery degradation.. Plus nothink in it running cost wise.
Would be very interested to know the efficiency you get from this on longer journeys and how that compared to the previous mg5. Look forward to more updates
I loved to see both in the same vid it was some time ago. I have ordered my new mg zs and will most likely get it in a week or two. In the meanwhile I have the new mg 5 and I agree it is not as efficient I am driving it with the 16” stud tires as I live in Sweden with snow and ice. The range is at least here greatly reduced when comparing with previous model.
Wow 7k more than the previous model That’s a massive increase , I know they have made improvements. I wonder if the import costs have risen a lot to have this large increase
Charging LiFeP04. I cant get a straight answer to this and I value your experience. I have a BYD Att03 with a LiFePo4 battery, should I charge to 100%, consistently or occasionally to ensure the battery is fully utilised
also tyres can have a massive impact on efficency, when i changed my leafs to pirelli cintrino p7, i gained 1mpkwh (i dont recall the tyres but they wasnt the OEM ones)
The app looks a lot better than the CUPRA ONE. Pity the centre console doesn't un clip. Is rear leg room good enough for 6ft driver and 6ft rear passenger ?
@@paul._david Like how many people can you get in a mini ? I just found the Born rear seats where a bit wider had more room. MG4 price is rising like all EV and ICE cars.
Hey James and Kate, love the videos. I have picked up my MG5 today, we already have the MG4 in the household. Quick question which you may or may not know. How do you see what Kers has generated on a long drive?
MG ought to think about offering the electric adjustment for the passenger seat as an option, as some other makes do. Other than that, it seems clear that MG have listened to feedback from the original version. It's no difficult to see why new MG sales are going through the roof. The MG4 can only see this go from strength to strength.
I’ve noticed a jump in MPG on a Skoda Octavia Estate (1.9 TDi) switching from 205/55/R16 alloys to 195/65/R15 steel wheels (plus wheel trims!). That’s over winter as well where the fuel mix changes so tend to get less MPG. Consistently see 50-58mpg where previously 45-52mpg. It also improved ride quality as well - much more compliant. Would be interesting to compare/contrast on the MG5. Great video and look forward to see how you get on in future videos
Does it remember settings when you turn it off now? When I test drove an MG5 a year ago I got a nasty fright when I turned on the car and drove to a junction and applied the brake, when I lifted off the pedal it started rolling and I had to turn on auto hold again. Pretty sure it lost my KERs setting too!
Hi you two, my name is Les from Wigan I’m a member of the podcast crew on the MGEVs forum podcast you may have seen, and I too have come from a MG5 SR 50kw which I had for around 20 months and it was brilliant 18500 miles averaged 4.4 mpkh over that time with no problems totally great car it was. But I now have the new facelift 5 trophy model and I have to say not as happy with this as my old car the efficiency the handling and the steering is awful in comparison and only feels somewhere about right in the sport mode which I don’t use because the efficiency is not good to kick off with. My old 5 felt far more planted on the road than this new one. I have watch all your videos over the years now and always enjoy them now in this currant one James you say you may try replacing the wheels for the smaller 16 inch ones which I thing the face lifted SE comes with and of course all the older models only had 16 inch wheels fitted, so I was wondering if you did try this and what the difference was ? as I have a feeling this is why I feel the handling and steering feel so poor on this trophy model. I remember a short while ago on your first 5 at around 41000 miles you had a wheel off it and commented about the total lack of wear on the brakes even at that mileage, I bet James you won’t got that mileage on this new one because of the MG pilot systems using the brakes to slow the car drives me mad that MG Pilot not a fan at all, please give me plain simple cruise control as my old car had and let the driver control the slowing down. So as you can tell not really that impressed and feel like I have wasted a fair lump of extra money for nothing really to be honest apart from much better lights and the app Ismart great on a cold morning feel like I’ve made a big mistake. Keep up the great work and videos. Les
Love your videos and always look forward to the next one. I’ve been renting the old version of the MG5 Exclusive LR and love it. Thinking of buying one but, as the engineering is no different on the updated version, do you think it’s worth an extra £5k, which is the difference that I’d pay for the newer over the older. We are a retired couple that travel and like the estate for carrying bikes and sometimes other family members.
I was considering the new MG5 Trophy Long Range but found the centre console too high for my left leg. I’m 6’6” and my knee irritatingly kept rubbing against it, which was a shame although I note another comment from a 6’9” driver who doesn’t find it to be an issue, which is good. I just purchased a new MG5 original model and love it, and the monthly payments are around £100 cheaper, which is significant. I also prefer that the heating controls on the older model are actual knobs/dials so don’t have to go into the infotainment screen to adjust them. Whatever model you go for, I don’t think you can go wrong with an MG right now!
Appreciate your efforts in making yet another great video both of you !! An MG5 is still on my radar so found this very relevant and will be interested in the results of your tyre test James. Thanks again.
i have a MG5 with Elmo subscription under battery heater setting when i put battery heater on it goes straight off do you know if this is most likely as its not available on my car or more likely a fault model is 2022 MG MG5 EV Exclusive Long Range 61kWh
Good review guys, based on yours and other reviews on this model I'm about to pull the trigger on one, specifically the Trophy model as I think the extra's are worth paying a bit more for.
James do you still have the other mg5 you had before? Will we still be getting an update about that car and it's higher mileage status as I have the same older style long range model. Thanks John Lorimer Ayrshire Scotland
Is the efficiency issue down to the intelligent battery heater being turned on as it has been on the mg4s from the factory causing low efficiency until turned off
Can you use apps such as Waze from your phone to the screen of the car for navigation, or dose it have something else? I found your maintenance roundtrips very interesting seeing what the conmen faults with the different ev's are.
12:06 Is the max charging speed the same on the new and old model? What did you mean the charging speed has been reduced? Compared with the old MG5? Or they've downgraded the new MG5 because of some charging issues? Or something else?
Hi. They’ve reduced the charge speed from 100kWs to 80kWs but it will charge at 80 for longer. They’ve basically worked out that at a slightly slower speed it charges quicker and is better for the battery 👍🏻
Thank you, I look forward to the updates on this. I am in the market next year for an estate EV (I really don't like the crossover's/SUVs) and this is one I am keeping an eye on along with the upcoming Astra and 308 estate EVs.
I do think some of the price increase is to do with battery materials and parts increases and that MG sold the previous one at a lower profit to gain market share. Also, the government grant has stopped now.
What size battery does it have, How many miles to a full charge, How many miles to the KW, Don't think I heard that info in the video, Centre consolel crap, got parked up the other day and the only way out was to slide across to the passenger seat to get out, I would like to see you try that.
I was a fan of the previous MG5 as unpretentious transport and a value for money offering. To me, the changes do not warrant the additional cost (though the previous Gen car had it’s pricing set at a time where all cars were lower cost), especially given the apparent drop in efficiency. It’s still a great offering, but it feels like that money has been spent trying to lift the car into a segment where it’s competition is much more polished. 🤷🏻♂️
Great review, thanks. I am looking for an electric estate car. However, the one thing that puts me off the MG5 is the high lip at the rear. It makes it difficult for my dogs to jump in. If they were to change that (and the centre console!), I would go for the MG5 in a shot. As it is, the Skoda Enyaq looks better (for the dogs) though somewhat more expensive.
I’ve seen a few pics of an MG5 on the forum. The chap has something rigged up for his elderly dog that swings out like a ramp so it can walk up. The boot floor does have two levels but I agree, there’s still a big lip at the back.
I thought the £7k increase was to bring it back in line with everything else. When the previous model was released everyone said it was very cheap so there had to be a catch, or wasn't bad despite its bargain basement looks and price.
Bonne année from France and thanks for another well presented and informative review. Questions I have are around battery size, battery type (we know MG offer both LFP and NMC on the MG4) and expected range.
I bought the facelift MG5 based on your experiences of the previous version. I swapped out a Diesel Passat and iMIEV for it. Happy with car but I have noticed the efficiency less than expected....though its coming up a bit...get low 3's atm. Also interested if you can find a fabled tow bar.....everyone says its available....though you mention it, as well as others.
Hi, great video, thanks for taking the time to put it together. Regarding the ability to set an 80% charge limit for battery health, I'm presuming because of the miles you cover you will not use this, especially as the 2 current mg5 you are running are doing very well with soh?
True. It will go to 100% every night as the others do. In fairness, I’m they stop charging at around 5am and leave at 6 so the effect would be minimal on ours 👍🏻
Is the old one getting its seats back and heading for retirement as weekly transport for an old couple who just want to nip to the shop on a Sunday? Kinda feel it deserves it. Also, what do you do with the rear bench? Give it legs and stick it in the living room, Top Gear style?
Thank you for this review. Looks like a good value estate car. Only thing that puts me off is the lack of a heated steering wheel. I have checked the specs again, as i thought the updated version would include it, like the MG4 does. Can you confirm if it does not have this still? I know you can wear gloves, but if you have poor circulation you really need a heated steering wheel, it is essential really. Which is a shame as the bigger space of MG5 would be better than me. But if no heated steering wheel id have to go for the MG4. Thank you.
Great video as usual, it seems to be a quiet car inside even though you weren't doing motorway speeds & does it have memory function for the driver's seat?
Assuming the charger cable/s would fit in the space a frunk would allow,it seems strange for MG not to design a simple peice of plastic with a lid to take advantage of the room.
I’ve had the original MG5 for 2 years and love it. Would I buy the new updated model ? Yes but I couldn’t justify the big price increase. Yes the new model certainly has some nice little improvements but not at that price. Although it’s probably worth it just for improved LED lights
Interesting stuff. Thanks. I am surprised that they haven't looked at a bigger battery option (or at least I haven't seen anything about this) but other than that centre console the only thing I would change is the price. Just too much in my opinion. Seven grand equates to over 30% increase if my mental maths is correct which even in the current climate is a bit excessive. Whatever happened to manufacturers managing to freeze or even reduce the price on a revision model of a car?
My whole car cost me 7 grand about 5 years ago. Obviously 2nd hand and old but it's very good. This is the problem at the current moment with the EV world.
@@ianhamilton3113 is that about 13333 miles? I can see how that would add up. I guess that I don't do more than 1/2 that which is still good. I would have to spend 5-7k to build a driveway though (in my area it's 2k just for the council kerb change).
Will be interesting to see how it compares to the Astra EV estate out later this year. On subject of tyres - which do you recommend? I remember you managed high mileage in the MG 'van' but didn't say what they where.
Nice review - I remember reading this new model is slightly slower in the 0-60mph as it has smoother power delivery too. Will be interesting to see how you find it compares for daily use. Out of curiosity - would those rear lights be available from an MG dealer and (other than cutting the headlining) be easy enough to fit with wires to the front light unit?
Like many I will be interested in how you get on with it. Veering off that car, how is your old one doing ie mileage, battery capacity and general wear and tear.

Another balanced, detailed and very useful video. Thank you both.

Cheers
James & Kate thinking of buying the new face lift MG5 did you change the wheel size for added economy? If so what size? And difference in economy
Enjoyed the Vlog, thanks for a brilliant service on my Niro EV a truly first class service. Hailsham 👍
Thank you and we’re chuffed that you’re chuffed with our service ❤️
Great review, I really like what they have done to upgrade the car it has a more modern look especially on the inside. I reckon I'll stick with my MG5 lg from last year for now just yet, I still really like it.🙂
Picked my MG5 Trophy up yesterday, virtually off the back of your reviews, also did the front container storage mod this morning, we also have a Kona EV 64kwh thats mega efficient easy 5 mile / kw, wheel and tyre size is the same on both cars, however the Kona has a higher pressure, so I’ve added a few PSi to the MG to see if it adds efficiency and effects ride / handling
Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks for another great video.
Good choice! You have to do what makes you happy 👍🏻
MG is the front line of the Chinese EV invasion. Great review of great car. The transition to sustainable transport is about to accelerate with MG5 mk2. Thanks guys.
James & kate Hows the new mg5 trophy performing against the old mg5 model in range and comfort?
I’m a fan of pre face lift even though it looks dated I like the stealth look that just blends in and is unrememberable only thing I’d like is the LED lights and wheels but in 16” maybe
Insightful, concise and relevent. Thanks for all you two do. 👌
She’ll be back in another video soon and the new Mg will be in featuring too 👍🏻
It looks great and ive personally recommended these on the back of your reviews.
This car a serious competitor to Corolla hybrid estate in both passenger and commercial variants. Well done mg ! Thanks for the review 👌
Our pleasure!
Chromed plastic handles on doors feel very lightweight.Wondering if they will hold up in the long term?
There are a few more estates in the pipeline from Peugeot and Vauxhall so it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against them.
Wow 7k more than the previous model
That’s a massive increase , I know they have made improvements. I wonder if the import costs have risen a lot to have this large increase
Great review. Will there be another video of James travelling up and down the country fixing and servicing evs ?
He’s making one at the moment in the older MG, but subsequent vids will be in this car as soon as it’s ready.
Charging LiFeP04. I cant get a straight answer to this and I value your experience. I have a BYD Att03 with a LiFePo4 battery, should I charge to 100%, consistently or occasionally to ensure the battery is fully utilised
Make every 3rd charge a 100% minimum. LiPo needs to see 100% on a regular basis.
Excellent review. Getting my Exclusive (Trophy in UK) next month. Your positive review has me feeling I made the right choice. Thanks again!
also tyres can have a massive impact on efficency, when i changed my leafs to pirelli cintrino p7, i gained 1mpkwh (i dont recall the tyres but they wasnt the OEM ones)
Thanks guys, your reviews are great.
Our pleasure!
With such a long guarrantee is there any real benefit to buying new? Second prices after 2 years save £10k plus. Thanks
We now buy second hand because the prices are so good. I'd look at second hand, low mileage first 👍🏼
Thanks. Great advice.
Hope there will be a detailed video on turning this into a van. My company MG5 arrives at the end of the month.
I’ll put something together 👍🏻
Put a set of 16” VW steels on it . If they are 17s on. Use a tyre calculator to get ratio to 1% tolerance 😊
It does remember the auto hold, but regen and drive mode are reset each time 🙄
Hi you two, my name is Les from Wigan I’m a member of the podcast crew on the MGEVs forum podcast you may have seen, and I too have come from a MG5 SR 50kw which I had for around 20 months and it was brilliant 18500 miles averaged 4.4 mpkh over that time with no problems totally great car it was.
Les
Hi Les, did you not test drive the facelift ?
So true, they’re all ace cars. Glad you’re happy with yours 👍🏻
Good review as always, Happy new year
Happy new year!
I wish they make a 6/7 seater/3rd row seats, for this.
Appreciate your efforts in making yet another great video both of you !! An MG5 is still on my radar so found this very relevant and will be interested in the results of your tyre test James. Thanks again.
Our pleasure!
i have a MG5 with Elmo subscription under battery heater setting when i put battery heater on it goes straight off do you know if this is most likely as its not available on my car or more likely a fault model is 2022 MG
MG5 EV Exclusive Long Range 61kWh
Good review guys, based on yours and other reviews on this model I'm about to pull the trigger on one, specifically the Trophy model as I think the extra's are worth paying a bit more for.
I like this car!! It’s an old fashioned estate car rather than an SUV!!
James do you still have the other mg5 you had before? Will we still be getting an update about that car and it's higher mileage status as I have the same older style long range model. Thanks John Lorimer Ayrshire Scotland
Hi John. Yes we do. This is our third MG. All the updates will keep coming 😂
Is the efficiency issue down to the intelligent battery heater being turned on as it has been on the mg4s from the factory causing low efficiency until turned off
It’s not, I’ve checked this. I think it’s the wheel and tyre combination
Can you use apps such as Waze from your phone to the screen of the car for navigation, or dose it have something else? I found your maintenance roundtrips very interesting seeing what the conmen faults with the different ev's are.
Isn't there a programable button on the steering wheel to add a most used control?
@@paul._david same as that 👍🏻
There is.
Fair. Forgot about the grant 🤦🏻♂️
What size battery does it have, How many miles to a full charge, How many miles to the KW, Don't think I heard that info in the video, Centre consolel crap, got parked up the other day and the only way out was to slide across to the passenger seat to get out, I would like to see you try that.
Great review as always. I think what MG are producing for that money is incredible. Hopefully we’ll get news on our ZS sometime this year. 🤣
Skoda Octavia estate Plug-In hybrid?
Nope, it’s still grafting hard and will continue to. We keep them in storage for when we sell them.
Excellent as always.❤
Thanks, Craig.
Thank you.
Sadly there’s no heated steering wheel ☹️
Is the Apple Carplay / Android Auto wireless?
I would love to have a MG5 EV estate but I live in New Zealand they will not be on sale here as it's all about SUVs ☹️
Great video as usual, it seems to be a quiet car inside even though you weren't doing motorway speeds & does it have memory function for the driver's seat?
Unfortunately not. You have to swap it for each driver. For us, no issue, it’s really only me 😂
Assuming the charger cable/s would fit in the space a frunk would allow,it seems strange for MG not to design a simple peice of plastic with a lid to take advantage of the room.
Are the push notifications on the app whilst charging also good?
Many fail in that part.
I’ve actually not used it. I always stay with the car when rapid charging.
Seems like a great car and a great review as always.
On an aside, do you still do servicing on people's drives?
We certainly do. Mobile@cleevelyev.co.uk for enquiries. Thanks and thanks
Excellent review. Very useful
Glad it was helpful!
I’ve had the original MG5 for 2 years and love it. Would I buy the new updated model ? Yes but I couldn’t justify the big price increase. Yes the new model certainly has some nice little improvements but not at that price. Although it’s probably worth it just for improved LED lights
The headlights are terrible. How did they allow that 🤷🏻♂️
Interesting stuff.
There is a bigger pack planned
Did the £7k Kate mentioned ,take into account of any government ev grant which is now no longer available?

Another great review. I am a new EV owner and was wondering How to book a service in the future .
Pop an email to mobile@cleevelyev.co.uk 👍🏻
My whole car cost me 7 grand about 5 years ago. Obviously 2nd hand and old but it's very good. This is the problem at the current moment with the EV world.
I agree, they’re expensive, but it’s worth remembering the ascertain reprice of a new car in the UK is 29k.
Charging at home, I save about 15p per mile with my used EV which adds up to over £2000 per year. Add on to that the repair costs I don't have.
@@ianhamilton3113 is that about 13333 miles? I can see how that would add up. I guess that I don't do more than 1/2 that which is still good. I would have to spend 5-7k to build a driveway though (in my area it's 2k just for the council kerb change).
Does the new app work with the original first model MG5 ?
Tried one of these but, when sitting in the back my feet didn’t fit under the front seats.
LED Headlights great but the new front end I don't like much prefer the original, would be good if they produced a van
Is the emf readings lower on the new ev cars
No idea
Actually Škoda class the enyaq as an SUV but I disagree and think it's more like an octavia estate that's taller due to the batteries under the floor.
Ordered my Enyaq IV 60 👍
Will be interesting to see how it compares to the Astra EV estate out later this year.
On subject of tyres - which do you recommend? I remember you managed high mileage in the MG 'van' but didn't say what they where.
Hi. We fitted Devanti tyres. They have a warranty as we’ll bizarrely 👍🏻
I’d have to take a look but the front are a different shape to the older ones.
Like many I will be interested in how you get on with it. Veering off that car, how is your old one doing ie mileage, battery capacity and general wear and tear.
Hi. Both SOHs are over 95%, one at 51k and the other at 64k. Touch wood, faultless so far.
