Inktober Tangles Days 4, 5, & 6

- Join me in drawing the Inktober Tangle 2023 prompts one step at a time in my Lunchtime Tangle Series. Relax and enjoy watching your tangles take on a life of their own, growing in beautiful ways before your eyes that you didn't expect.
SUPPLIES: I am using the following materials to create my tangles. You can also use much less. A simplified list also follows.
Paper: either Renaissance Opus tile or Strathmore Tone Taned paper 9x12 inches, or white paper that you color tan with tea/coffee staining, watercolor, dyes, or distress ink oxide 9x12 inches Micron pens from Sakura (or similar pigment liners) in black, brown, and dark brown in size 01 and 005 respectively Colorless pencil blender or colorless solvent blender. Shown above are my Copic dual-ended blender and Prismacolor colorless pencil blender Gel pens in white, and gold- your choice of brand Colored pencils: Prismacolor: black grape, black cherry, sepia, light umber, Sienna brown, henna, crimson lake, white; Faber Castell: brown ochre, Indian red, and caput mortuum violet General’s white charcoal pencil Graphite pencil 2B or other soft pencil of your choice Plastic eraser (pen style) Kneaded eraser Several paper blending stumps/tortillions

So glad. And so glad you got the paper. I think it will make things easier. That Renaissance paper from ZT is too soft and not forgiving if you have to erase.

I would like to draw Inktangle 2023. Do you use A3 paper (big one) to do this ? I baught paper like yours, graphit pencil 6B, Pen like yours etc. But when I use the White pencil, it breakes many time. So it is difficult to use it. Could you help me saying what do I have to do with this White pencil please?

Sure - you can use A3. Just size your Crazy Huggins string down to fit. That means you'll have to tangle smaller. For that you might want some finer pen tips - 005. Also if you use a white colored pencil rather than the General's white charcoal, it shouldn't break on you. Try not to press too hard. For the graphite, I would suggest more like a 3B. 6B is very soft and smears too much. Have fun with the project!
