Good show Michael. We talked about getting Ebikes also, but I think we are too old for that. Ha. We had a good season of camping this year. Hope you did too. Oh yeah, that’s right, you camp you’re around don’t you?
Thank you for watching another one of my videos again :) I hope you were eating popcorn while watching it :) That's great you were able to get out camping this year, we've been camping a lot this year. I'm not sure if I told you already but we went on a 10,000 mile 3 month long trip February - April with several stops from Northern California down south and along the coast to Key West Florida then up to North Carolina. It was a great trip and best of all the weather was great and it only rained a couple times in the evenings for a couple hours. Soon after we got home they all started getting hit with bad weather, lucky us and good planning by my wife (I just drive :) ). We pretty much camp year round every two weeks for 3 nights but we are home for a month trying to catch up on projects around the house.
I load my Lectric e-bikes on my Swagman E-Spec by pulling the bike somewhat past the end of the rack, then I engage the rear wheel brake, pull back on the handlebars which lifts front tire,. I then swing the front tire over into it's tray on the bike rack. I then grab the rear luggage rack and lift the rear of the bike again swinging the tire over into it's tray on the bike rack. If it's the front bike, I then just transfer it to the forward trays, lift the center bar, and proceed to secure it down. I then just repeat with the second bike. This way I'm never lifting the entire weight of the bike.
Thanks so much for watching and sharing. I really like how you are loading your bikes, I wish I had thought of that. I appreciate you letting me & others know. Hopefully others will read your comment. One question for you - How are you liking your bike rack and how long have you had it?
@@thetraveltrailerguy I am thoroughly pleased with my Swagman E-Spec bike rack. We used to fold our Electric e-bikes, put them in tubs, and put them in our trailer. This is so much easier and enjoyable and we take the bikes more than previously.
Thank you for watching and your question. Yes you can buy the ramp separate, here's a link to it. Hope this helps. We have had the understanding that Lance trailers cannot support anything on the rear bumper and no receiver hitches. We have a 2019 2295 model. Can you advise? We'd love to be able to carry e-bikes back there.
Hello Julie you are correct to not attach a receiver hitch to the back bumper. I mounted my hitch receiver assembly to the frame, so nothing is attached to the bumper except the bumper. Keep an eye out next Friday 10/4/24 in the afternoon I will be sharing another UA-cam video showing the receiver hitch I installed that the bike rack is attached to.
Thanks Mike, I'm tired of loading and unloading our ebikes in the truck.
