Beautiful. The second scherzo reminds me the wonderful Lyapunov's sonata at some times (9:07 and 9:43 for example). It is not even the same key but it sounds similar in a way, I don't know how to explain.
@Hose2wAcKiEr I wasn’t speaking about formal, sonata-form-like development structure. I was speaking about general development of recognizable themes throughout the piece.
It's worth mentioning, that these are obviously from piano rolls. I wish it were physically possible to play octaves this quickly in real life -- but it's not... not by anyone.

I don’t know which was composed first, but Balakirev reused some parts of the 2nd scherzo in his 2nd unfinished sonata first movement.
