Quicky, I just want to say, that I very much enjoy watching yours and Jingles' videos. I have been searching for map tactics for a couple of weeks, and just today found you had "live" tactic mapping. Thanks! Keep up the good work, to the both of you. BTW, this vid series, map tactics, is what made me subscribe to your channel. I have been subscribed to Jingles for over a month now, and have watched a few of your vids, but now I am a subscriber.
I thought I would let you know, I Played on Redshire for the first time after watching your Redshire Tactics video and damn did it win us the game, I was in my King Tiger and was on the red flag side, went stright to that corner and after about a min or two moved along to cover the massive kill zone you talked about and it worked a charm. Thank you so much =D
Great job, keep up this amazing work. It's very, very useful for a player like me who played almost only Heavy Tanks. Liked and favoured, hope you do it till you've covered every map:)
this is actually the first video that i watch and it is simply genious. thanks to you now i know what to do with my light and heavy tanks. thumbs up and a subscribe!
I'm really liking this, the wealth of info is really really useful. Please keep doing these extensive and detailed videos, they're awesome. Perhaps you could add a little addendum to the heavy tank locations: Some heavies have terrible accuracy/aiming (IS-6 for instance) while others (Tiger 2) do really well with that, these would have two completely different strategies and locations. This wouldn't really go for mediums and lights (Panther 1/2 are the exception) but for heavies it would.
I use my type 62 to stay as passive scout in B6. With max view range you can just spot the TD's in C2, and of course a lot of tanks in the middle rocks, at the airplanes and at the hangars. Once the enemy has a tank low on health, I usually try and take the kill. There is a good rock to go behind after you fire. The risk is, if there is no one to cover you, and a tougher tank decides no more spotting for you. You do need your team to put flanking shots on anyone approaching, or you're boned.
Just a couple of wonders. At 4.36 when you discuss the southern aproach, you mentione that "only" the Arty will be able to put pressure on you. But when playing TD i have found, starting at red base, that the palmtree and the rock overlooking the water is a nice place to be. I usually can hold that line wery well, holding back any Heavy that tries that approach. Whats your toughts about that, out of curiosity? Great videos by the way! :D
I love your guides. Some of the things are obvious and some I haven't thought about (1750 eff here) Anyway thanks a million these guides are VERY useful for new players and I hope they watch them before jumping, doing a weird kamikaze and calling their team noobs. Also grtz on 10k twitch followers. Sorry I couldn't watch the live stream :D
Good stuff, agree pretty much on it all. Do like taking a light if fast enough up to those rocks up in north assuming there is little to no arty otherwise yeah arty eats them. Even Medium with low pen gun assuming has good camo can get alot of flank supporting shots from there but have to be careful. Depends on team really. Also should mention that spot in Northeast corner Arty or scout like to sit there at times
idk why but i find these videos boring yet i know i should watch them because they enlighten me and allow we to see my mistakes. Therefore tremendously increase my effectiveness. Thank you Quicky Baby
Great video series QB, very useful. :) I will have to put my vote in for Pearl River as it is the new boy on the block and I think people (including myself) are still very much getting to grips with it. Would be very interesting to see your opinion.
Interesting approach. HistoryGuru largely wrote off the J line as too dangerous from any direction. He felt the map would be won at E5 and E6 and that the J line was a bit of a trap because of the kill zones at either end. But I guess I can see its merits for green base.
I was able to try the southerly attack in my King tiger. I made the mistake of stopping by the rock outcrop. I had no support but I was able to hold the flank for a while and iwas able to get several good shots off. Thanks for the tips. Keep them coming!
You and I think a lot alike, only when I'm from green in my lights I like to take the little hill with the palm tree on it right above where you go with your heavies because I can spot the people that like to snipe at you while you're trying to get through the water. it's mostly arty safe if you're in a shorter light and you're free to retreat and take up different positions. Red's always harder on this map. your tips should help.
This is one of the few maps I risk using ap arty shells on. Position your arty on south side. Wait for a heavy to go south coast and one shot with ap round. Arty can get excellent aiming reti
There is one important spot you haven't mentioned and that is that you can drive up the ridge right at the cross of G,F,3,4 if you are in a fast tank and then in the cover of the north ridge of the red town enter into the town and go arty hunting, or from there kill the red tanks hiding on the west side of the hill.
Thnx for elucidating the error of north scouting positions on B5-6, i used to think that position was a good one, as it provides so much flanking shots vs ignorant enemies... Your killzone analysis effectively gave me a stage-by-stage tactics options, which make the north spotting simply irrelevant. thnx
Cheers Quicky, i was offline for about 3 years and totally useless on battlefield after my return to game, but thanks to those maps guides and videos im getting a lot better :P.
Sirgan S yeah, i've been away for a while as well and the maps really changed and a lot are gone also and replaced with new ones. especially the overlord map i have trouble with. can't find good positions on it with good lines of fire. and it seems to be a rare map for me as well, that doesn't help either really.
With all respect QB, I have had very nice results playing from red base by stationing my TD or even normal tank around Kilo 2 and fire onto the southern approach. If you let them advance a bit they will be unable to retreat due to the bad ground and water?
only suggestion, please make map full screen so we can see details better. No offense we know what you look like by now so map full screen. Love the video topic and format excluding what I mentioned earlier
Great videos - thanks for the effort. Pearl River and Malinovka (gasp) please. Someone suggested using battle footage - I would suggest not - your map videos are providing are the raw, refined tactics plus we can watch your youtube battle footage if we want to see the tactics in action.
Why you didn't mentioned about the inside of the horseshoe at E7? You can shoot from there on the F line, on the entire hill, you can create a killzone on line 7, you can shoot lots of targets on E6, and you can also kill any scouts on lines B and C. Also you can shoot camping tanks in G3, or anything that's pushing on G4. Oh, and you have some bushes and cover from arty....
woderfúl. 25 min just to find out that light tactics is "take the mid, fall back". Ive never heard such a thorough tactics guide before. Its a bit too long and difficult to remember but i have written it down, ao that i can peek into my hints now
Hi QuickyBaby, first of all you made awesome videos that helped me a lot in the WOT fights. I would really appreciate if you could spend some time and make a map strategy video about "Cliff". I am having a hard time to find a nice or good location for my Tortoise, because I am slow I always missed the best opportunity for getting to the correct spot and snipping enemies. And light tanks around the light house bring me tons of troubles as well.
love the map tactics videos, but it's a lot to take in at once; why not break them up into a video for each class of tank. barring that, you could put the timings for each section in the description. thanks either way and keep up the great work!
I know that is a lot to ask but id like to see some ingame use of your tactics. Maybe you can upload some replays showing how to dominate centre etc, would love to see that. Anyway thanks for these tactics m8
Thanks for your video, I hope to apply some of the tactics. on another note, may I ask what recording software are you using and headset. your video is very clear and great frame rate. do you record in hd?
Thank u so much for this amazing map tactics video Quickbaby! just a very quick question, when i was play Chinese medium tank, how could i hold the middle area and damage enemy? as u know the depression on Chinese Medium tank is quit bad :)
I request Erlenburg, its a tricky map, that tends to turn teams into lemming minded tankers at times. Also a side question I know you love your Comet, and I just free experienced my way to the Cromwell and grinded it quickly to get the Comet, yet I seem to have a bad problem with engine fires in it. Already it has caught fire more times than the grinding of the German heavy branch. So the question is did this ever happen to you alot in the Comet? where it lives up to its namesake and combusts.
Would be awesome if you could use more colours...Pink, sometimes red (which is pretty close to pink) makes it hard to follow where you're at. Maybe green, blue, red and so on. Looking at the vid, I noticed several instances where you used one colour for both teams at once...It became one big pink blur... Other then that, great job and thanks for putting in the hours of making it :-)
Oh, and next map - Siegfried Line definitely. That's a very confusing map for me. Standard and Encounter are bad enough, and Assault is a complete nightmare.
I'd like to see Pearl River, there are some tactics I use there, such as from "green" base holding the line in the north without crossing the river to create a bottleneck that work great, and require fewer tanks to hold, but so many people still try to dogfight in the narrow, hilly choke point in the middle of the pass, and it just becomes a complete fustercluck, but trying to get random people to listen is problematic at the best of times. If this something you do as well?
From your early aggressive light scouting locations, any advice on getting the hell out of their once spotted? Reversing back across the top feels wide open to the tds etc hiding near the enemy base.
04:41 no it will not keep you safe as you can't spot td or med from k-3 it might go some thing about view range but i got ponded by td and med's that i can't spot. Might be good spot if got good scout but you no chanse if you can't spot td or med's.
Pearl Harbour. New map, still not totally comfortable with the positions in the west for meds & lights & even TDs. East is pretty much a slugfest between heavies & maybe TDs.

Thanks QB for making these, much appreciated for you work. Do you still adhere to these recommendations considering the changes made to the maps?
These guides are really helpful. Thanks for making these.
you have improved so much since this video 7 years ago
I use my type 62 to stay as passive scout in B6. With max view range you can just spot the TD's in C2, and of course a lot of tanks in the middle rocks, at the airplanes and at the hangars. Ty QuickyBaby. Really appreciate the time you put into your video's.
Awesome, these vids are exactly what I've been needing. Thank you!

used some of your tactics on Redshire, worked as charm :) thanks again for your time making these.Fjords
Excellent series. Pls continue.

Great videos, I've watched all three . Thank you for all the tips. Please keep up the great job. I would like to see your ideas for Ensk

Maybe you want to tune into the ~20 of focused live game play I LiveStream each week on my twitch(dot)tv/quickybaby channel :)
i loved your work of art at 8:13 lmao GJ buddy.
idk why but i find these videos boring yet i know i should watch them because they enlighten me and allow we to see my mistakes. Therefore tremendously increase my effectiveness. Thank you Quicky Baby

19:30 QB draws a fat Santa :)
Thanks for your time Quicky, enjoy your vids
LOL you drew Buu at 19:43
This is an extremely good analysis
Interesting approach. HistoryGuru largely wrote off the J line as too dangerous from any direction. He felt the map would be won at E5 and E6 and that the J line was a bit of a trap because of the kill zones at either end. But I guess I can see its merits for green base.
Artillery tactics for every map:
Sit in base, open bag of doritos, decide whose day you want to ruin.
Click left-mouse-button.
3:00 "Heavy Tank" he said :D
And the T71 light tank pops up :O haha
hey QB, any chance that you could update your map guides?! it's really helpful for noobs like me. :)
She says it is perfectly normal at my stage of life to be drawing angry pears for men on the internet.
Throughout my childhood, pears have been the brothers and sisters to me that I never had.
I was able to try the southerly attack in my King tiger. I made the mistake of stopping by the rock outcrop. I had no support but I was able to hold the flank for a while and iwas able to get several good shots off. Thanks for the tips. Keep them coming!
Good series. How about doing a map tactics on Karelia? And maybe some pointers on defensive positions around the flags.
Great tactics video!
El Halluf gets my vote.
Really enjoyed the video, learnt a lot, one question though, how do you get to use a map solo like you did with your T71?
QB, thank you for the effort to create this vid. Just excellent.
Fjords plz.Never know what to do on that map.
Great vid!
Like the series, keep up the good work!
Thanks QB, Im sure it takes a bit of time and effort to make these map strategy videos.

Thanks QuickyBaby, I now dominate most games I play in Airfield with my WZ 131 >:D Liked and Subscribed, keep up these videos!
19:45 nice elephant:D

South Coast next please!
And thanks a lot for the series.
Gotta get the cliffs in the middle, just south of the airfield proper... high ground, multiple routes.. etc
This is awesome, thank you for doing this man. keep it up!
Appreciate those clips, grand!
These are really great, and I thank you for doing them. They are very helpful for noobs. Like me.
Well presented & informative. Good job.

awesome stuff QB, please make video for el halluf and mountain pass
amazing video man, it really helped me a lot.
QuickyBaby, congrats on your upcoming nuptials. Could you do a review of the new map for 9.3 since the "forest" has been changed?
Hi QuickyBaby, first of all you made awesome videos that helped me a lot in the WOT fights. I would really appreciate if you could spend some time and make a map strategy video about "Cliff". Lovin these vids - thank you - Port next please!
Awesome vids!
I've always had a problem with Ensk and Port. Would love to see some thoughts on those :)

Great video QB. thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill +1

Thanks QB. My clan is in a 5V5 blitz tomorrow and this will help.
great vids keep em coming
Also at a0 is a good spot if yur a fast sniper you can get good shots without getting spotted,,
You never mentioned the plateau's on E5 and E7,
With a slight faster tank ~ 30-35 km/h you can do a lot of defending and helping the middle.
Thanks for Map Tactics! How about Sacred Valley?
Great job! Very helpfull. My request: Pearl river.
(New map, don't know how to play it.)
Oh, and next map - Siegfried Line definitely. That's a very confusing map for me. Standard and Encounter are bad enough, and Assault is a complete nightmare.

hej quicky ... thx a lot for these awesome vids ... i like to see el halluf or port.

8:20 - suddenly a wild cawk appears!
have you ever considered trying to make a map tactics video with actual replays? could be interesting
Port or Fjords. Nice input, thx
