"What are they doing at TNA?"
    Al: "Same thing"
I love Al Snow's flat out honesty about the wrestling business. He doesn't play politics in talking about it, and he brings it to raw simple principles with his dry sense of humor that I love...

Al is the man. The guy can do anything in this business. He's a great agent, a great booker, and a GROSSLY underestimated worker himself. I've NEVER bought any of the vids in this series, but I'm seriously considering this one.

al snow and john coachman should've been the new raw broadcast team after wrestlemania 18 (2002) when they shifted from the wwf attitude era into the wwe era. new breed of superstars (cena, orton, lesnar, batista), new commentators calling the matches. coachman who went to broadcasting school, al snow a former athlete of the sport he now would commentate. just like all the other sports.

@IDante1Savage What Al meant was that when a talent got to a certain level back in the territory days, he moved onto another territory so fans wouldn't get sick of seeing him. Nowadays, with WWE being the only major game in town, the same people are always on top.

people always knew it was fake, even in the 90s, were it was huge, people knew it was fake, but the actors at play made you love it, the angles were not childish and funny, not like today where " I SIGN AUTOGRAPHS AND I SEE THEM BEEN SOLD ON EBAY! ", i remember Triple H saying, a long ass time i go " people will bring chair with my blood, for me to sign and then sell it on Ebay ", he was cool with it lol.

All you have to do to book is put everybody in catagories like WCW had in the 90s and it pretty much writes its self. The catagories are WCW World Title contenders. US Title contenders. Tag Team Title contenders. TV Title contenders. Cruiserweight Title contenders. Then put together the rest of the pieces without a Title shot or number one contenders match. Its not hard the corner pieces are there just have to know what your doing. Its called strategy!

Every ROHbot needs to order this dvd and learn what pro wrestling is really about.
It's not about having a great match, wrestling is a business. It's about selling tickets. ROH always claims to have great matches, but they are only 200-600 people in the audience and no one knows what ROH is.

My theory on wrestling is only the matches are staged to a certain degree. But a pro wrestler and all that's required is still very real.
I know I'll never get to the standard the lads and lasses do on WWE/TNA and so on. But that will not stop me doing what I love doing.
I wish there were more wrestling fans like yourself sir.

There will never be another Rock, Hogan, Austin you name it, no one will ever replace them. Those guys are legends in their own right. Idk about some ppl on here, but for me, i am NOT a MARK. Sure you can take big bumps outside and get hurt (you're landing on concrete) Not to cut Ric Flair down by any means, but his bumps are terrible. When you see him take a back body drop, he's ALWAYS landing on his side which explains why he has so many back problems

Hogan was the first big 'hook' character IMO. His personoa reeled in attention. From there many fans found they liked other wrestlers more. But most wrestling companies need such a character. There won't be another Rock and Austin etc.
But there will be their place to fill.
Mark? You don't mean our Mark do you?
Yeah, Flair was a gluten for taking backdrops and top rope slams.

@stufaman exactly. Ever since I trained for pro wrestling on the indy scene (which by the way I nvr made it but that's way beside the point) i KIND OF not completly but KIND OF understand why they call it "Tough Enough". They don't call it that cause they wanna see who can endure the quote unquote "Pain and endurance, struggle, sacrifice etc" its more from a mentality standpoint instead of physical. IN MY OPINION (with all due respect) it's tough because 80% of wrestling is physics

@86Stooy I find it pathetic that wrestlers hate that. We know it's fake. We know what bumping and selling is. I've trained for pro wrestling, I know how it is. I know the secrets to the basic moves like a suplex. When you give a guy a suplex you don't ACTUALLY lift the guy over your head by urself cause it's physically impossible. Instead what you do is have the guy your giving the move to, have him do a handstand. In other words all he has to do is jump up and kick his feet up. LOL

It is indeed sir. The way I see it. You are a pro wrestler. I wrestle a bit myself. If we were to ever be in a match and you over shadow me in every attribute. Then the match should be ran accordingly.
I can accept my place in it all and I know I will job to people clearly better than me. But many fans believe they are entitled to be THE ROCK if they get into a wrestling company.

This video is hilarious. Al Snow was a career midcarder, yet he keeps talking how he knows about how he knows what makes a good match & how to give the fans what they want. If he was truly as smart as he thinks he is on these subjects, don't you think that he would have been much more successful than what he was? Surely if he was selling tickets, Vince wouldn't have ignored that (after all it would be making him money) & gave him a push. I know I'll be flamed... but I am just stating the truth.

As far as attitude vs pg here's my thoughts...wrestling is a recycling process...Some might hate the PG era but me growing up watch Hogan/Savage/Warrior/Beefcake that was PG style too...I think wrestling gave us PG wrestling, then we as older fans moved on to more hardcore style (ECW) and wrestling followed..Now its back to PG for the younger fans and eventually it might change back to rougher style when those fans get older..I'm not mad at all, I got 20+ years of entertainment.

@bkohler89 I find there's a lot of psychology in wrestling. Yes I see 'tough enough' as how much can we put these through to want it.
Fortunately, a lot of people are once again fed up of the distinct paths WWE and TNA takes. So I think sooner or later an indy company will come up with a new method of wrestling entertainment that WWE will have no choice but to either include (or rip off) or tackle.
If I ever got anywhere with wrestling, I'd be tempted to go to Japan rather than the US.

@IDante1Savage top talent being on top is fine worked up to the late 80's with long world title reigns. unforturnely doesn't work the same way for today. what he means like back in the territory days the top guy would move on to another territory after doing everything in the territory. or top guys would move down to mid card level to build a mid card into a new top guy. it's all about building doesn't have anything to with death to all top stars.

He's a producer, not a booker. He doesn't have the final say in what happens in TNA. It's Vince, Hogan, and Bischoff who are the main bookers in the company. If anyone is to blame for the decline in the story it's those 3. They have great talent, but they've all ended up in god awful story lines.

@jb0609 It doesn't matter if its a good match or a bad match at the end of the day as long as it draws money that is that matters. The true art of pro wrestling anyway is popping the crowd not being a technical catch as catch can pro wrestler.
Without storylines & promos pro wrestling would not exist, ever hear the term "talk them into the seats" you would simply have Wrestler A vs. Wrestler B & nobody would pay to see that.
