Playing Yellow Palp I honestly think one of the most slept on cards vs aggro is Discerning Veteran. Outside of the ECL-turn, Sabine has no immediate answer to the Veteran. It has 4 toughness so doesnt die to most of their units. It can stabilize vs a K2SO. It can capture Poe and Wrecker. They have no removal for it and no ambush. It does what we need it to. Captures and leaves a sizeable butt for them to remove.
Yeah after the initial ECL has been used, I definitely think that it could be a useful strategy to slow them down. Good call. I need to test that out myself
Im mostly bouncing between quinlan TT and Bossk ECL. There are some other decks that tempt me, like Han green and Emperor Palpatine Yellow, but dont really feel confident in either the deck or my ability to pilot it.
@@Krullenkoning nice ! Yeah go with what you feel most confident and comfortable with. And just test those two out against what you expect to see and see which one gives you a better shot at winning
I'm glad that youre realistic about Jango Red. It is a good deck but it was kind of the Plan B for the Boba ban. It got some unique quirks into the meta but I would not say I am worried when I go into a Jango Red matchup now. I know how to beat it.
I might just be insane, but personally, I've found that playing against yourself (as in you play both decks at once, on something like karabast) is actually way better than fighting randoms or AI. I had to start doing this because the deck I play is extremely unique and is hard to play, and I dont think anyone else has played it as much as me, so i wanted to play against it but couldn't find anyone who could use it well enough, but the more I played against myself the more I realized that its just way better. Maybe I'm just crazy but, if you guys don't have anyone to test decks with, or have some downtime, I would try it out :)
@@OsmiumBlaze no absolutely that’s a great way to test. I have done that before in other games. It really helps you understand the matchups better, and knowing the ins and outs of both sides
I’m telling my brother to take obi wan green (because he has a showcase) and I think it’s decent into the tarkintown meta right now. I think Han yellow will shock some people with how good it is into these meta decks
Yeah that is definitely one way to deal with that matchup. Or just mainboard 2 of them, and atleast 1 copy of Palpatine's return if you expect to see a lot of that matchup
@@mariotee10 I would attempt to push damage first, using Vader to fill the board back up to keep the pressure on, and use Relentless to block their ability to do much about it. Than just continuing to palpatine's return/Relentless. Milling them out would be a back up win con for me, but I would definitely play 3 Vigilance/1 -2x restock if that's a route you want to focus on more of, and possibly even a Bounty Hunter Crew in the sideboard.
@ awesome. thanks for the advice! i think i will try some variations out. i guess Relentless and Avenger do the same damage anyway. but i feel like having 2 of each might be clunky.. i’ll test and see though. Avenger may not be as impactful nowadays
@@mariotee10 Absolutely. I would just test that matchup out a ton hopefully against real people. Pace yourself and don't over commit to your board so you can fill up the board again with your cheaper units in your hand, that way you don't have to always rely on Vader to do so. Bringing Yoda Blue to all of my events for sure. I have a good matchup against aggro and I’m going for the mill strat against Bossk with main-decked Restock. I have not been able to test against Anakin Blue that much so I’ll just hope I either don’t see it or I have the right amount of cards for it 🤷
Awesome !! I would still test against it on "Forcetable" even if you don't have a chance to test against real people before the event. Just to have familiarity with cards your going to see and potential lines of play. Best of luck brother !
Thinking of taking Ani Blue or Jango TTown. Any suggestions? I am very comfortable with both. I also really love Yoda Blue but I feel like it struggles into some common matchups
I would test them both out against the decks that you are expecting to see as much as you can and of the two go with the one that gives you the better chance to win. Also, consider which one you believe to have the bigger target on it's back, and how comfortable you are with the "Mirror Matches" of each of these decks. Anakin and the restore gives you a little more wiggle room for misplays, and has more hand disruption for control. However, Anakin can still get run over by aggro decks. Jango TT is going to struggle more against hard control, but can be very fast. Again, I think just test test test, and go with the deck that you feel most comfortable with, and are going to be the most relaxed and have fun with so you are less likely to make mental mistakes.
@ thank you!! Yeah that is my biggest issue with Jango. I think a majority of players will play it because it is more budget friendly and aggro is just more popular. I think my biggest issue is Bossk Blue getting into my head lol
@@Wosho1982 yeah. 54 is fine in a control deck IMO. In Magic for example one of the best control decks when I was playing was 80 cards, and normal decks were 60 cards. Consistency issues become more of an issue past 55 cards. chancellor palpatine is the only leader where you can push that a little more because you draw so much.

That's cool! Definitely an interesting choice. Han Yellow is amazing. It's just tough to play. I hope it sees a decent amount of play though.

Kuiil, Yoda, Ki-Adi Mundi, Obi-Wan and Tech as a way to pull cards out of your resources should all help
