The further back you go, the purer the design will be. For example, take the plastic Eames shell chairs they started making in awful plastic vs the originals in fiberglass. They did start making them out of like recycled fiberglass at least. Even copies of many pieces are made to almost the exact specifications for a fraction of the cost. Why buy the originals for thousands of dollars more when you can buy copies (Not referring specifically to these presented in this video.) for very little? All depends on how well they were copied, obviously.
