- Residents of Indonesia's South Kalimantan traditionally live along rivers, using its waters for cooking, cleaning and bathing. But thousands of "floating toilets" - makeshift latrines on stilts built above the river - are polluting the river with human waste. Thailand is the same. Coating cities at the riverbanks with restaurants sell fish and shrimp from the river, sells teas 🍵 , wash dishes, toilet 🚽 dumping into the river... And people that lives there take a bath, give bath to their babies with the water from the river ........

Nothing you eat someone's or something feces all the time. Its part of natural biological cycle.

South kalimantan in river bank is swamp area its imposible to make underground septictank cause always flooding when water level is up

Muka air tanah di Kalimantan yg mayoritasnya rawa atau lahan gambut itu sangat dangkal. Jadi kalau dibikin WC dg septic tank independent seperti rumah rumah di Jawa, ntar ada potensi banjir, septictank meluap. Nggak sesimpel itu, kalau mau mjngkin bisa bikin STP dan WWTP terpusat, semua rumah kotorannya ngalir ke satu tempat, tapi biayanya mahal banget sih.

The big clean-up can be done.
It always begins with a strong political will at the highest level. Then only will the entire government machinery (Central, Provinsi, lokal) be mobilized backed by budget, expertise, manpower, equipment and headed by a Supremo that reports directly to Jokowi. Set a realistic timeframe. Be very practical and sensible during implementation. Always begin with a pilot project first and learn everything from it. Then launch the big one in stages.
