- We we SO excited to share our news with our family! It was super hard keeping it a secret 😅.
We also had our first baby appointment. The ultrasound was such a great memory, and hearing the heartbeat for the first time was so so sweet!

It was so fun to see Lydia’s family!
But it was also their first time to unexpectedly hear they are going to be grandparents....so I think that might also have played into that. She did say they would be happy but quiet about it.

To me it seemed like the message on the cake was hard to read.
They had a very German response! Very sweet.
That was one of the BEST birth announcements I’ve seen. Such clever ideas… especially having Kelton open the gift :) priceless!! Love Josie .. it’s not us!!! 🤣🤣🤣!! Soooo excited for you all!! Can’t wait for gender reveal!!

I've never seen anyone with gold colored eyes before. When the sun shines on Lydia's eyes they look like gold! That is super rare and special.❤️
I have to smile because I also have Gold eyes. My husband refers to me as his Golden Girl. I think this is such a lovely couple. So happy for them!
I know we are seeing this weeks late from real time!! So you guys already know boy or girl. So excited for you both. Y'all are going to make great parents and this baby is blessed to be born into two lovely families. That is amazing in this day and time. Two Christian families!! Why is everyone do surprised..there the Bates
So happy for you guys your going to be great parents. I had a son 41 years ago on September 27th a precious boy 9lbs 9 1/2 Oz. Now I'm a grandma and a great grandma 👵 living my best life. Looking forward to your gender reveal 🙏🏼
I think this was my due date 25 years ago and he came Oct 4th and was 9 pounds! I think boy 💙
My son was due September 26 and born 9/27/91

I watched several of your videos and Lydia has so much elegance and class. She is the type of person you just can't take your eyes off of. She is a natural beauty and will be an excellent mother. A great grandma name is honey that's what my grandkids call me. I thought they would stop as that got older. My oldest are in their 20s and still call me Honey. Lol, I wanted Carlin to have her baby on my birthday, March 27, and she did. My husband's birthday is September 27. I am so happy for you both. What a blessing for y'all ❤️

I knew it when I was watching her during Mom and Dad Bates Q&A. Lydia looked like she was so sick. I was wondering how long she could keep listening because it went on and on. 😂
I have to agree with you, Jill! I knew when I was watching Kelly and Gil tell their story that Lydia was pregnant. She looked so pale and unwell. I thought This could be the flu, but I bet it’s another Baby Bates!

I thought the same thing!! she was thinking "no way I can do this 18 more times" haha. so sweet.
Lydia if you see this keep Cheerios at you bed. Before you even raise your head in the mornings, eat a handful or two of dry Cheerios. And then continue laying for about 10-15 mins. Let them absorb the stomach acids. That helps also with morning sickness. Also ask for nausea meds the 1st appt. Some doctor will call it in before even seeing you.
Another thing, with prenatal ask about getting the ones with a built in stool softener. Or atleast ask which ones you can take. Take them with every prenatal vitamin. You will thank me later.
And last but certainly not least. If the prenatals don’t agree with your system, ask about taking kids vitamins. My doctor allowed to me take on in the AM and one in PM. That helped me so much.
These was just things the doctors told me and they helped tremendously

Yes a big brother to protect his siblings is awesome. But, a girl first is awesome too. They are the mimi mom/helper and eventually the babysitter for date nights! But no matter what it will be so special. I have both and theirs such a gift💗💙 congratulations and can't wait!

A healthy baby is all you really need. Your baby is going to be very lucky to be born into such a loving family. Loved your mums reaction Lydia as for your Dad I doubt you will find a photo of him not smiling.
