Thank you SO much Rachel. I have done this with paper and is works so well.It didnot cross my mind to use fabric now for this book!! Thank you for showing us how to do the double page pages for our stitch book. I have found an old book with a 3inch spine , cut my lengths of fabric and folded them so am ready to move on, now i feel more confident about my book. I dont work very well with that side of the brain!!! Many years ago i joined, TAST, Take A Stitch on Tuesday, and made about 12 mandalas on fabric each using a different embroidery stitch to decorate. I just kept them in a box all this time but NOW i can use them in my book with all the new stitchery we are doing here, so a double sided page will work well and they will have found a special place to be displayed, thanks to you. XX
Thanks for showing us how to do this. When you said 'little miss wing it' I nearly spat my coffee, lol, you crack me up. Thanks for double videoing this process, much appreciated.
Thank you for such a clear video about the accordion pages. This is the style that I would like to use. I appreciate all your work on these videos. This is such an enjoyable project !
I am glad you shared this with us as I had no idea how to do it. I have sample pages of all my Bernina embroidery stitches and I could use this method to save them too.
Hi Rachel! Great video, great creating, & great links in the description box too! Good job on teaching us how to use this accordion style method for our book pages! It seems a little "tricky" to do. I don't have to decide how to do mine just yet. I will just take a "little think" on it for a while before choosing. Thank you Rachel for taking the time from your busy schedule to complete this project with all of us! I think that we are all really enjoying this stitching project very much! We probably couldn't do it without your help! You are really appreciated Rachel! We do love ya! Happy Creating! Samantha P.S. Now I'm off to watch your "EP 13, Part 2" & this week of Sarah's videos?
I just found this video and it is perfect for the vintage linen and lace project I have been planning. I know enough now to begin my project! Cannot wait to see how to attach the pages to the spine…I want to do some double page spreads and need to contemplate the attachment process a bit. Thank you SO much for demonstrating your process. Greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to using this technique with my pieces. Thank you for such a detailed video, right down to the pressing of the accordian backing. I had seen the one where you put in the blocks others had done for you on a challenge, but this video I liked even better, as I don't want to have to add fabrics along the edge, but want a nice "fit." Great instructions! Thanks so much. TOTALLY enjoying the slow stitching tutorials/challenge!
I can’t thank you enough. This is exactly what I was asking. Please post this separately like you mentioned as that would be wonderful. Your book is going to be amazing! I greatly appreciate it.
I love this it’s such a cool way to display our pages ☺️ thank you so much for redoing the video…Isn’t it a Noooo moment when you realise you’ve been chatting away to your self for half an hour !!
“Little Miss Wing It” 🤣😂 I love it! I’m exactly the same way that’s why I love your videos so much!! Thanks for showing this technique, I like that you can just keep adding to it because I’m really enjoying this project. It’s so portable. I’m planning to visit my Mom soon and I like that I can take this with me that way I won’t miss a thing!
Hi Rachel! Great tutorial. When you talked about it with your blocks before I couldn't visualize it all bound. I get it now. Thanks 😊 I may wait to decide closer to the end of my project.
I have already got my pages ready but now I’m thinking I might go back and do this method. I think this will look a lot neater in the end. Thank you for the tutorial. 🧵🪡 Linda
Thank you Rachel, I will be doing your accordion style and will have to make my own cover as what I originally started with kind of grow now I don’t think l’ll have to make my cover , I think I’ll be able to follow this very well as you have done a wonderful video thank you so much.😊🦋💕🐝💜🇦🇺
Vicki Lauritsen & Rachel, Easy? I think that Rachel has this way of making things seem easy, but they are REALLY a little tricky! It can certainly be done, with some good old focus, patience, precision & some old fashioned good luck! Good luck with lining yours all up! I'm sure that I will need it! lol. Happy Stitching & Happy Creating!
Oh Rachel! So sorry you had technical difficulties. I think that would ruin my whole day! So I’m glad to see that you’re back, just as chipper as ever! I’m still struggling to learn the new stitches. I have had to start over several times when I’ve just done a terribly blodgy (or blodgie?!) job. I look forward to being able to graduate to the actual monthly blocks, I think I will have more fun then! Thanks so much for taking your time & showing just a portion of the process each time! I’m pretty overwhelmed & trying not to feel dejected about my progress. How difficult can it be to make a row of stitches?! Haha! Stay healthy & see you next time!
I remember you saying accordian before but I wasn't interested till now! I needed the visual and I'm thinking this will be better for me, thank you for showing us early on😊❤❤
Very helpful!!! Thank you. I am incorporating larger pieces I have previously stitiched in my fabric book. Two are large older cross stitch pieces, so i am planning to "fold" them over my page edges to get some on two page layouts without cutting through the stitching. I think your format would work well for me.
I really like this idea of adding pages. But had to laugh. Nothing I'm doing it straight. My mom was a perfectionist and it's always been hard for me. But at my age I just enjoy the process and am embracing the straitish lol
Awesome, thank you 😊. For a future fabric book I think I want to try using a double page spread and sewing them in as individual signatures so I can see the back of my pages. Does that make sense? I love seeing the work on the back❤️
This is cool! I'm still deciding whether I want to do the accordian style or not. I will probably wait and see how Sarah is doing hers and then decide. It looks as if the pages are already "finished" on the right edge with the accordian fold? I'm leaning to this method at the moment. Something new for me as well.
Thank you! I thought i’d missed this tutorial or misunderstood, yet again. Talk about a ‘bodgie crafter’! You have a squadron of us on the sidelines. 😁
So sorry you had the recording mishap; how annoying! I knew I should have waited to see how you did the pages and I considered doing accordion style after watching how you did the blocks from your slow stitch exchange, as I adored how you framed those. I might have to redo my pages!
We were with you in spirit with the first video 😉
Thanks so much! 😊

Never saw an accordion pages done with fabric before, real cool. Thanks for sharing.

I agree! Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing this way of doing it. I've never thought of doing an accordion style before. Thanks, as always! xo
Thank you! 😊
I love this way of adding pages. Love the fabric you are using. Gonna be a beautiful book when you are finished with all your stitched pages. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
Wow looking good! It is exciting to see it come together! TFS ❤️
Thank you! 🤗
Thank you for showing this. I had a cloth book in mind for using but I love this idea so much better. Thanks again.

Love that ripping sound. And love this design for a book, this would be be good for paper too for calligraphy too!.
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for this separate video for making our book. Great instructions that are easy to follow.

Hi Rachel, Is there a video about making a book of the spine etc.
Yes I completed the whole book. You can search in RJOS vol 1 playlist. I think it will onde of the last videos I did in that series.

I'm wondering. Could I leave one side open to make a pocket?
You could leave the top open between the 2 pages or stitch you piece on 3 sides only. Great idea!
So sorry you had the recording mishap; how annoying! I knew I should have waited to see how you did the pages and I considered doing accordion style after watching how you did the blocks from your slow stitch exchange, as I adored how you framed those. I might have to redo my pages!
You can always use the pages you prepared at a later date. You could just decide later as it doesn't change how you do your blocks. Thank you so much!
I understand the accordion fold. I don't understand how you will be able to open the accordion up so you can see all your pages in a row.
They will be stitched together top and bottom so they will becomes single pages.
Is there a link to Sarah's videos?
We have a playlist with all of the videos. I have linked everything in the description box.
@@roxycreations679 Rachel, Thank you so much for doing that !
