I'm afraid your puzzle must be bent. The space in the Hanayama piece is not wide enough to let the Ripple piece out like that, only the gold piece. The solution is much more difficult than this. See other videos for correct solution.
Appreciate the comment. I tried to bend them with no success. The pieces have a tiny amount of space to move through, so although it looks easy in the video, it took lots of time to get the feel for how the rings flow through each other. This is a solution...one of many I am sure. Although one thing I DID notice, was the Hanayama stamp in the front. The fix here would be to put the Ripple and Gold pieces together, then push the Hanayama piece through the Ripple piece, then gold piece. Then align the pieces.
For sure this puzzle is not in right condition. Even when assembled, it's not tight in a video. Normally, you can place this puzzle on a desk and it stays without falling apart. Gap in "wider gap piece" should be enough just to go through gold piece, and not through other silver one as well.
