This and Outlast made me realize that although momma ain't raise no b!tch, she also didn't raise a fool. Games like these make me feel like every scare shaves off another 1-2 years from my life, like each time the alien pops out my heart is rolling the dice.
Seeing the area in 2:11 made me think about one horror element that this game never touched on, and that was the horror that even children were on Sevastopol. Something that even the game series that was heavily inspired by the ALIEN franchise; DEAD SPACE, did in fact used on its own stories. Xenomorphs are supposed to be terrifying, a horror as this game puts them to be, much like on the first ALIEN movie. The area on the game was supposed to give a bit of shock factor that I think missed the point a bit, but it still makes you think about the horror of it.
Yeah. There's always something about areas like this in horror games that make you think, “Oh. Right. There were kids here. And I get the distinct feeling that the red stain on the carpet there isn’t spilled juice.” I’m glad it doesn't show any kids, but it doesn't need to. Dead Space 2 was a different game, much more overt about its horror; this is more subtle. (No hate for Dead Space from me; I think it's a good horror game in its way).
Yeah, the idea that one or multiple xenomorphs can walk freely into kindergarten or a nursery it's a freaking nightmare. I'm shaking right now from the pain and anger of this idea. In that situation, would I be brave enough to jump at the alien in order to save the kids? Or I would just be freezed by fear? I won't answer this question. 😔
@@danielefabbro822 That is an age old question; what do you in such a situation? Tap in your rage based on the horror of children being hurt or taken by the creature(s) or would your survival instincts take over for self preservation? It's a scary thought.

Lol.
especially when that amazing fucker climbs into vent with you. that's one of most uncomfortable and scary moments in gaming ever and that's why i love this game so much
This is so stressful to watch, i can't even imagine about playing it. Fortunatly the game is kind enough to make a noisy xeno, other wise you would just die every 5 meter because it ambushed you or approached unnoticed like in the movies.
@@thenightfox8497 well that's sort of the whole point of ninjas right? Learning to control the muscles enough to where you can essentially control the force of weight that's applied while moving, plus since this takes place in a space station, you're going to hear the ventilation, fans and other random noises all around you And no I'm not saying aliens are ninjas lol, but I am saying they're born to hunt, literally their only reason for living, so I'm sure they would pick up on how to move silently
I think I would had preferred that instead of stomping, there would had been slithering, and nails scraping on the metal floors along with its tail making sounds. Indeed the creature is big but it is supposed to be silent, though not that silent, like in the first ALIEN movie. I think that one thing you could be grateful is that the Alien never is seen pursuing anyone by sticking to the walls and ceilings as it should be able to do. I think there is only one cut scene where it shows up and grabs a person and climbs down with it sticking to the walls and crawls into a vent. But that's it, could you imagine playing against that function? No stairs no nothing could protect you at all.
Something like to happened to me too while playing the story: I had just entered a room and was looking for supplies. I turn around and suddenly the alien drops from a vent a few inches from my face. Good thing that I had the flamethrower, but that was the biggest scare I ever had in any videogame.
Managed to beat the game on nightmare+the mod, the part near the end of the game was propably the worst, the alien was there non stop in the vents/ small corridors without anywhere to hide.
"Aggressive Alien Mod"... Because the original xenomorphs was too civilized. They just attacked you on sight. We need something more aggressive. Now Xenomorphs that will see you will sit and summon a xenomorph demon to hunt you back and drag you into xenomorph hell.
The only fear i have in this game is that one moment when the Xenomorph literally drops down on you. Never happened to me, luckily, but I'm still super scared for it.
