- Celebrated alumnus Stewart Goodyear presents a pop-up concert in front of The Royal Conservatory on July 24. The event was part of Play Me, I'm Yours, an initiative that brought 41 pianos to locations across Toronto. Stewart is playing Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 23 in F Minor, Op. 57.

Among the younger generations of current pianists, Stewart Goodyear received my vote as the greatest artist and virtuoso in the Beethoven repertoire. What an incredible and driven Op. 57 final movement we hear in this performance. Bravo!

You need good sound to really appreciate it.
There is a little bit of talk but it stops after giving context.
This is an incredible display of "Mastery" and I think the setting
magnifies the effect. The setting is so different from the one that usually accompanies
this level of performance and it somehow helps the physical performance to be
more visible.
In the end you can really see his hands. Awesome.
Think about sharing the link as a way to help promote music.
To think that so many cities could adopt this great idea.

was it a good piano just made to look a bit beat-up? / a very well tuned beat-up piano? / a beat up piano with a superb pianist proving that the state of the piano doesn't matter. ? :)
