Nice performing bow for the price point! Keskin has been building bows for awhile, I have heard good things from this bowyer. Can't wait to see your opinion on his tartar style bow! Great review as always my friend!
As someone who almost exclusively used a sling for target practice, I'd like to say thankyou for your good videos which have made me dig out my horsebow from the wardrobe. The bug has bitten hard, and now I'm running back and forth with three arrows (one missing a fletching) like a fool, enjoying myself enormously. Slinging practice can get stressful, but instinctively shooting a bow is very soothing. Then when you hit the tennis ball at 30m...so satisfying.
Finally! Luv my Keskin Tunç Ay bow. Solid and nice build, usually the poundage is written on it. Şevhat Yay is also producing laminated bows. Thanks for the review Armin!
@@ArminHirmer There are several Turkish bowbuilders that make laminated bows; like Okçubaba, Şavhat or Safra. Keskin is the most popular among them, but the other ones are used in tournaments as well.
Tuncay is a Turkish male name. Tunç means bronze. Ay means moon. Keskin means sharp and is also used as a surname and city/village. Thanks for another great video Armin.
Oh man that's a beautiful bow. Price with shipping at least to me for this would make the bow basically 300$ and I think that would be a fair price by the looks of the bow and by what's shown in your review. Which great review as always. Seems like a great bow, seems like it would be very likeable. Might have to bookmark that etsy page for a future visit. lol.
Oh that little bugger!!! I like this shooter so much. Grrrr, see now I have to go to birthday party and this just made me want to stay home and shoot! Nice shooting Armin.
Hahaha, let me show you it’s features… That was a good one. You know what Joergs audience likes to hear. The bow seems really nice. At least in the hands of an expert like yourself
The link you provided to purchase this bow shows a different looking bow to the one you are holding. I like the colour and the design of the bow you have, any idea why it looks different?
NOGAY from the same company bow is tartar design (Manufacturer says)no handshake, 200fps spec. I'm contemplating between the two bows. What do you think? and is this bow also considering a review?
???- Just wondering if an old bow, low poundage slight reflex(?), would be safe to use? (Granted you can't see it, of course) I have my Dad's old wood laminate and fiberglass bow. He used it for quail, I believe. I used to shoot it in the yard as a kid. It's been sitting unused for 35+ years. Obviously needs a new string. I'd like to use it and maybe even see if I could get my wife interested in shooting together. Any tips on what to look for to see if it's usable? I'd hate to just throw a string on it and break it if I can avoid it. Thank you very much!
Hi Armin, would you recommend finger/thumb protection? As i understand, you shoot without any. I heard some horror stories about nerve damages in the finger tips...
Hey! I'd like to make a question, especially for what concern the oneida bow: I saw you shot right handed but place the arrow on the right side so, have you got a left handed bow or it is made exactly for this purpose? and why did you make this choice instead of placing the arrow as usual. what benefit do you have? Thanks and great video!
Hello Armin. I just discovered your channel and subscribed. I am really interested in getting into archery. Do you have a recommendation for a good shortbow to start with?
I am new to your channel, and am currently going through all of your videos. I really appreciate how you break down every aspect of each bow! I currently shoot with a compound bow and want to start working with one of these more traditional bows... So far I am gravitating towards the Laminated Turkish bow you reviewed by Grozer... Do you think that is a good entry point for me? Thanks!
Hay Ermin sorry to mention, but your last archary video has no sound, I thought it was my computer tablet but all the rest of your videos have sound not the last one please can you edit it with some sound so we can hear you
I am seeing those "string pads" on some Turkish bows. Are they historically correct? I know they didn't claimed that the bow is historically correct but I just want to learn about that.
Fellow archers, wanted to ask something related to simsek. I recently bought the junior sipahi for my girl (after some management problems from simsek I finally received it) We have been using the bow and on the third day there have been some kinds of cracks both in the front and back... I have looked for information and it seems that there are more people with the same problems It's a shame because the bow is nice and works well, but this kind of thing makes you feel bad about the bow when you go to practice... And more than one company that is given such a good image and that sells its bows as practically indestructible Has anyone else had this kind of problem?
That's my bow! Take away the string bridges and the decorative print and that is the Deerseeker Turkish bow i bought on eBay. Same exact whipping, same overlays on the siyah ends, same yellow wood on the limbs with white inlays around the handle. Great bow, really is!
@@ArminHirmer I know my bow is a Deerseeker but I don't believe it really is. No branding whatsoever and the bow that I received looks nothing like the pictures on the listing that I bought it from. Really, I have an anomaly of a Turkish bow and I swear, it's the same construction, materials and fabrication methods.
really nice bow.. If practice a little, I think it will be a really fun bow shooting! By the way, it's been a while since I saw the package score of 10 points. haha
@@ArminHirmer I think they know your preferences by now, so they can prepare the package well ;) The standard order includes the bow, string, sleeve and the yellow guarantee card.

It's impossible for me to scroll over a video of yours that includes an Ottoman Bow. Impossible. Well done as always, sir 🤟
Very convincing! It has just stroked my mind, that I don’t have a laminated Turkish bow 🤪
Thank you so much for the nice video, dear Armin! ☺️🏹🔆

sounds great

Beautiful Ottoman bow. Hey Armin nice shooting To the bamboo cross I knew you'd make it. Awesome 👊😁
hahaha I was not that sure :D
The sleeve is truly beautiful
Really adds a premium feeling
Unfortunately it's not standard. But the standard sleeve from them is also nice.
Very detailed, thorough and professional, great video
It is absolutely beautiful! I need this bow! 🔥

Great video Harmin! As always. You should make a video on the SAMICK SKB horsebow, it is famous for its value for money

Hello, how is this spring? Is it sturdy? What are the chances of it breaking? is it taken?
Great video Armin... I really like your videos. Bronz Moon - Sharp Bow.
Hi! I'd like to ask, how does it compare to Nawalny's Turkish bows? Wanted to buy one, but this review got me thinking again. 🙂
Beautiful bor and like the decorations . Nice performance. Looks like it would be worth the money

I love your videos. Thank you.
I really want to learn shooting a bow but don't know where to start or what to buy as complete beginner.
I'd get a fibreglass Turkish bow from Alibow. Anything fibreglass to save u money and they perform quite well
NOGAY from the same company bow is tartar design (Manufacturer says)no handshake, 200fps spec.

For now I would stick with the Tunc Ay

Take it to a bowyer/archery shop to get a professional look at it. They will tell you if it's shootable or not😉
@@lulustocke8251 Thanks! I agree. We've got a general 'outdoors' store. Hopefully they'll have someone competent to look at it. 👍
New too your channel, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with me Arrrrr
Hi Armin,
Where can get Keskin laminated bows? were in Turkey or online.
Hi Armin, would you recommend finger/thumb protection? As i understand, you shoot without any. I heard some horror stories about nerve damages in the finger tips...
I like to have a little callus there but of course you start with low poundage bows. But at the end you might want to use protection
@@ArminHirmer Thank you :) Gonna make something out of leather then.
I have one. Nice bow, even if I usually don't like laminated bows. But the really should offer additional leather wrapping for the handle.

Exactly for that purpose to shoot with thumb draw. All the benefits of thumb draw
@@ArminHirmer so you bought a left handed bow and asked to make it thumb usable?
Beautiful!
Does someone that own this bow for a while can tell if the vibration went away?? I would apreciate the update please, i really liked the bow
