It was for the joke, I'll be sticking to cars for now, but who knows in the future!

I love your channel! Just baught myself a XC90 T6. However I just discovered low compression on cylinders 1 and 6. Devasted.

Thanks for watching! And the low compression is a real bummer...

@frenchineer Indeed. I'll try to leave it for a couple of days with cyl 1 and 6 properly filled with penetrative fluid. Hoping it's the pistons rings. If it isn't ill bet it's the valves.

Great video. Does the inter tie rod need lube in the sleeve? Looks like you put it on dry.

They don't need to be lubricated, and the inner tie rod ball joint came pre-greased.

Now if only they made gloves as sturdy as a motorcycle helmet. No more hitting yourself in the face or busting your knuckles.

This was a very informative video. I need to replace the rack and pinion on 2010. Questioning replacing these at the same time. Have 108k, runs good, plan to hand it down to my grandson, after he masters manual legacy wagon in the snow! It might be easier to do these at the same time. My one “?” is about the aluminum vs steel? Considering this car is exposed to sand & salt, future winter salted roads. Did you use All “Genuine Volvo” parts? Thanks, great video!👍👍👍

Whether you do them at the same time is up to you. I think either way would work, but you may need an alignment in either case.
The aluminum or steel knuckle I think depends on the year and spec. Both should be fine if you do undercarriage washes every so often. This one has 220,000 miles and has always been in the Northeast US.
The parts I use are sometimes genuine volvo but usually the OEM option from FCP Euro (same manufacturer but without the volvo branding).
