She’s from New Zealand. She was a song writer and worship leader for Hillsong Australia. She’s also a producer. She currently lives in LA. Great singer and has written award winning songs, one of them is What a Beautiful Name which won a dove award in 2018 for worship song of the year. Her songs are a mainstay of churches that have contemporary worship. She’s one of my favorite singer, song writer, worship leaders!
This particular instrument projects very well. It has a well-rounded sound (strong bass), articulate, and a very sweet tone. Quite nice, indeed.
Man, the new VTS stuff is really killer. Didn't start out the best, but by 2022, they really have it down.
Brooke put out several albums under her Maiden Name Brooke Fraser and then started using her married name and recorded and wrote a bunch of very powerful and popular songs for the Hillsong Church which are being sung by literally millions of Christians in churches through out the world. What a Beautiful Name is probably her most popular worship song. Something In The Water is probably her most popular Brooke Fraser song. I'm thankful Martin made this model for her, sounds like a fine instrument! I'd like to buy one myself.
Love the artist, love her music, love these features, and if I could afford it right now I’d buy #74 in a heartbeat. I mean, besides Brooke’s signature, Quinton has played it! 😁
Brooke previously known as Brooke Fraser, lots of great songs excellent singer song writer. A great talent.
I always enjoy this segment.
Brook is a huge part of the Hilsong movement. So more of a gospel genre. Still can’t believe she’s gotta big enough for a signature model Martin!
I think the idea of Martin was to catch the audience (christians all over the world) that is huge. Its a gender of music called Worship. And Brooke is a well know reference.
Anything for a buck
Eric Clapton vs Brooke Ligertwood. Now that the they have similar features but maybe different sounds would be a good comparison.
Good to see you're recovering well Quinten. Always appreciate your playing. Love the videos guys. One day I'll get up there to visit y'all. I really enjoy all the reviews on your channel.
Brooke is an incredible songwriter - even beyond her work in the worship music genre. her solo stuff is lyrically complex and musically intricate - especially the Brutal Romantic album.
Feel for you and your shoulder. I have had two surgeries on my right shoulder. Nothing hurts worse!!! The OM is easier on mine, being a little thinner and not as large. I also love the V necks. I have been thinking about selling one of my dreadnoughts and grabbing a 000-28EC. They sound so good!
Great looking and sounding guitar...but honestly, I never have understood the Signature Model thing...just a reason to charge extra for a few minor changes.
I honestly feel it's more than that. It gives the buying public a way to buy a guitar that they might not have wanted, if those changes were there. 1 11/16" mod V neck, with short scale ... how many other models can you go to for that?
Love that body shape! I'd have to try that neck, although I think I might have my own ideas about my own signature model via MV Custom Shop. Thanks Quinton, Paul and Chad!
Thank you for covering this great guitar, fellas. Prayers going out to you, Quinton. Always a pleasure watching your videos. Please consider listening to some songs by Brooke.. she’s been a great blessing in the ministry of the Lord. She’s involved with Hillsong, some might say she’s the face of Hillsong. And she has some music of her own as well. God bless you guys. Hope their music ministers to you they way it did to me.
Brook Ligertwood is a worship singer from Hillsong Worship. A few songs that I recommend from her that that has a particularly powerful message is Hosanna, I am who you say I am and What a beautiful name.
It’s actually pretty cool that she was able to get a signature guitar with Martin. Not a lot of people are familiar with worship/ contemporary Christian artists so this is pretty cool.
Awesome! Love Brooke too bits! Part of the P&W genre! Beautiful guitar!
🙌
Quinton pisses me off...only kidding ;-) Such a natural lyrical player! Love his solo acoustic playing on this channel. Thanks for the inspiration Q.
Check out Brooke Fraser - Deciphering me. Prior to her name change. Very famous in NZ.
Similarities are they all are almost identical but the added touches of blings y kiln processes still pricey though
I played one, absolutely beautiful. But needs a 1.75 for me personally. And perhaps a more advanced pickup/preamp. That said I’m a fan of her songs and collaborations .
Curious about Quinton’s take on the neck profile. Love the modified v neck on the CEO -7-to me the most comfortable I’ve played. I know Quinton owns a CEO-7, is there a noticeable difference or does it feel very similar?
I realize the neck shapes (modified V) are the same but curious how different they feel with the difference in nut width ?
“Multiple genres” aka were not gonna say she’s a worship/Christian music artist, which I don’t blame them. Only reason I know her is because I do worship stuff, but would not expect most to know who she is.
I was surprised that she got her own signature model as well. Not sure how that happened. She’s not necessarily known particularly for her guitar playing skills, which are perfectly adequate, just nothing necessarily special.
She’s been a part of writing some great songs. King of Kings comes to mind. It is Christian/worship music. Maybe she’s branching out to do some of her own stuff, but that’s the genre she’s been know for the past decade+.
I'd have to research to confirm, but I'm pretty sure she was the best-selling artist of all time from NZ doing her own solo folky pop stuff before she ever started leading worship and joined Hillsong. You're correct that she has written tons of great songs in the Worship music genre in the last 10-15 years, but she made it big (relative) before that on her own as a solo artist.
she did take a significant “break” from being one of the faces of the hillsong worship scene to do a lot of solo work. between like 2011-2016. she put out some incredible albums, Flags and Brutal Romantic. she still cowrote with hillsong during that time but was not performing with them. then came back with a banger, What a Beautiful Name It Is and has since transitioned back into exclusively writing and leading worship music.
OM is long scale like the dreads
I ordered one of these after playing thinking it was wider than 1 11/16” and that it was 1.75”. It’s a great neck. Better in personal than on paper for my taste.
do you still like it?
I am madly amused this was filmed in Bozeman. I am sure that is purely coincidental. I have a 000-18, no where near as fancy, by a long shot, but still a keeper.
Fellas you really should do a little research on the artist the model is named for before reviewing it. She is an astounding and world renowned Christian song writer, worship leader and singer.
Might have been worth researching the artist before shooting the demo 😂 it’s a 000-28ec with an 1 11/16 nut as opposed to a 1 3/4, Love my Clapton.
I've never heard Brooke ligerton play guitar aside from church strumming on stage. Nonetheless, nice guitar.
Does this model have a pick up?
unfortunately it does not…was hoping for one. the guys at Sweetwater told me they’d install electronics in it but makes me hesitant. never pulled the trigger
Get better quinton. Also was looking forward to a review on this.
I would buy this in a heartbeat, but I just cant stand signature models, especially when it's on the fretboard.
I own a Martin vts 000 addy/mahogany but this just screams money grab. They are vying for the Christian dollars, especially the evangelist mega church types.
Gimme a break. Never heard of her.
And? You saying screw paying more than for her name? I agree there. I don't know who she is either and hate signatures anyway. Not the sound. Jist tacky
@@el34glo59 I'm just saying what's the point of making a signature guitar what's the name of somebody that most people have never heard of?
I’m from New Zealand………and I’ve never heard of her.
@@SuperEdge67 never heard of her either.
She’s one of the biggest names in Christian worship music. They don’t just give signatures to anyone.
The beginning of this review is so unprofessional. Do better...
