Thanks Trev. It's a bloody long Episode but we couldn't bring ourselves to interrupt the flow of the passage by splitting it. A very good percentage of people are watching all the way through though which is great. We hope 2024 is very kind to you as well.
I use to live on Horn Island as a teenager, worked for falcon airlines back then , also got my license on Thursday Island too , kinda scary to think a police officer went for a drive around the block in a bright yellow Mighty Boy with me and gave me my license, big wake up call driving in brisbane with traffic and no dirt roads,,,,, awesome to see the change up there, glad you made the passage safely, enjoy the adventure xo
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. We really appreciate it. We loved our time on Horn Island so think you were very fortunate to live there for a while. Looking at the some of the cars on the roads still, maybe not all that much has changed in some areas. Hope you enjoy riding along with us on our future adventures. Cheers R & K
Awesome guys, so glad to see you made it across safely. I feel for you on a passage like that, watching Dreamtime rolling side to side is amazing when we sit flat. It certainly makes it a bigger workout. Hopefully we finally cross paths again later this year or next, when we start in Thailand.
Hey! We're mono people. What can we say. Sharing an anchorage and sundowner or two would be awesome. We've got some remote sailing around Sulawesi planned next but we do intend on getting up to Langkawi by the end of the year.
Thanks so much. We're really pleased you enjoyed it. We always show a map at the end of each passage we do but as this was going to be 5 or 6 days we thought the progressive maps and progress information would help convey the passage of time and distance on the trip. We're so glad they appear to have worked. Cheers R & K
Thanks so much Ben. We really appreciate you taking the time to comment. It means a lot to us. We hope you continue enjoying the ride with us. Cheers R & K
Wow, what an incredible journey! It's amazing to see you sail across the Arafura Sea from Australia to Indonesia on your 42-foot ketch. Your hard work and determination are truly inspiring. The way you handle Dreamtime rolling side to side shows your expertise as sailors. I hope you have many more exciting adventures ahead and that our paths cross soon. Happy New Year and fair winds to you both! Great job!
Thanks guys! We are mono people so what can we say? Other than we may get jealous seeing you cat people's videos with all sorts of things sitting on tables and benches while you're underway. Us that live life on the lean don't risk that on a mill pond. lol
Thanks so much mate. We really appreciate your support and enjoy having you ride along. It's a far, far different world to drag racing. We'll have to catch up for a cold one when we come back. Cheers R & K

You guys an odd couple???? Never 😄Glad you liked the episode. We tried to portray the reality of what it is like on passage. We were seriously impressed by our old ketch in those conditions. Hope things are working out in the UK for you. Cheers R & K
With the biggish following swell and 20-30 knots from aft, the boat just loves being dragged along from the front rather than being pushed around by the main or particularly mizzen. We've also found we don't really go any faster with more sail up in those conditions, but just over power the auto-pilot more often. In contrast, we have just anchored after a 110 mile overnighter in 8-10 knots just forward of the beam where we flew everything, yankee, staysail, main and mizzen and averaged 6.6 knots despite the light breeze. Cheers Rob
Good video. I think entering an unknown anchorage at night could spark some discussion from armchair warriors. Look forward to the next vid. Safe travels and thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jeffrey. We're glad you enjoyed it. We would not have attempted the anchorage in the dark if we didn't have the very clear satellite imagery on in SAS Planet to navigate our way in with and a very good spotlight to use on the bow. It was still a bit nerve wracking though with the number of unlit local boats. Cheers R & K
Thanks for the feedback. We have dropped the music levels a long way but it looks like we may have to rethink how much music we use. The next couple of videos are already made but look for some further improvement soon. Thanks so much for sticking with us. Cheers R & K
Very cool, thanks guys.. and happy new years, and anniversary.. 😊

Good on you looking a little bumpy
Thanks Glenn. It was a bit spirited on the way across. Cheers R & K
Great video. Sime challenging sailing conditions there, but fast, well done.
We enjoy our passages, so we're one of those odd couples 😂

16:49 ozzies with no air conditioning . Take me home now LOL
It was a bit tropical. 😉
From Indonesia
But we were sailing TO Indonesia.
The Hi Rob, just watched your passage video. How come you don’t fly the main?
With the biggish following swell and 20-30 knots from aft, the boat just loves being dragged along from the front rather than being pushed around by the main or particularly mizzen. Bro can you take me there
Glad you enjoyed the episode. Cheers!
The music during dialogue is still very annoying.
