I have a question at around 15:21, why specify to not use Taily or Gremory? Is this in general or just don't pair them up with Lorraine? Lorraine's Poison cannot be blocked. Taily and Gremory's only purpose as supports there is to fix Shakmeh's block to 0, for the vast majority of dps heroes in the game, but Lorraine is special in this sense and does not need them. There are better options for this role who will add more than them in a team around Lorraine dps.
Great guide! Finally was looking around for someone with an updated guide for her that I can understand. Thank you very much Just a few questions. Basically for eclipse I should just aim for atk and pen lines for her gear? Why skip crit and crit dmg btw? I’ve been slowly optimizing my builds outside my core magic and physical teams. Haven’t seen too many useful guides for every hero so I’ve just gone with the basic atk/crit/critdmg lines for all the dps heroes. Did not think penetration was a stat useful especially for Lorraine. All the dmg done to bosses in eclipse is through Poison, which cannot crit. So all crit and cdmg stats are wasted. Skills and normal attacks do absolutely no dmg to the bosses after a certain point and they are only used as a way to keep bosses under control, increase the dmg of the poison and interrupt dangerous attacks. Crit chance is only nice to have for the normal mobs in early stages, but poison can deal with them too, just more slowly. Pen is important because after stage 58+ bosses DEF starts spiking to ridiculous levels. This type of build is not useful everywhere, but when you are facing strong enemy Bosses, poison will always be your main source of damage and ATK/Pen build should almost always be your choice, with notable exceptions being Ascalon and Shakmeh.

They both can work as main dps but Xerah is more specialized for damage and Lorraine is a stronger support and well-rounded unit. Lorraine is impossibly stronger at the start of the game though, but will fall down in dmg a bit in end game.

Was looking for an advanced Lorriane guide since 2 weeks since I transfered to her and it did not turn out well. A119 so far. But the more Ive watched the video the more I get the impression that I have a fundamental missunderstanding how the DoT works. So, some question here: 1. Are DoTs are categorized as magic/phys or just neutral? (turning to the question if amps effect them) 2. Why does every build here has a requirement of 1500 def pen minimum? Are DoTs effected by targets def? 3. Do general dmg increasing effects have impact on the DoT? Like the 25/90 TM or OWS. Why do I often see 2x 25/90 and 2x continous as recommended then Instead of just 4x 25/90? I dont really understand the pros/cons it seems. Overall I think I havent seen any guide where that much effort was put on. GJ
1.- The damage of the DoT is determined by the type of the hero. In case of Lorraine, all damage is magic, including the DoT, therefore is increase by Magic Amps and deals less damage to targets with high MDEF. 2.- Here there is a graph courtesy of Exdigo, that shows how you need to balance your ATK and Pen according to how much DEF stat enemies have: cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/743025220901928961/794583268162273352/unknown.png You can see it is suggested to get around 1500 Pen for bosses with 200k DEF and 1690 for bosses with over 300k. Whenever a number is suggested in the video, is because the shown Boss has that amount of DEF or more. And yes, DoTs are affected by enemy's DEF. 3.- Yes, all DoTs are affected by DMG%, but this modifier has a diminishing return, therefore it will start gaining lower and lower increasess the more of these mods you stack. These mods are very common in buffers like Priscilla, items like Shakmeh's Sword and the Set bonus from galgoria gear itself, so stacking 4x 25/95 is overdoing it. Continuous dmg on the other hand is only 20%, but this mod does not suffer from this lowered value, and will only increase the more of these mods you have. The con of this, it will only affect the dmg of the DoT, and not her skills or other sources. This is why is generally a good balance to have 2/2 for multiple scenarios, though it will obviously be optimal if you can get multiple sets for different situations.

Doesnt matter much. If full support just hp, ptough, atkspd and mpsec. If subdps support give her offendive stats with crit and s3l perk to keep resetting her s3
Total pen means buffs and perks included. Fallen frey alone gives you 500. In reality you need 800 or 900 pen from gear only. This is easy to obtain from ut lines or velk runes

it's not the same layer and by virtue of not being so, is stronger than the others.

2/2 is the safest bet if you are only going to get 1 set of gear. it will fit almost all content.
For ascalon use a crit chance based build with ut3.

@@kaworu037 get 800 pen max on your UTs. the rest of the pen is obtained through buffs and perks. Focus on getting as high atk as you can
