One of the things that really bothered me about this movie was that all the firebenders had to be near an already existing fire source to firebend. Like, alsjflasdjfkakjfl FIREBENDING COMES FROM WITHIN!!!!!!!!!
I hate to agree, but at least Last Airbender had a coherent plot. They just wouldn't stop telling it long enough to show it. Artemis Fowl managed to top The Seeker: Dark is Rising in the incoherent mess category.
Thank you for your sacrifice. 😹 That movie was so bad for so many reasons. Btw you forgot to mention Soak-a and Ong. But yeah, it really pissed me off that Iroh wasn't Iroh. It's like a bad fanfiction where half of the characters are ooc.
I think I would feel worse if this movie wasn't universally disliked, and was instead divisive or somehow even popular with certain audiences. That would make things a million times more frustrating for us fans of the show. Fortunately when it comes to disliking this film, we're all in this together.
me and my mum were having a chat about avatar and mid way through the conversation she asked me if they had made a sequel to the movie cuz i was talking about stuff in book two. i was deeply disappointing and gave up on my family actually being intelligent cuz later on i found out my dad thought the same thing as my mum
I haven't erased this movie from my memory after my philosophy teacher made us watch it in class when we were talking about the philosophers that believed the world was made up of the 4 elements, this same teacher also made an exam that consisted of relating moral philosophies of ancient greeks to the characters on the Pixar short Boundin', he also made us read books on the philosophy of The Matrix and Terminator. Some people talk about how parents educate their children through movies and TV, well this is a teacher who educated his students based on movies and pop culture, there are more examples of this like when he gave us an entire class on Halloween dressed as Moody from Harry Potter, maybe that is why I like youtube channels like Seamus's, that overanalize movies, because that was litterally my school work back then.
That’s what he looks like. I always thought he looked kinda familiar but I could never figure it out. I feel bad for Miranda Cosgrove that ppl are making that comparison
Seamus, when you eventually cover tangled the series, I do hope you cover the whole thing, cuz if you don’t I will remind you you spent time to watch this.
I was literally thinking to comment this suggestion as well. It’s technically a Disney sequel and it surprisingly good. I watched it not too long ago and I really enjoyed it. The songs are so good. I’ve been listening to the music so much
Azula could've been done well, if they'd even kept her line in, when Ozai told Azula capturing Aang was now her mission, she was on her knees, bowing to him, hair worn in a bun (as royalty does), she said she agreed, then slowly looked up, showing her menacing smile.
I really loved this video! The last bender really is abysmal compared to the series! But a piece of advice: maybe put any pieces of text onscreen for a moment longer (if you want us to read them) because they are tricky to read coz it’s so fast
Missed opportunity to call “The Worst Series to Movie Adaptation of all time.” Also, PLEASE MAKE AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER VIDEOS (Edit) You know the adaptation is bad when even Disney makes a better adaptation. I know Avatar: The Last Airbender and Raya and the Last Dragon are both based on Southeast Asian Culture and that’s why they look similar.
i think ATLA actually has, like beginner chapter books I have this really vague memory from ages before I watched the show, of picking up this book and reading it. From what i can remember, it was from Sokka’s perspective, and looking back, I’m pretty sure it took place a little before the Boiling Rock, judging by the fragments I can remember. am i the only one who ever saw these i can’t find any records of them ever existing help
I’m pretty sure there’s like one good bending scene. It’s towards the end when ONG is running through the fire nation troops to get somewhere (I don’t really remember where). He’s using both water and air effectively. Then it goes back to garbage.
at first, i thought that a lot happened during the movie. i didn’t feel any attachment to the characters, and thought that they seemed a little flat. aang didn’t feel like a kid, either. he barely spoke, and he wasn’t very fun. he felt to serious. so when i found out he ran away to avoid responsibility, i was confused. this kid seems to have his live very well put together at TWELVE, and even though he was just frozen for who knows how long, he just??? is ok with that?? i hated movie aang. then, when i saw his character in the show, i loved him. he was, just a kid. he didn’t want to have the burden of the avatar on him, and avoids it as much as possible. i LOVE him in the show. katara was, well. something. she was, to put it lightly, forgettable. i watched this all during quarantine for the first time, so i don’t exactly remember it, but i thought she was just awful. then in the show, she is spunky and a water bending master. although she’s way to into putting other people’s trauma aside becuase her mother died. like, aang’s whole tribe died??? all his friends??? and then your bother??? and then zuko???? was abused???????? but anyways. sokka was absolute trash. too pretty, and he lacked his spunk that he has in the show. i honestly wasn’t going to watch the show because i was scared it would be like the movie: flat characters that i hated more than liked, boring scenes, terrible character interactions, etc. sokka was easily my favorite lead character in the show, because he was so charming. like yeah, i hated him sometimes, but he made up for it. zuko my beloveded, they did him so dirty. he is no where near as important in the movie and for what. they give him little interaction with the leads, and he has no reason to even be a character besides to start the journey a little early and give us less time to see the characters connect. i’m just happy they didn’t put ty lee in any of these movies istg. would have ruined her for me. and mai

this movie was that all the firebenders had to be near
an already existing fire source to firebend.
Like, alsjflasdjfkakjfl FIREBENDING COMES FROM WITHIN!!!!!!!!!
The Last Airbender might not be the new worst book to movie adaptation, but Artemis Fowl might just be
I hate to agree, but at least Last Airbender had a coherent plot. They just wouldn't stop telling it long enough to show it. Artemis Fowl managed to top The Seeker: Dark is Rising in the incoherent mess category.
That transition to the sponsor 🌊👌
Thank you for your sacrifice. 😹 That movie was so bad for so many reasons. Btw you forgot to mention Soak-a and Ong. But yeah, it really pissed me off that Iroh wasn't Iroh. It's like a bad fanfiction where half of the characters are ooc.
I think I would feel worse if this movie wasn't universally disliked, and was instead divisive or somehow even popular with certain audiences. That would make things a million times more frustrating for us fans of the show. Fortunately when it comes to disliking this film, we're all in this together.
Oh my gosh I wasn’t expecting a video so soon! This made my day!!!
I usually skip past the sponsors but you tied it in so well I just couldn’t
Hail Avatar Seamus! I always knew you were next in the cycle
1:00 well technically the series calls each individual season a book. Ex. Season 1= Book 1 etc.
And he was complaining about us making him sit through the Barbie movies
8:01 In the first few episodes Iroh did actually aid Zuko in capturing the Avatar
me and my mum were having a chat about avatar and mid way through the conversation she asked me if they had made a sequel to the movie cuz i was talking about stuff in book two.
i was deeply disappointing and gave up on my family actually being intelligent cuz later on i found out my dad thought the same thing as my mum
Oof
That’s ruff buddy 😒
Curse you Seamus!! And your clever sponsorship transitions!
(Love the vid)
I never knew I was waiting for this, now please now review the show I beg
I just realised that aang looks like a young Miranda cosgrove
That’s what he looks like. I always thought he looked kinda familiar but I could never figure it out. I feel bad for Miranda Cosgrove that ppl are making that comparison
1:02 while you are technically right as there is no book it was based on after the show they did make some comics for ATLA and LOK
I’ve been listening to the music so much
Seamus, your transition to the video's sponsor is so clever! Every time I just laugh and smile because of it!!!
Thank you Seamus for making the ultimate sacrifice for us and suffering through this movie, not all heroes wear capes 😔💗
Azula could've been done well, if they'd even kept her line in, when Ozai told Azula capturing Aang was now her mission, she was on her knees, bowing to him, hair worn in a bun (as royalty does), she said she agreed, then slowly looked up, showing her menacing smile.
Smoothest transition ever
I really loved this video! The last bender really is abysmal compared to the series! But a piece of advice: maybe put any pieces of text onscreen for a moment longer (if you want us to read them) because they are tricky to read coz it’s so fast
Missed opportunity to call “The Worst Series to Movie Adaptation of all time.”
Also, PLEASE MAKE AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER VIDEOS
(Edit) You know the adaptation is bad when even Disney makes a better adaptation.
I know Avatar: The Last Airbender and Raya and the Last Dragon are both based on Southeast Asian Culture and that’s why they look similar.
That air-bending at the end! Flawless!
I'm not big on Avatar but when I was a kid this was my favorite movie
16:11 That airbending though
You are the ONE UA-camr that uploads when I’m actually WATCHING UA-cam!
i think ATLA actually has, like beginner chapter books
I have this really vague memory from ages before I watched the show, of picking up this book and reading it.
From what i can remember, it was from Sokka’s perspective, and looking back, I’m pretty sure it took place a little before the Boiling Rock, judging by the fragments I can remember.
am i the only one who ever saw these i can’t find any records of them ever existing help
YESSSS HE MADE A VIDEO ABOUT THIS NONEXISTANT MOVIE LETS GOOO
I’m pretty sure there’s like one good bending scene. It’s towards the end when ONG is running through the fire nation troops to get somewhere (I don’t really remember where). He’s using both water and air effectively. Then it goes back to garbage.
its almost like this didn't need a movie
In the part where you said there are ‘two sides to Zuko’s coin’ you should have ‘two sides to every cloud’
Day 5 of asking Seamus to react to Twisted: the Untold Story of a Royal Vizier and/or the A Very Potter Trilogy by Starkid
YES PLEASE
YES
YESSSS
Oh my gosh yes!
at first, i thought that a lot happened during the movie. i didn’t feel any attachment to the characters, and thought that they seemed a little flat. aang didn’t feel like a kid, either. he barely spoke, and he wasn’t very fun. he felt to serious. so when i found out he ran away to avoid responsibility, i was confused. this kid seems to have his live very well put together at TWELVE, and even though he was just frozen for who knows how long, he just??? is ok with that?? i hated movie aang. then, when i saw his character in the show, i loved him. he was, just a kid. he didn’t want to have the burden of the avatar on him, and avoids it as much as possible. i LOVE him in the show.
katara was, well. something. she was, to put it lightly, forgettable. i watched this all during quarantine for the first time, so i don’t exactly remember it, but i thought she was just awful. then in the show, she is spunky and a water bending master. although she’s way to into putting other people’s trauma aside becuase her mother died. like, aang’s whole tribe died??? all his friends??? and then your bother??? and then zuko???? was abused???????? but anyways.
sokka was absolute trash. too pretty, and he lacked his spunk that he has in the show. i honestly wasn’t going to watch the show because i was scared it would be like the movie: flat characters that i hated more than liked, boring scenes, terrible character interactions, etc. sokka was easily my favorite lead character in the show, because he was so charming. like yeah, i hated him sometimes, but he made up for it.
zuko my beloveded, they did him so dirty. he is no where near as important in the movie and for what. they give him little interaction with the leads, and he has no reason to even be a character besides to start the journey a little early and give us less time to see the characters connect.
i’m just happy they didn’t put ty lee in any of these movies istg. would have ruined her for me. and mai
