NOOOOO WAYYYYYYYYY HEE LIKED MY COMMENTTTT WHATTTTTTT NOOOOO 🥳🥳🥳🤯🤯🤯 MY HEARTS BEATING SO FAST
Also pohcahontas was like twelve when she defended John smith and he was in his late twenties. People through our history have even questioned if John was even defended by pohcanontas. Basically Disney loves lying to us.
Thank you for putting this! The sequel added more Pocahontas history. And she dies in England
Alice Mckinney I know that what my teacher always complains about
My (very basic) knowledge of Pocahontas' real history makes me think the fact Pocahontas having a romance with John Smith one of the least worrying thing in the Disney movie
Okay but when I was a kid, I was DEVASTATED when Shang sacrificed himself.
Let’s be real, Ming Na’s acting there was incredible.
I love your profil pic omggg

Oh I definitely cried my eyes out when Mulan slumps down by the bridge/ravine
I just thought it was a lotr ripoff cus I had just watched that when I saw this movie for the first time 😂
Mulan's reaction to Shang's "death"- the blank stare, cry shouting his name and sobbing- used to really get me as a kid. It was and still is my favourite part of that film

Fun fact that a lot of people probably know: The real Pocahontas married John Rolfe, but on the way back to Virginia, she died. She had a son (Thomas Rolfe) and yeah that’s all I can remember from my fourth grade Virginia history class
Smith was smoking gunpowder when Pocahontas was 12
Also John Smith wrote that Pocahontas and 30 other women had, group, interaction.
Virginia is for lovers!❤❤❤
And then she died of smallpox!
@@MeMySkirtandI She died of TB (known in those days as "consumption").
I think the reason I liked Mulan 2 as a kid was because I was a total simp for Shang and honestly I can't blame my younger self, he do be looking good with that open long black hair holy moly

@Alexis Reed it was a great film besides Mushu I liked the storyline and music. I like happy endings:)
I was a really cheesy kid, still one. I loved the romance so badly between the princesses and the three dudes.

No, he died of salmonella from eating all of those raw eggs..
We never see Tadashi’s body in Big Hero 6 after he was supposedly burned to death
Don't give me hope
Actually, I heard something about him being a supervillain in a sequel. But that was years ago, like in 2016 or early 2017.
Don't do this...don't give me hope...
And since that other dude survived THERE’S A POSSIBILITY

“The Mulan Sequel That Just Shouldn’t Exist...”
Just like the live action version.
I liked the live action it is less... I just love bad movies I guess.
In my opinion, ppl who generally like the kind of movies disney , would definetly not enjoy the live action bc it goes off the typical style of disney. But some ppl who enjoy a bit serious movies more could probably like it.
Oh btw i do like the live action
I actually enjoyed it. I mean the costumes, the acting, everything is great!
I liked the sequel and the live action was not bad but comparing it to the animation it’s a turd. But the sequel isn’t bad and I like it!
Seamus: This is just such an uncomfortable love triangle
Twilight: Am I a joke to you?
I mean if we're being honest here, Pocahontas II is probably closer to historical facts than the first. They still got it wrong by making her and John Rolfe legitimate love interests because that is NOT how it went down. Some of the other stuff is kinda true. Like her being considered savage and being forced to not act like a native and her dying and everything. The first one was just wrong all the way. Like nothing about it other than the fact that, hey, the Native Americans met the Europeans at some point in time and then there's John Smith, is right in any way.
I didn't like the sequel though. Like okay, if you wanna make a story about a Native American girl, fine. Heck, add romance if you want. It's not likely that it would have happened, but still, in comparison to the right of making romance in Pocahontas, it's better in some regard. Make your own storyline. Don't change history and make romance between a literal child and a grown man and think by making their ages closer to one another that it'd be dismissable. Like come on, dudes, you bullied the natives enough in the past, don't insult their entire existence by romanticizing that crap.
I... I am so sorry. Once I start talking about history and the accuracy of their artistic representations, I dive off a deep end. You don't have to read this at all, I just needed to release my anger.
It's alright. I feel the exact same way about Americans whitewashing foreign masterpieces, because they just can't fucking read subtitles.
@@ps1hagrid786 That's kinda funny because my brother thinks the same way about some of the things he likes to watch. He hates English dubs and remakes and stuff. I have to agree with him. Leave them original, they sound and/or look so much better. And for real, the amount of censorship they use when they do it. Like, do they think we can't handle it or some crap? Okay yes, I do admit some people probably would say stuff about it because there's always at least one Karen complaining about how her 5-year-old son deserves to watch an X-Rated film without all the details. But still.
I can't lie, sometimes us Americans are pieces of crap. Some more than others, but crap nonetheless.
@Xiletelo Mabasa EXACTLY! Like hey, I don't mind learning about history and all, but don't give kids the wrong idea by romanticizing this crap. I can't lie, I like the songs from the movie, but it's so hugely historically inaccurate that as a teenager now (especially after a few thorough history classes) I'm just like.... Why?
local dreamer I don’t think they intended to make it represent or insult the original story.
don't be sorry! as a poc myself, it's annoying to see Americans be careless with real peoples cultures and tradition sometimes. you're speaking your mind about that, and you have every right to do so.

3:33 because Pocahontas irl actually married John Rolfe. Disney’s mistake: she was enslaved at the time & had a ton of pressure to assimilate to get a tad bit more freedom
The Hunchback sequel makes me so mad. I love the first film so much, the second one is just like a slap in the face.
It's the spit in the face Esmeralda gave to Frollo
All I remember from the first is everyone hating on gypsy’s.....
"a man whos interested in women is looking to fall in love"
we love an inclusive king who doesn't think men liking women is a given
Okay, everyone is talking about Pocahontas 2 and how John Rolfe is her husband in history, but does disney not know how bells work, like... the jewels are on the inside, with the part that makes it ring. You ring it bam, all the priceless jewels turn to expensive dust.
Also, if you want to get technical Pocahontas never sails back to America, she gives birth to her only son in Europe and then dies 4 years later or small pox or something similar so...

I haven’t seen the Bambi films since I was like 7 I should really watch them again
The reason they changed the pokahontas movies is because Disney got backlash for making a false stories about pokahontas and in real life she ended up marrying John Rolfe who was a tobacco farmer or something like that.
“I can’t wait to get sued by screen rant”
Seamus 2020
Hi, as John Rolfe and Pocahontas’ descendant, as well as being part Native American, I just wanna let you know that... Pocahontas and John Rolfe actually did end up getting married and having kids. Specifically, my great-something-uncle. So... yeah... I kinda found that first bit a little offensive? Don’t get me wrong, the movies are way worse and totally not accurate to Native society, but... yeah...
Then, like, why did they hook her up with John Smith in the first place, man?!
@@eatatjoes6751 Because it's an old Disney movie. There had to be some element of romance, even if it wasn't historically accurate.

Why did she change her name?
You know, if Walt Disney was alive, this and belle's Magical World would not be the movie's that he wanted to show his audience. Those would kill it for Walt.
Mulan, Pocohantas, and Hunchback were PERFECT alone...Then...The sequels happened...
Pocohantas is not PERFECT it is racist
@@justariane3241 TBH, I actually hate Pocahantas. It's my least favorite Disney Princess movie ever. It's horribly incorrect historically and it was always dull to me. But compared to its sequel...It seems like a real beauty in comparison.
ArianeIsAwesome I think that was the purpose though. To show the racism and how it was fkr no particular reason
@@pollygotacracker9396 Yea, I think that's the point too. It's to show that the divide of racism is stupid and that people are still people no matter their color or race.
Long ago, the original Disney movies lived together in harmony.
*....Then, everything changed when the Sequel Nation attacked*
i was obsessed with all 3 of these films as a child. your criticisms are valid and true but i pretend i do not see them because of nostalgia.
Unpopular opinion:
Bambi II is better than the original Bambi
• Less way too long nature scenes
• Animation looks better
• We actually see Bambi being sad over his mother’s death which the first one didn’t really have idk why
• The prince (Bambi’s Dad) and Bambi’s relationship development is adorable and I actually felt that his character was better than Bambi’s mom
Also, I actually like Mulan II it’s not nearly as good as the original, but I feel like overall it fits the theme of Mulan.
Loki Odinson Awe really I felt like watching it it wasn’t that bad
Delaney Stajduhar another unpopular opinion:
Whole concept of the expensive bell in Notre Dame was not a bad idea, and in general the hunchback of Notre Dame two was almost good. ALMOST. The idea that there is a bell that looks like a normal bell, but inside is encrusted with precious stones, it’s a very clever reference to how Quasimodo is more beautiful on the inside than outside. The fact that there is A traveling circus ringleader who uses sleight-of-hand magic to steal valuable things, not to mention having a somewhat similar skin tone to Esmeralda, means that Frolo was right to some extent about Romani people being capable of criminal activity and cultural subversion [really though, it depends on the individual, not the group. There are bad gypsies out there, but that doesn’t make them all bad]. The idea of Quasimodo not so much resenting that Phoebus is married to Esmeralda, but just resenting Esmeralda being married in general could go someway to showing that Quasimodo wasn’t so much in love with Esmeralda so much as he was in love with the IDEA of Esmeralda. He wanted somebody who would love him unconditionally, and he thought he had found that in her, but he didn’t. All in all, this film could’ve been a fair sequel we’re not for the fact that they took the easy way out, instead of working at it a little bit more.
Christian Ali 👏👏👏 Amazing
Delaney Stajduhar It’s not a great movie, but it could have been.
The original Bambi is really emotionally driven, which was typical for those early Disney feature length films (Snow White was similar in this regard; not really a lot of character or plot, but very emotionally interesting and visually interesting). The nature scenes I felt were kind of the whole point of Bambi. Most of the film is just about nature, and about the lives of the creatures living there. Those long visually moody scenes are what I like about it, not to mention the gorgeous backgrounds.
But some people don't really like that kind of film, and that's ok. Its only a "sometimes watch" for me personally.
“All I want is my Sirius to be alive and ok.” Me too Seamus
Pocahontas married John Rolfe because that’s what happened in the history.
In the "original story"? Oh, you mean hiSTORY?
D0MiN0 yes.
considering how much they seemed to butcher the original story and make it something completely new and different, why try to be historically accurate now?
We don’t see Gaston’s body either. He could be alive somehow even though that drop would be hard to survive
He is probably paralytic

Just realised that Mulan II looks so much nicer than most of the other DIsney sequels. The animation actually looks pretty similar to the first one..
I mean the first one isnt that old. It was released in either 98/99/00. The sequel is like 10 years after so the animation wont be that drastic.

I enjoyed watching the sequels. My favorites are definitely Mulan 2 And the two lion king sequels.
Also, for the longest time, my family only owned the sequels, besides mulan. It was only in high school that I finally saw the originals.
I honestly didn’t know the first Shrek film existed until I was 11/12 years old. I thought Shrek 2 was just the name of the movie @-@
Dude. Pocahontas was a real person. John Smith was a real person. John Rolfe was a real person. And Pocahontas really did marry John Rolfe. In real life.
I made a self promise that I would pretend all of these movies dont exist as soon as I watched it as a 7yo

I'm not a big fan of the Lion King either, but I remember loving the third one as a child. The second is pretty good, too. I love the song about him not being "One of Us" (don't remember if that's the correct title).
Lion King II: Simba's Pride is up there, if not my favorite Disney sequel . . . Yeah, it's Romeo and Juliet, but the original was Hamlet so it fits the themes of Lion King movies . . . Interested to see Seamus' take on the Lion King sequels. Fingers-crossed he doesn't hate them too bad ; )
Lmfaoo his stank face to the Mulan 2 movie in the thumbnail gets me every time 🤣🤣🤣
And mulan 2 has really good music such as I wanna be like other girls and lesson no.1 so...
john smith in real life wasnt even romantically involved with pocahontas (or Jessica, no lie she actually changed her name to Jessica at one point). Its actually really interesting. The two were close but in a more father-daughter way than anything and now im too lazy to write the rest, but basically the second movie is them awkwardly trying to backtrack the first one very poorly.
Well have to appreciate the attempt to make it closer to actual history. Not a great attempt, but it's an attempt.
Literally when I first watched pocahontas 2 (the journey to a new world) when John Falls I went plot twist (jazz hands) he's alive

I remember watching Mulan 2 on a plane, and by remembered I saw Mulan in a dress and Shang being depressed down by the river. Thank you, thank you.
Next you should do Peter Pan: Return to neverland cause it’s just a disgrace
2026.Aanika Kumar omg your the first person to say this and I totally agree!!
Dylan Sharp okay that’s your opinion this is mine
Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet or not, but I read a blog post by an animator who worked on Pocahontas II (sorry I don’t remember who, it’s been years) explain that John Smith was too difficult to draw (the animators of sequels are different than those working on the originals, and if I understood correctly, at that time didn’t have any more access to the film’s artwork than we did - buying the VHS for reference). So they chopped Smith out of most of the film and replaced him with historically accurate and easier to animate John Ralph. I used to want to be an artist for Disney in my teens and researched artists who worked for them constantly, or else I wouldn’t have known this. I was shocked they didn’t have more references provided for them, but then, Disney sequels aren’t known for their quality. It’s straight to video content.
Fun Fact: That ship sailing back to America was her last ship. Pocahontas died there, and there's a GIANT theory that the dudes onboard poisoned her food.
I was so confused in the beginning of the video cause I saw Mulan in the title lmao
I’d love for Disney to make a sequel where someone dies in the beginning and everyone else is in denial about it but then they are actually just dead and everyone is sad.
The way you pronounced Chien Po and said 'Shang Lee' angers me
“Kill John Smith!!!!” Also first Disney sequel fakeout death
I watched the Pocahontas 2 movie when I was pretty young and even then I knew it was trash.
Making references to screen rant is tight!
This is my first time watching your videos, and at first I thought, "Is his accent real? Is it a thing he does? I think his accent is real, I would give up part way through, his accent is real. " All that and more in like 3 seconds, and then I actually enjoyed the video. Thank you all for my water fall of thoughts
That short moment where we have a happy ending of Sirius being alive for Seamus is just a HUGE same for me.
That Shang sacrifice is surprisingly similar to Natasha on Vormir...
I despise Pocahontas ii but I love the first one. I KNOW ITS NOT HISTORICALLY ACCURATE AT ALL BUT I DON'T CARE I HAVE A SOFT SPOT BECAUSE IM NATIVE AMERICAN AND ITS THE ONLY MOVIE I HAVE
Pocahontas married John Rolfe in real life, which is why he's the love interest in the second film.
John Smith was saved by Pocahontas in history, probably... he wrote the story himself and sometimes he describes the story differently
Seamus I gotta tell you YOUR EDITING IS SO GOOD I APPRECIATE IT AND LOVE IT SO MUCH that's all have a fantastic day :)
❤
ok but now i have the image of pokohontas dancing for the king like "iM a SaVaGe ClAsSiC bOuGeE"...
Ok ok let see if I can do something called “ fixing a sequel”
Let’s start with Pocahontas 2.
While we’re lead to think John smith is dead I think what we could do is just have him lurk around in his cloak and secretly helping Pocahontas fit which make John Rolf suspicious of this.
And let’s say right before Poc is arrested for defending a bear John Smith makes his appearance revealing he’s alive and.... um ... the villain from the first film failed to kill him and lied to the king James and thus gets arrested . After that Poc and smith have their closure and part ways after realizing Pocahontas love Rolf over Smith and queen give Pocahontas her English name “ Rebecca” and end the movie right their.
............
Now hunched back 2
We can have the predictable plot but let’s say love interest and villain are a couple who play up being Gypsy’s like Esmerelda and seek sanctuary in the church.
Their they plan to steal any valuable from Norte damn, Quasimodo’s catches Maddy and she runs in terror to her boyfriend, villain decided to use maddy to distract Quasimodo while he goes around to steal any valuables.
So Maddy aproches Quasimodo and apologize for running off in terror and asks him to take a tour of the city which they do. And in this time Maddy sees how sweet Quasi is to her and soon realizes Quasi is just a regular man but deformed and sees how kind he is compared to villain .
When they return Maddy is horrified to see note dame robbed and Phobus is their ready to arrest Maddy. He tells Quasimodo that maddy was a criminal that she and her boyfriend were wanted ( even tho she lied claiming her boyfriend was her brother) Quasimodo is heart broken.
In jail villain comes in to say good bye and starts to leave her but maddy tells him she’s pregnant with his child but he doesn’t care and almost gets away but Quasimodo stops him and holds him down while Phoebus arrests him.
Maddy is free due to Quasimodo vouching for her and hearing that she’s pregnant, maddy swears she wants to start fresh and vows to not steal or be a criminal.
And over time Quasimodo and maddy get to know one another and fall in love.
End
.......
Now Mulan 2. I would fix the 3 princesses, have them insted be maids to 1 princess, the maid don’t want Mulan influences on the princess because it’s not lady like and so on.
The 3 soil sets each break down their respective maid and the princess is free to express herself and who does she express it to? Mushu, mushu isn’t a jerk to the guardians and tries to give the princess advice but things go wrong when bandits attack and kidnapped the princess.
The maids are furious they let their guard down and panic.
Mulan and Shang go after the bandits.( the rest plays out with fake out death)
Mulan , the soldiers and the maid head to the kingdom to explain as Mulan offers herself to be wed in place of the missing princess.
Before the vows are said Shang arises In time and alive and he has the princess and Mushu is with them.
The princess thanks Mulan for sacrificing herself but doesn’t need to anymore and us ready to wed the prince in the name of peice. But the king refuses and says his kingdom will be allies and insted insist the princess gets to know his son ( yeah it’s BS at this point but what ever)
Back at the shrine Mushu is ready to accept his demotion when Shang shows up with an ancestor of his own thus letting Mushu remain a guardian since it was Mushu who got him on his feet and help find the princess.
End
Sorry it was long but those are the fixes I make to these movies
Amazing, Seamus Should See This.
WOAH THIS IS LONG
AND GOOD
you're so talented! i love how you fit that yin yang together
Over half way into the video and he finally talks about the Mulan sequel
5:48 well... The real pochahontas (Yes, she was a real person) married a man named John Rolfe, and did know a man named John Smith. :)
Matoaka was never friends with short fat ginger John Smith. Smith kept telling tall tells about his "rescue" and Matoaka asked him to stop but he never did.
@@ThiefRikku-dc2cj ohh that's.. Annoying 😂
What really bugs me about the Pocahontas movie is that she was a 12 year old when they met and he was 20 something. She brought his colony food and clean water and seeds. (They’d never thank her, by the way, they’d thank god.) Her tribe was not going to kill John Smith, I don’t quite remember what they were going to do, but they weren’t going to harm him in any way. There was no romance between them at all. They only ever interacted because of her giving him food and shit. He was kinda the leader of his colony, and he ordered them not to hurt the natives, but then he died and they kidnapped a few, Pocahontas being one of them. She was raped and then thrown onto a ship to London. She was then sold. After a few more years she came back to America to find her whole tribe was dead because the colonists had purposely given them blankets that were infected with smallpox so they could kill them all. The Disney story is very inaccurate.
The fact that I already watched Pochohontas 2 but forgot it existed
🤣🤣🤣🤣
*"Quasimodo, there's more to me!"* is the most narcissistic line you could say at that moment 😂😂
This video made me realise I’ve seen Mulan 2 and I didn’t even know
The hunchback of notredome sequel feels like a fanfiction from wattpad written in 2015 by a 12 year old girl who watched the original movie, developed a creepily large crush on Quasimodo and then made a self insert mary-sue who is his new love interest. And the story is complete with bad villain oc’s next gen kids for all her ships and a predictable story.
His fascination with the oddities of the second pocahontas movie is kinda cracking me up. It's like he doesn't know that both films are based on true events, on the lives of people who existed. And yes, Matoaka, or Pocahontas as we know her from Disney, was married to the man John Rolfe after she was captured and forced to convert to christianity by colonists. John Smith was one of the first colonists to visit and interact with her tribe and he was known for writing sensational stories about his journeys, including one about a little native girl who seemed to follow him around like a little puppy. And yes, Pocahontas did visit London... and died there. His acting like he doesn't know this part of history, stuff we learn in like elementary school in the states, is just adorable. Do they not teach about the colonization and genocide of indigenous American peoples in London?
"I hate doing outros because I'm so awkward"

The villain in Hunchback 2 looks like the bastard child of Frodo from the first Hunchback and Snape from Harry Potter. I just can't unsee it.
Mulan II is better than the live action remake. This is not up for debate.

And here is Atlantis 2 which is basicly bunch of random stories created out of nowhere, glued into movie and few Kida&MIlo at atlantis scenes.
I didn't even know there was a sequel-
Legit loving that he references Ryan George AND Danny/Drew
Title: the Mulan sequel that shouldn't exist.
First 6 minutes: Pocahontas 2
-What?
And then hunchback for another few. I thought I was clicking on the wrong video 😂
and the next several minutes were about Huntchback of Notre Dame 2, and only the last 7 minutes were actually about Mulan 2
Apparently Disney is unaware that at a certain height falling into water is like hitting concrete and all your bones would shatter instantly and you’d sink like a stone. They’re dead, Disney. They! Are! All! Dead!
Can we just take a moment to contemplate the fact that the majority of Disney deaths are caused by the characters falling from somewhere (mostly villains)? So what exactly is their message here? If you're a good guy and you fall from an extreme height, you'll survive, but if you're the bad guy... well, tough luck, your bones probably shattered! 🤣
