I noticed most of your videos contain Ravens and their calls. The American indigenous tribes believe the Raven is is a powerful figure that brought them fire and light! Very fitting!

I love the peacefull sites you found to camp. I really like how quite are you videos. I found them so relaxing, but I can't help smiling with your coffee-morning-thumbs-up, no because is funny but the complicity because I Know the feeling of a warm coffee when your hiking in the middle of nowhere.

Not only have I been enjoying your video's for quite sometime, you have "inspired" me to make thing's a little easier on myself. In the past, I typically used a steel rod and striker for fire starting. Sometime's, it worked first couple of strike's, and probably just as often, it would take a bit more effort. After watching a few of your video's, I realized that just a good ole box of matches would be hard to beat. I still carry the rod as back-up, but "just a good ole box of matches" is now my go-to method.👍 Be well Erik. Happy trails! Roger

At the start of the video there are two birds in the lower right of the screen. On a small phone I thought my screen had broken... LOL... I love your videos, even when they induce stress!
It is always a question of discussion whether or not you have to include the weight of the trekking poles in tents like the Tarptent Notch. If you completely do without it, like Erik did when building up it with branches today, the tent will be really light. (The same applies to the not used ul titanium extra durable super expensive special snow pegs.)
What a lot of space.. I thought you had a nice balmy spring but no. fog and cold wind again.
You do put a lot of trust in that stick!

I like Erik's approach to firewood. He uses whatever is already felled, small or big. I like to think that this is the closest to what our ancestors would have done. Why waste energy to make pretty looking firewood?

Tackar! Jag gissar att det börjar vara svårt att färdas på snön där nu? Jag hade tänkt mig en inlandstur till veckan men det ser ut att bli varmt.
Erik Normark ja det är ”klobbföre” nu. Men det beror ju lite på vilka skidor du har och var du ska gå. Igår gick jag en 4km sväng tvärs genom skogen med snöskorna här i Sarvasåive och det gick ändå ganska bra. Blir det minusgrader på natten så har du ju skare på morgonen också. Vart hade du tänkt fara?
