These guys are definitely real metal craftsmen. Some of the stuff they do by hand is phenomenal to say the least. I can only imagine what the associated cost is.

@@beamboy07 I was thinking the same thing. If that's a rare MG-C model, might have a different motor. And even if it's a 'common' mg motor, would still be pretty hard to find, and you could easily make a few dollars selling online or local ads etc
@@jahnperez5060 not really, the MGBs that came with a V8 used the Land Rover engine, which is essentially the same as a Buick V8, and a 3800 V6 minus two pistons. There are pieces of them everywhere because they came in countless cars.

Yes, you can clearly see the 8 intakes and @ 2:18 they mention they put in a built Chevy 6.2 engine, which is based on a Small Block LS 3 platform I think ?

He ain’t lying about the handling. My first car was a 1980 MGB with the overdrive switch, top speed (flat land) was about 55-58 mph….pedal all the way down! AWESOME car, especially being young and 20 minutes from the beach, but that car would spin out dangerously easy.
That thing was broken then, I remember driving my dad's early MG B, 4+OD and getting indicated 100mph on a decent downhill straight. 90 on the flat.
I had an MGB. They handled awesome. The MGC didn’t handle so well because the engine was two cylinders bigger but not pushed back farther. There is no room for that. This motors a V-8. The MGB also had a V-8 at 3.5 L aluminum Buick block. This V-8 is sitting too far forward like the six cylinder was. Kinda ruins the handling. No matter what you do to the suspension it’s still not gonna handle as well with the engine sitting too far forward. Put it back where it should and it’ll handle like a Corvette and then kick it fast because it weighs 1000 pounds less.
Did you not see the fact they rebuilt and changed the whole suspension system? And would obviously have put the engine as far back and low as possible? Can guarantee this car handles better than any MGB you have ever driven.

i really don't know what you looking for, the back of the motor is already kicking the firewall, and the bottom, is already down of the old one, the main difference of perspective is that the new block it's bigger, and the cover expands up, so makes the sensation that it's higher, but if you look the supports it's already back and low all the way...
@@ignacioalanis7119 for real this as well as the fact that, that four link plus the wheel base setup now which is way wider then the original mgc it will handle the ls well

I love the car, but I hate that they always start with really clean survivors or restos. Especially in this case. Why start with an actual mgc which is extremely rare, if you’re going to replace everything that made it an mgc? Could have started with an MGB gt which has the same body for a fraction of the initial cost.
Buy a clean shell if all you’re going to use is a shell. Don’t ruin a complete car. But that’s just my opinion

I guess I’ll have to find the rest of this. I have a MG. It’s more of a rat rod and sits on a ‘57 Chevy frame but the MG is still there somewhere. I am a big guy and it’s a tight fit. I need to know how they made room for someone as big as him to fit at all. My grandpa and his brother built mine when I was a kid. They are both much smaller than me.

It's quite possible that LS weighs less than the stock six. Sixties British sports car engines were mostly adapted from big sedans or small lorries, had old-fashioned thick-wall cast-iron blocks, and were HEAVY suckers.
1.8 liter. Probably 100 lbs lighter. I have both an LS and an MG. LS is best bang for your buck cheap horsepower

Vary few other custom shops build their own frames for their builds and etc .
There isn't a custom part Bill or his guys can't build .
