I've just found a roman bracelet in my garden a few hours ago. You need to get over here now!👌💯👍💚💛❤️
Also I uploaded a video of it
If it cost more than $2.49 I'd be surprised. Gas shot up to 75.9 cents a gal. And we had an energy crises. I remember it very well. Really cool to see something from back then, still in it's original packaging.👍✌
Imma sound really old but wtf is discord ?
You don't need to apologize enjoy your time and family and the things in your life that you're dealing with I'm just super happy to see you back
I agree
Yup
Yes they did use that type of shrink wrap, my model kits from that time period looked exactly the same, I still have a couple that are 50 years old I never opened and it's the same.
pretty sure someone opened that bag before you, took the gold and re-shrink-wrapped it. i work in an aspect of retail that had dealt with shrink wrap for years... unless it was vacuum sealed no way does wrap last 50 years
My thoughts exactly
I mean Pokemon card booster shrink, Japanese first run is almost 30 years and holds up.
Just depends on how it has been stored.
I’m pretty sure the whole package is a replica. The paper in the booklet isn’t right for 1974.
Glad to see you back!
No need to apologize. Sometimes life happens or your other channel takes priority. I really enjoy all of you videos from real prospecting in the river to bags at home and the yard sales videos. Can't wait for the next video.
This has got to be the coolest little bag of Paydirt. The packaging and little panning guide was so neat.
Me and my boys just recently bought the beginners kit from you Klesh and we are loving it. My oldest loves watching your videos! Keep up the great content!
I’m so glad you’re back and panning! You’re my favorite prospecting UA-camr! Pauly is a close second but you’re so wholesome and I love it
You got a pan, literature, & dirt for $50. Fun content thanks for sharing
So glad you are back! Hope you enjoyed family time! It’s important to balance job and family!!
Seems to me like someone got into your Sourdough Joe bag and took out all o' yer gold!! That wrapper is waaaay too new to be true!
I kinda agree with others and say that box could be a scam. not only the plastic wrapping but the font style in the manual seems more like it was digitally printed from a computer in the 90's/2000's using newer fonts vs the printing style of the 70's
Really missed these videos, thanks for giving us another
I did some panning last week with some cheap paydirt. I've watched your videos for years. I forgot to put jet dry the micro gold was floating 😂. Love your paydirt. Thank you
Great to see a video from you. I would have been a 6 year old living just outside Denver when they made this product. The panning pan in the box is like the ones I used with my dad in the mountains. Thanks Klesh.
That was a suspiciously early use of plastic wrap, I think. I am 10 years older than that box, and I don't remember things like it BEING plastic wrapped ever, until many years later.
I'll 'echo' a few others: gold or no gold, I just enjoy watching your videos. Thank you.
no way they used that kind of wraps all then years ago .. way too clean
The shrink wrap looks too good for 1974.
Heck yeah. Gold panning time!
Scam. The seller has opened it and panned the pay dirt. Filled it back up and resealed it
Great to see you back, Shane. Interesting video, as usual. YDM! 🤗
what's up Klesh? just checking on you. thank you again for what you do... I'll always remember your influence helped me through a tough time!!!! Thank You!!!!
Again I like how you present this as a hobby, and as something that people can do with their kids. I like that you do not present this as a get rich scam or something like that.
I love these vintage paydirt examinations. I hope you can find more old ones!
i can imagine parrents gave them to the kids, like the chemistry sets back in the day
Either way gold or no gold it was a great video Shane I really enjoy these videos . Any gold video’s I’m in whether it’s 50 yr old pay dirt or sluicing gold from a river I enjoy it Shane. I just really wish all the negative energy in the comments section would just take chill pill .
Dude I haven't had your videos recommend in like 4 or 5 months. But I glad this popped up.
same here! great to see you again Klesh
Dont worry about your videos. I always check if you have a new upload and if not i watch some old videos again. Keep it up. Thank you for the entertainment.
Been so long since I watched you! Thanks for keeping going on!
I have seen toys etc NOS that looked as good as it did when it was new. Usually they were found in stores that were closed for years and years that families inherited and cleaned out the building. You see it quite a bit in shows like American Pickers. Usually a dead give away something is fairly new is the usual bar code on a box. I doubt some sellers who box or package their stuff for sale thru themselves do not have to bar code. Very cool find IMO glad you decided to try and keep it mint.
So I think what happened is they opened it up, paned the gold out dried it up and put it back. got it shrink wraped. then sold it on ebay for 50 buks
You would think after 50 years, those specks would have grown a little bigger....🤔 🤣🤣🤣
always enjoying your videos after a hard day with a toddler its really relaxing and calm... so the total opposite to the household right now ^^
That was funny! Great job anyway Shane. Keep the videos coming!
Love these vintage videos!
Awesome video thanks for sharing klesh
Great video. Love the old time paydirt.
Eureka Yeee Haaa..
Have a great weekend Shane.
Cheers Tony..👍⛏️
LMAO Shane I just turned 50 , I wouldn't consider myself Vintage 🤣🤣🤣 Great vlog as always big guy .
Hey, I have an alternative point of view!
Perhaps someone (original owner or prior owners) already panned the gold and then sold it off as an antique?
Right on bro can't wait to get up to Colorado and pan my own gold
I Do love the music change when crusty rusty mentions and appears ❤😊
Glad to see more videos
Yep , pretty darn cool 🙌👍 , I might try to Google Ol Sourdough Joe 😊 . Sure this was just a novelty item someone picked up on vacation somewhere 😊 Enjoyed the show man ! ✌️🇺🇸
Considering how old the product was, I wasn't expecting to see a lot of gold. But it was still fun to watch you pan it out.
I'm pretty sure there was no such crimp seal film in -74. Cellophane was the rage then. It was cleaned out ages ago. (Im born -73 so I'm antient to)
You're so ancient you used the ancient word 'antient' to show how ancient you are 😮
yup and this loser thinks ultra clear perfect fit film is passable too. american idiot
You payed for paydirt, no harm no foul😂❤
Wow... great video!! You never know what you will get✅️😁
As an educational kit I guess it works. If you can find those microscopic pieces of gold in this pack you could say your panning skills are reasonably ok. You do get a gold pan and instructions so you could go out to a stream and use the skills you learned. The other lesson you can take from this is 'buyer beware'...
I was hoping to see more especially after going through all that just to get that gold!😊
Very cool video thanks for sharing
Best wishes
There's nothing like a good old Klesh gold panning video.
Hey Shane, my son and I are putting together a paydirt bag for you. It will have all types of goodies (gold, crystals, gemstones etc). My son is really excited and we just need to know how to get it to you, like a po box or however you get your fan mail. Oh, and also gonna include some concentrates from the Crater of Diamonds here in arkansas, so maybe you'll even find a diamond because I haven't gone through those cons
That awkward moment when he said it was 50 years old and my brain wanted to argue that 1974 was only @ 30 years ago
I don't think you were the first to carefully open this. I suspect that someone opened it, got the Gold and resealed the package. That also explains the newer cellophane wrap.
Crusty rusty seems to be looking like a a new pan these days 👌👍😂💚💛❤️
Finally, welcome to your channel 😂💪
Love your videos. ❤️
Maybe you should re-assemble this but salt the bag with extra “bonus” gold. Then auction it off for wounded warriors or some other charity of your choosing.
Now imagine trying to find those tiny specks in that silver/gray flat sided pan they gave you.
Youve been had by ol sour dough joe
Thanks for sharing with us.
Just caught your video on a wim. But cool 😎. Great video
I believe the paydirt my folks got me as a kid when we were on vacation in the mid 80s in Montana was sourdough joes as well. Only paydirt besides yours ive ever done! There was like 5 lil flakes i think (not yours).
Thanks for the video :) I really appreciate your content. I was thinking about showing the panning process additionally from another angle - from the side. This way we could see how you move the pan up-down.
Doubt these bags were even seeded back then, just some guy scraping sand off the ground into bags, lol
That black VK6 is a sweet guitar... Would be a great piece to add in any collection!
Hey Klesh, I just wanted to say thank you for your u tube videos. I have learned a lot about panning and prospecting and have always been happy and satisfied with your paydirt products.
That’s a pretty awesome find
Very interesting, I would definitely repackage it and mount it on the wall , a great find even though it didn’t have much gold , peace ✌️
I was wondering just the other day where you’d gone. I almost messaged you to see if rusty was ok😂. Great video, thanks for posting it on here.
Yep still here churning out a few vids a month as usual on both channels, YT does like to stop recommending videos to subscribers sometimes
@@Klesh very true but I’ve been catching up. Also I’ve been watching the longer version of your old videos again. Very therapeutic.
Seeing what the material looked like. It looked like more of an ore crush especially with all the quartz you saw. But that metal pan was NICE!! Talk about old school!!
Wow I think we all expected a bit more than that lol 😂😂😂
Straight outta the gold rich parking lot of the local cement plant.
Wow, you called my age... Funny, I don't acknowledge my age, but for my aching joints. Fifty year old pay dirt! That was fun. Loved the panning out. I wonder how it would pan out using the pan and instructions from the kit.
Great job 🤘🏼
Always make great videos
The box and pamphlet were cool, but I was shocked that there was not even a flake in there.
So, basically, you got a vintage “toy” of interest to you/us for under $60. Well worth it. Besides, they are $125 and higher right now, so you got a great deal. Thanks for sharing it with us!
So much fun great stuff history wise
Could you imagine how many people got disappointed in buying that little kit back in the 70s.
googled and found another one on eBay for $125 in exact same perfect condition, Hmmm?
Chances of 2 surviving in that condition and for sale at roughly the same time 50 years later.
Big fat zero.
YOU GOT JIPPED🤣
There are quite a a few of those kits available online.
I love all ur adventures. Let's go. I do hope I win that guitar.
Working 2 shows will keep you busy lol
I sure want to spend a week or two in Colorado. Soon I hope.
I have a set kinda like this from the late
1950’s-1960’s I did have it in the original box which also came with a gold pan and I had it for years sadly we had a flood which ruined the box and pan became rusted almost in a few days but I did save the tube of pay dirt…
nice scam they got going. those new printed boxes and fake seals got you
Oh wow that's rad!
Love the vintage
Cool to watch though. Thank you!
14:10 - 14:13 Did I see a gold speck jump off the pan? The "Yeah, we're done panning it off" right after would be ironic 😅
Looks like yellow stone, but I need someone more experienced to tell me
Well that's how it goes, sometimes you find it sometimes you don't. A true experience of the life of gold prospecting.
Beautiful
Fun video, but I suspect that you'd get more from a $6 bag of Quikrete sand.
We were better off with the Sea Monkey and "Crystal Growing" (aka Magic Rocks) kits back then 😆
They spent all the gold on the packaging :D
I was born in 72. Love that item. I’ll keeep an eye out for one. Wow, no gold? I would have expected a lot more back when gold was cheaper…
