To all those asking what the product is, I'm guessing she is using lye (AKA oven cleaner). In my country lye can no longer be sold like that for home use and can only be purchased as a spray can. But, you can still buy straight powdered lye that is for unclogging drains and use that for pans. WEAR GLOVES when useing lye for anything! Do NOT use lye on aluminum pans though, only steel, as it will ruin aluminum. Instead try using tomato juice as the acidity can break up the discolouration. Cream of tartar also cleans aluminum.

It's bull crap. I use comet. I put some water comment and make a paste of it. I wet under pot then spread the comet paste on the lat about five napkins on it n cover with Saran wrap for a out 20 to 30 minutes . Remove it after than scrub with a sponge scrubber then rinse it's all gone That works for me. Smiles

I was just thinking about a clean frying pan I used to fry some eggs. A chef said crack the eggs in a bowl so you don’t have egg running down the side of the pan. I quit doing that so my pans had a little soul. Cast iron takes a lot of work any way you look at it but anything else nope. @@mirianlliquin3311idk about OP, but here in the States, "Easy Off Oven Cleaner" is a very reputable brand for this purpose. a less harsh method, or better yet, the 2nd step after Easy Off to get it looking close to new is "Bar Keepers Friend".
For all those wondering about the product you can use any oven cleaner or kitchen cleaner like Mr Muscle or Cif cream. Please always use gloves and follow safety guidelines 😅
