I did grow in that era, shit was awesome, it was mostly Sci Fi, mecha anime, cause the 2000 was near and everyone was expecting a HUGE leap on technology.
IDW is done as a company, and their Transformers comics turning into really bad fanfic continuations seem to have hurt it. Of course Dreamwave wasn’t much better but it seemed to want to do takes on the Japanese shows before Pat Lee ran off with all the money. Seeing them trying to reconcile Optimus Prime proper with Masterforce would have been a lot preferable to Revolution.
Yeah. Star Saber and Deathsaurus/Deszaras would be fun to see done well in other Transformers media. I know I've had a Transformers idea where the two of them are prominent commanders in the Autobot and Decepticon militaries, and naturally keeping them as rivals.

I remember living in the Dominican Republic in 1992 as a kid and this was the version I remember watching in spanish. This intro brought back so many memories. The kids would sing this exact song.

This series (Victory) gets a bad rep because, unlike most of Transformers series, it's very unidimensional, linear and Starsaber is a Gary Stu (too damn perfect, he almost never struggles, dull personality). Sure, the animation is good but it's hard to follow a series when the main char has very little growth and the rest of the cast is too dependent on him.

For the most part that is true. However, there are a small handful of good English openings. Personally, I prefer the English version of "We Are" over the Japanese version.
This series’ music is as generic as it gets though. The American theme is hundreds of times better and is absolutely iconic. Another instance in which an international version of an anime theme song is superior is “Mysterious Cities of Gold”, which has the most incredible electronic synth score, whereas the Japanese version is generic rock guitar that is immediately forgettable. Like John Williams vs. a junior high school student in first-year music.

Rayearth was voiced by Star Saber in Magic Knight Rayearth and the Rayearth characters recently appeared in SRW T. Anything can happen. Optimus Prime's G1 seiyuu voiced Selece in Rayearth. Yeah,Optimus Prime as a blue dragon. I'll let that sink in.
I grew up watching this series. It had an amazing dub in (albeit a bit weird) Latin American Spanish (it mixed American Spanish with European mannerisms). The animation and music was superb.
Such a high energy transformers show with a catchy theme to boot.Last year i pick it up on dvd and watched it finally.Out of the three japanese transformers i've watched,i think victory is the best one.Such a shame it never aired in the u.s. Plus,now i wished i backed that crowd funding hasbro had last year for a star saber toy.
This is how you do an intro to a tv show. I believe an intro is perfect when it introduces the villains in a very menacing way, such as awesome pose or musical cue

If the 2021 rider season had actually been Kamen Rider Victory, and also a sequel to V3, then you could basically just use this opening and swap out “transformers” for “Kamen Rider”.
It was dubbed. As far as I know, links to the dubs are non-existent, and you probably wouldn't want it anyway as the dubs are like the ones you'd find in a typical 70's Kung-Fu Movie. Furthermore, the names of the characters were different from the original Japanese audio (Jinrai for example, was addressed as Optimus Prime, despite the fact that it's not exactly the same Autobot).
not really, its a combination of 'tron' and 'destroy', i worked it out anyway, its because the japanese say it as 'de-su-tu-ro-n' so the lipsync wouldn't match up if they were destrons here, so the name had to be made longer
Victory Saber is half ginrai, since victory Leo is made from God Ginrai. Star Saber and Ginrai is a comrade, friend type relationship. God Ginrai took a direct hit for Star Saber, and he was deactivated, later according to his own wish, to be made into a warrior that can fight against destrons(Japan decepticons), and Wheeljack and Perceptor was appointed to the job and got him into Victory Leo. Ginrai however, serves as a vague connection to "Convoy" aka Japan Optimus prime. He uses a transtector, that was built for Optimus to be revived on. But even after the separation, it seems that their plan of reviving optimus failed, what they get is only God Ginrai. A bit sad, but... Can't be helped. Until all are one.

I had a bootleg VHS of this show which had made its way from Japan some how and I ended up watching it as a 7 year old and being super confused about what was going on and why I couldnt understand a word they said but I loved the opening
What I really wonder is, if he really only appeared in this show and never again, how the heck Star Saber managed to become so freaking popular in Japan.

In the Japanese continuity, it is part of G1. G1 didn't officially end, until the release of the Operation Combination toyline in 1992.
