Part of it too is that if has to sell those assets to pay the fine, then those assets will be taxed at the top tax bracket for real estate and hard assets. What is more ironic is he will never get close to the amounts that he said they were worth 10 years ago. It is a complete and total fail as a business man.

Agreed because if you defund them it's going to be harder for them to become a dictator if they only made 17 an hour and they had to fight for 40 hours a week they wouldnt be able to do anymore damage to the community.
In order for them to make changes you have to make them see what you go through they don't care until it happens to them. So make them experience it. It's one of there worst fears too because they would probably have to sleep in there trucks down by the river. So I don't know why they think they can re run if they're having that much legal trouble. Could they even afford to run? Something definitely isn't adding up.

What would DJT’s prospects of securing any sort of role in political high office be, if he were to be inactive from politics for half a dozen years?
Would he be taking his interviews from a tent as he would have to sell Mar-e-Lago?
Could he still attract a young pretty wife such as Melania, given he will also be 90 by then?

Criminal Defendant Trump is prone to revenge, certainly, which is always an illustration of his having made his situation worse all on his own, but he lashes out at anyone nearby. He's lived his disturbed, and fraud filled life on a steady diet of hamburders and revenge.
What he's facing now is accountability. Which, again, is based on his own actions. If you suppose he will try to get revenge for facing his justice... what does that mean to you? How do you consider punishment for crimes committed as something someone would try to get revenge?

What he did was so significant, he froze legitimate players out of the market. Banks and insurers have limited underwriting capacity tied to their capital. They get a higher multiple on that capital base by underwriting quality assets. This in turn opens up doors for others. It was a crime against good faith actors AND the economy. It is NOT a wrist slapper.

So in Judge Engoron’s Court, he would have to put up a CASH bond equal to the $354M plus the interest that it has accumulated. And to appeal Judge Kaplan’s verdict on the Carroll case, he would need to put up an $83M and a $5M CASH bond in order to file his first appeal.

I had a pension and found out a portion of the money taken out of my checks wasn't in my account. If my boss had just restored the value right away, probably nothing would have happened. Instead, he lied about it and made excuses for over a year. Long story short, we unionized, and in that process, the Board found out there was WAAAYYY more shady stuff that had been going on. His arrogance thinking he could bully me instead of just saying, "oh! We checked it out, and you're right!" and restored it, probably none of the rest would have been discovered.
