I may be very wrong on this-but if you wish to appeal a verdict in Civil Court-I THINK you have to put up a bond equal to your penalties. So in Judge Engoron’s Court, he would have to put up a CASH bond equal to the $354M plus the interest that it has accumulated. And to appeal Judge Kaplan’s verdict on the Carroll case, he would need to put up an $83M and a $5M CASH bond in order to file his first appeal. Add to that the taxes owed to city, state and federal taxes when his assets are sold (at fire sale pricing). Feeding frenzy for billionaire piranhas. $1.5 billion is just the start.

Such a good interview. Thank you. The idea that hiding things only makes people more curious and more determined to find out is so true and resonates with me. I had a pension and found out a portion of the money taken out of my checks wasn't in my account. If my boss had just restored the value right away, probably nothing would have happened. Instead, he lied about it and made excuses for over a year. Long story short, we unionized, and in that process, the Board found out there was WAAAYYY more shady stuff that had been going on. His arrogance thinking he could bully me instead of just saying, "oh! We checked it out, and you're right!" and restored it, probably none of the rest would have been discovered. revenge? for whom?
Criminal Defendant Trump is prone to revenge, certainly, which is always an illustration of his having made his situation worse all on his own, but he lashes out at anyone nearby. He's lived his disturbed, and fraud filled life on a steady diet of hamburders and revenge.
What he's facing now is accountability. Which, again, is based on his own actions. If you suppose he will try to get revenge for facing his justice... what does that mean to you? How do you consider punishment for crimes committed as something someone would try to get revenge?
Justice isn't revenge...

My stomach churns at those types of numbers in CASH bonds.
My current understanding is that he managed to come up with the $5M for Carroll I, but still hasn't done anything for Carroll II: $83.3M needed...
That is right....and if he doesn't come up with it, he won't be able to appeal, so will have dug himself further into the huge hole he has dug for himself with his mouth....;)@@sterlinglewis5700
The courts gave him 30 Days to come up with the money(453.5 million) to be put in one of the courts bank accounts so it can be monitored .And interest on that amount comes to about 1 million dollars per week. Once the millions are in the courts account trump can appeal the decision.
Yes he can appeal but what is not being said his others are looking in to his use of bankruptcies to avoid paying debts and and defrauding people such as contractors to build hotels. If they find out he lied during bankruptcy procedings he is looking at all of those debt being over turned and prison time

We know that the IRS broke the law multiple times -- it's legally obligated to annually audit the presidolt, and it did not do this. It's also a crime for the IRS to audit the presidolt's political enemies, yet it did that twice... most likely at donald the dump's behest, but the office of the inspector general covered that up, which probable means that those two illegal audits were done at the dump's behest, otherwise the inspector general would have had no reason to bury that bit.

He was forced to resign. Crooks can be really dumb.
