Does that mean that my age will prohibit me from acquiring BTC? *Heck no!* Once I figured it out (Those monetary theory courses from the seventies finally paid off.), I went for it with everything fiat that I could scrape together. Very well explained with some very good points and tend to agree , probably why there’s no capital gains on your main property as an incentive to buy ( UK ) .
Or another option is to live at home with your family in the family home for as long as possible whilst accumulating enough cash tho buy outright.
Or as a parent gift the property/ put in trust so your children don’t even have to get a mortgage. This breaks the chain within a generation of the constant. ‘ go to school / get a job / get a mortgage’ cycle.
If you already own a home when your young then there’s no need for a mortgage!!
Also it all depends when you are born and it’s timing with planned periodic recessions , this can be seriously detrimental to your whole life as f you buy in young and as most unaware of the financial scams forced on the masses

Without buying anymore crypto, my BTC hodlings are now 80% of my net worth. I have a modest business income that is sufficient to meet my daily living expenses including rent.

So as long as you wouldn't be financially stressed if it's value dropped I'd certainly buy. The real estate vs. Bitcoin debate sparks crucial conversations about rethinking money and investment strategies. While real estate has traditionally been viewed as a stable investment due to its tangible assets and potential for rental income, it's essential to consider its value in a deflationary Bitcoin system. In such a system, where the purchasing power of Bitcoin increases over time, real estate's value may be reevaluated. This prompts us to reconsider traditional notions of wealth preservation and explore alternative avenues for financial growth. The debate highlights the need for individuals to broaden their perspectives and adapt to the changing landscape of finance and investment in the digital age.

Bold statement. Real estate is real and everyone needs somewhere to live. Not everyone needs Bitcoin. However, it has its limits- and there are risks involved. why not just mix it up? BTC Gold and Real Estate. That would be my take.

I think buying a property as your own residence is good. Why pay exuberant rents that rise with inflation. The loan you take to buy your own home becomes nothing after ten years as inflation pumps it away. As an investment, there are too many outgoing costs to choose property over Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the ultimate investment. So much so, that I am surprised at how undervalued it is. Anything under 100KUSD is a fire sale. So buy more Bitcoin is the underlying message.

Great points! I currently hold BTC and agree with your statements! QUESTION: I plan on moving me and my family into a home. Do I spend $6k a month on a California rental or purchase a house? I heard, “rent where you live”… but throwing away $6k a month seems a bit costly.
    Thank you!

I am 52. Own a rental. It is a little bit of a pain. Most of my profit gets spent keeping the house up to date and fixing things that go wrong with the house. Tax breaks are nice, owning an LLC, Its a learning process. The banks are ingrained too, when they want to lend you money. They like to see you making money on something. Bill Gates owns the most land.

buying landed property still not that bad compared to buying a property up in the air ... but ultimately i get the point, property is subjected to the many laws of each country, hard to sell when u need money and u have to spend money to maintain it. And dont forget, headache from tenants u will definitely get.

Property is the most common inflation hedge.
Most people who own property don't realise that is the function it is performing, but that is what it's doing.
The problem is it is a ponzie and taxes go up with the value.

I forwarded this video to a buddy who backed out of an inked commercial deal that would have given him lifetime income in 2021... he opted for BTC because it was on fire, Tesla had just bought... we know what's happened since... today he works a 9-5 consulting job... he said it's the toughest thing that's ever happened to him financially... He could be developing that property the last two years instead and DCAing. He said there's no going back at this point I hope he makes it mentally, he's been struggling with that decision.

How can they control the price of a property, if your rental property has a 30-year fixed loan. I also make cash flow on that property. Bitcoin doesn't make cash flow. I have some Bitcoin, and it's down 16% so far since I've owned it. But I'm holding it for the long term. I know property, I can hold it, get cash flow, as the price of the property goes up because of inflation. Bitcoin can't do that
