Straight up 🔥! I think we are definitely deserving of a revisit to the Jason Fox farm. I want to see a detailed walk through of his newest display mancave area.
Did you dip them off camera or do you trust vendors like this? Also, after covid-times do you plan to have open house, seminars, classes etc in your gallery? Would love to check it out being just up the highway.
Hi, I was wondering about corals acclimatization. You are draining water from all bags into one container, and puts all corals together. I was learnt that we should slowly acclimate corals, so I was leaving them in the bag, and then acclimatizing all separate. Is it safe to do it as you are doing? Even with some echinata/carduus acropora?
@@ReefBuildersVideo Thank you for your reply, it will save me a lot of time :) So there is no need to acclimate corals, but fishes, crabs, shrimps still need it right?
Had no idea you didn't need to aclimate corals, I'm new to this hobby and half the video show floating then drip acclimation and other say not to, and if they are successful not doing it then I will go with the not aspect. thanks for the info, and great vids!
Those frags are really nice looking and a very nice size, not sure if he gave you larger frags than he would send to a non you tube baller, lol, but honestly he has and I always tell him when I see him at frag shows ,is that his frags look the best compared to any vendor, so nicely colored up, and they shine, I’m asking about the size because I purchased a bunch from other vendors on Black Friday , and those came in like the size of a small fingernail, totally disappointing, if I had saw them in person , I would t have purchased them for the price they were asking! Thing is that when they glue those small frags on the smallest frag plug available, they look larger than they really are, I mean the diameter of the disk is the extra small size!!
Will the different stylos sting each other? Can I make a "stylo garden" and they will grow around each other? I've been wanting to see that enchanted forest in an aquarium. sometimes I just can't trust the photos. Thanks for the video.
I love Jason fox I live in Nyc and know he’s not to far next state over wish I had the money to buy his coral love his stuf.. love the stylo’s also bless u Jason fox one day I’ll have something from you
The thing is Jason Fox grows ... ahem blasts ... his corals with blue LEDs which tend to cause a color shift, where as in Indonesia where the corals are actually grown in the wild they tend to use natural sunlight because it's "free" which doesn't give the corals quite the same coloration.
@@ReefBuildersVideo Okay, aging LED are a issue which I am not familiar. Did you have a light spectrum measurement which you can compare with the present ligth spectrum? Or maybe can you do a spectrum measurement and just talk a little bit about? I guess a lot of people would be interested. I also know you replaced the LED of your Illumagic. Maybe you can take some measurement, if it not to late...?
Ok you're making me feel like an odd ball, because I absolutely love stylos & poccis. Especially the really knobby stylos that grows into a big mass o' coral. That said, I think JF knew he was getting a commercial spot here since some of those frags you have were larger than the pictures he showed on his site! 🤣
Why is it that I spend money every time I watch one of your videos???. Maybe I should unsubscribe...JK...I love all your videos and just writing unsubscribe gave me palpitations... LOL
Can we get a updated tour of Jason's facility when everything gets back to normal?
Jason Fox, he is a great guy and a master at what he does.

I love Steve Garretts Acropolis, that would be a great idea for a vid, a tour of his outdoor farm. Always loved his Acropora Cytherea.

Jake do you dip your corals when they come from reputable vendors like Jason Fox or do they go straight in the tank?
hi jake. any updates on your redsea max nano tank?! for the nano guys. i believe you started that tank a year ago now?
I’m always learning something new from this channel! Love it!
Great video. I never spend any time acclimating sps. I may dip them but I like to get them into my reef tank ASAP.
I love opening boxes from Jason Fox 🦊
Those are all Bangers IMO, great care package you received there jake !

yes no problem, you don't need to acclimate corals but you do want to inspect them and perhaps dip before adding to your tank

Great vid, and I love the corals. What is the name of your background music
Have you done an update on these corals yet?
Thank you for the video, learned so much
Great video Jake. Love your T-shirt
Super nice unboxing!

That little new frag tank is such a great idea and to my knowledge most don't have one.
I added the Enchanted Forest and Bug Out stylos to my tank a few months ago for the very same reasons!
Is there a permit or collector you have to work with in order to collect and export your own corals? lol
Fantastic as always.
You have a big colony of the project x styli yet?
Are all stylos easy to keep?
Frankie is the man. Love visiting his dungeon.
Did you dip these?
Growth progress video on these?
disposable scalpel makes short work of those wrapped bands.

Gorgeous Corals!💜
What is that frag box(clear with rack in bottom) you used to open all the frags into? Is that a retail product?
Lee’s critter keeper with egg rate cut to fit
@@ReefBuildersVideo aw cool cool. Ty! I might try to make something similar
Wow. Those are sick!! 🔥🔥🔥
Wish more people would reiterate the fact of not needing to acclimate corals. I see it ALL THE TIME on UA-cam.

yes you can mix and match the pocilloporidae with out fear or aggression, but poccis and birdnest will outgrow all Stylos except the Milka

Hey Jake if all corals were brown would you still keep them?
yes of course, but it's nice to find beauty in corals outside of colors as well
JF = eye-candy 👌
Man I need a tank. Those are so dope
Psycho favia is one of my favorite favias.
nice, love the corals
cant wait to see those under blues
DDDDDDOOOOOOPPPPPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the vid ur awesome I always learn a lot thanks peace
Cool beans
I hope one day there's LFS like jason fox in Indonesia 😍😍😍

@@Mike__B sadly. Most of the good quality corals are exported😢
@@Mike__B He blasts them with blue T5's not LEDs. Huge difference as even a blue T5 has a very wide spectrum.
Always, this trigger me hard when I see the Kessil light used as a work light :-D
This was an OG 350 used on multiple tanks for years and served two more years of workbench duty before I finally retired it last weekend.

So you go onto reefs and just take what you want under licence ???
Ur serious, I don’t need to float the bag??
Crazy that you don't acclimate corals. It's such a huge part that everybody talks about and says you should do but you make me question it now.
I love this guys style of reefing, it really keeps me from over thinking my own tank.
Other then floating for temp I haven’t acclimated anything Even acros on Jakes advice and so far no mortalities!
