Model A Ford Retorque Snyder's High Compression Head

- After an unfortunate failure of a lower radiator hose clamp, the newly rebuilt Model B engine in our 1931 Model A Ford Woodie Station Wagon overheated in a matter of minutes. I quickly pulled over and called a tow truck to get the ol' gal home and check things out. In this video, I retorque the Snyder's 6.1 High Compression Head before discovering that, thankfully, there was no major damage done to the engine.

To do it correctly they should be backed off an eighth of a turn before tightening.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve read pros/cons of doing it both ways. This is the way I was taught and up until now ( knock on wood) have not had any head gasket issues.
