- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a 3rd person action shooter set 5 years after the events of Arkham Knight. As noted in the title, you'll have to face off against the Justice League who are being mind controlled. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League releases May 26, 2023. Only Deadshot is flying. King Shark is jumping. Harley is swinging. Boomer is using his Boomerang infused with Speed Force. All different gameplay. Harley can use the drone to swing and change direction, using momentum to throw herself in different angles. Like Risk of Rain 2 grapple.

@user-px4li5bc7v No, it is a genuine problem because all the characters feel weightless now. King Shark shouldn't be floating in the sky and landing softly. Without thus weight, the game literally looks like Fortnite.
@@ProcyonNite Laughably false. King Shark shouldn't feel weightless and he doesn't here. He's jumping really high via Super Strength and slamming down on top of enemies. The others do seem more weightless, which makes perfect sense. Go look up Sunset Overdrive so you have a comparison that isn't dogshit.

they needed 8 years for this. That’s longer than the whole Arkham Trilogy took, finished with Arkham Knight, a PS4 game that looks miles better than this.
I mean to be fair the animations look higher quality and more polished than a lot of other games.
@@MusicProposition Ugh you're looking at an awfully compressed video of the game pulled off a livestream of course its going to look bad. Graphics look fine there's clearly more ambition with this game since it has you able to pilot 4 characters and included coop. The Arkham games were much more focused on just being batman which makes it a lot easier to develop a game for compared to getting multiple characters feeling right. The only way Arkham Knight looks better than this game is on a PC with max settings but until suicide squad comes out we wont really know, the art styles are pretty different too.

Move along, this is not the Arkham sequel you're looking for.
I knew it wasn't going to play like the Batman games, because the Suicide Squad is not Batman, but I was expecting character gameplay variety, not just guns. Deadshot is obvious. Harley yes, but with melee options. Captain Boomerang is pretty much Green Arrow with boomerangs. King Shark should just be the melee tank. I'm typing this after watching the saving Luthor gameplay, so maybe it gets brought up later in the video.
So instead of taking the formula they had which made Arkham City a fantastic game, they chose to just make Fortnite?

I think their biggest mistake was waiting so long and provided no details about gameplay before that last trailer so people's expectations were all over the place. It looks fun to me and the story looks great but I see why so many people are suspicious of it

Man, I`m kinda disappointed. The story looks decent and has good humor, but the gameplay......oh boy the gameplay. It feels like the 4 characters share 80% of their moveset and only have a couple special moves that set them apart. It also looks like they all have independent levels and I`m assuming gear as well, which i`ve never been a fan of personally.

Question, uhmm if this is set 5 years after Arkham Knight. Than what's Batman's deal? When they announced Kevin Conroy was doing the voice I was hyped, but I assumed this took place at some point between City and Knight, because Knight (spoilers) ends with Batman being outed as Bruce Wayne, Wayne Mannor blowing up and Batman faking his death.
Idk it feels like there's a whole other Arkham game just to fill in what Batman's been up to since Knight.
I'd imagine he'd be doing the back to basics thing from DKR but seriously.
the more i see of this game the moreless confident i am in it.
The movement seems like fun, and they've put a lot of effort into it, but the combat looks repetative "go to the place and shoot the dudes/glowing weak spot" especially considering batmans combat was so flowing and adjustable with villians adding twists into it,
The story sounds like fun, but it's the evolve/starwars/fallout76/most recent games at the time problem. It has a single player option but that doesn't mean it's a singleplayer game. It's heavily online focused which, i dunno, we'll see how it does when it comes out
Yeah, the game hasnt came out but it already looks like a 7/10
I was thinking one or maybe two characters were going to use guns, but that's not the case. It looks much less interesting this way. And this game will probably have very few puzzles, because none of the characters are detectives. We loved Arkham games from Rocksteady, but who knows if they'll be able to pull this off.
And even the story and tone is going to be completely different from the serious tone everyone loved in Arkham games.
It looks to me like a misstep even if it's a good game. I think they should have just taken the chance and try to make a single player Superman game set in Metropolis. Even if it didn't soar the first time, I think people would have appreciated the effort.

I’m sick of gear deciding how powerful you are in SUPERHERO games. They’re called superheroes for a reason not super-gear heroes. They should start our really powerful and continue that way. It’s happened with avengers, Gotham knights and now suicide squad.
This will be on game pass by august. Unbelievable that this is the same studio that made Arkham.
I don’t understand why they’ve chosen to sabotage this game with the live service model, given the recent success of non-live service superhero games like Spider-Man, and the recent abject failure of live-service superhero games like Avengers and Gotham Knights.
Gotham Knights isn’t live service, but it has its own set of flaws.
Can’t wait for this generic 6/10 to release. What do you guys think? Probably go on sale within 2 months?

There is nothing interesting in a service Game
So instead of each character having their own designated unique weapons to match their personalities they all can be deadshot. Also the enemies from the trailer seem pretty basic.
We literally went from the amazing claustrophobic fights of Arkham Knight to fortnite
So I basically just shoot enemies and glow things no matter who I play as…. And melee is just a different canned execution animation? I am forced to play with bots just to enjoy the story in single-player? Appeal has just about bottomed out for me now.
No one complained that you play with bots to enjoy the story in Gears of War or Marvel Ultimate alliance? Were you seriously expecting the Suicide SQUAD single player to be about playing as a lone wolf? What's your IQ?

No, anthem died because it was INCREDIBLY broken. It was a game with great concepts that it was incapable of actually pulling off

Different play styles but everyone uses guns wish king shark only used his claws and teeth. Harley the bat and joker bombs. Deadshot seemed like his plays and boomerang only his boomerang and speed force which seemed cool

It kinda reminds me of the gunplay of Borderlands mixed with the parkour of Sunset Overdrive.
Genius idea, imma create an army of robotic/mindcontrolled minions and make all their weak points glow bright purple so as to stand out.

Rocksteady just spent all that time trying to not say live service while describing their game as a live service game.
Remember that this presentation was supposed to convince you to buy the game. Remember Gotham Knights? How that presentation was a big bag of "meh"? Yeah, getting that vibe.
Combat quips are fine as long as they are paced out and have some wit to them, this isn't that.
"Just call me the pinball wizard" is neither funny or witty, all modern combat quips are just basically variations of "Booyah" where as with Build engine protagonists they are done to insult/mock enemies, like when Duke says "Makin bacon" after he blows up a Pig-Cop with a pipe bomb is a good witty combat quip.

I really liked their Arkham games. I was looking forward to their new game when they announced it. But yesterday, at best I was just like “hm”. I’m sad.

I'm certainly curious, but man... it's just another co-op GAAS shooter in a sea of games like Destiny, Warframe, and the Division. Really hope this game finds it's footing in a meaningful place

Five years is how long this game should have taken to make after Arkham Knight, not the eight years that have actually passed.
Maybe something happened in between, a shift of direction or something. So far from what I’m seeing I don’t like it.

💯 🔥🔥🔥Suicide Squad… shame. There is absolutely no creativity through a 50hr game when the only difference in enemy variation is there “Health Bar” level or the “stats”on your gun go up. I absolutely hate those games. Almost every Ubisoft game in the last 13 years, and most live service games. (Destiny)
I miss the PS3/360 days where a games only had a less weapons but they were all totally different and changed how the game was played, and tons of enemy variation. MGS4, Dead Space, Onimusha.

Wdym 2, AK was still a decent game just that story trying to open up a new storyline and close it while closing the "joker chapter" it would have been fine without the joker clones and just have batman being the only possible joker clone.

Me too, but It'd be hard to pull off. Their powers are so wildly different, problem with implementing so many gameplay styles is them feeling souless.

As much flak as Arkham Knight got, it still was the best swan song for Arkhamverse Batman. THIS game being last performance we’ll ever see of Kevin Conroy as Batman just feels wrong now. I hope I’m wrong and it actually turns out to be fun, because this gameplay trailer doesn’t look promising.
