WRITTEN EXPLANATION OF TOPICS EXPLAINED IN TOPIC:
1. what is owner's equity in financial accounting ?
The amount of ownership rights or ownership claim that someone has in business is termed as Owner’s Equity (OE). Owner Equity is expressed In terms of Currency (e.g., Dollars, Rs)
1.2 what is owner's equity meaning in urdu / hindi ?
Owner means Maalik and Equity means Haq, so the owner's equity means maalik ka haaq, aapka apna hisa
2. Following types of business ownership are also explained in order to understand why it is difficult to calculate
owner's equity in accounting ?
2.1. Sole proprietorship (One owner)
2.2. Partnership ( no owner, only partners)
2.3. Corporation (everyone is owner and is called shareholder)
3. what is Capital Stock, Capital in financial accounting ?
Capital Stock is also called as Capital, it is the amount invested in business.
4.what is Retained Earnings in financial accounting?
Retained Earnings are the profits left over after income has paid out to partners/shareholders
5. Owner’s Capital (OC)
Owner’s Capital (OC) is sum of Capital Stock /Capital and Retained Earnings
6. what is Net-Income formula in accounting?
Net-Income is Revenue - Expense
7. what are Drawings in business / financial accounting ?
drawings is the amount that you withdraw from business for personal use.
8. what is dividends in business / financial accounting ?
dividends is the amount paid to sharehoulders in corporation business
9. what is Owner’s Equity formula in accounting ?
Owner’s Equity (OE) = Owner’s Capital (OC) + Net-Income - Drawings/dividends/withdrawals
