Can you put in a link to the sword this weapon is based on. I do have a reason to assume companies ate being less than truthful in the name od a peofit margin i.e. the beagnoth seax.

The original is featured in Records of the Medieval Sword (page 151) by Ewart Oakeshotte as a type XVI example. The blade length is as Oakeshotte published it, and he comments on its shortness as well. The original's current location is unknown, as it was in the hands of a private collector at the time, and not a museum, and has since been sold. While the original black-and-white image is grainy, it can be seen that the grip lengh is considerably shorter and less fat on the original (using some imaging tools, I measured not more than 3.5 inches), with a slightly smaller pommel too, with more champferred corners - I feel the pommel was designed to sit in the seat of the hand and be as much a part of the grip as anything.
