Another deep deck I would recommend is the "Divine Muses Oracle." Based on mythology, archetypal symbolism, and alchemy. The guidebook is very detailed, too.

I have been eyeing The Star Tarot for a long time so glad to hear more about it. I love The Tao Oracle or Carolyn Myss's Archetypes for deep dives. Forest of Emchantment Tarot is a recent purchase that is very substantial for me too.
The Star Tarot is so lovely. It has such an amazing book. I love that she really talks about her symbolism. I think you will be really happy adding it to your collection.

Soul cards are so easy for me. Sometimes they just crack me open! Just a look and a few seconds and the emotions come. I think this is such an overlooked deck.
I have the Tarot of the Abyss and I'm looking forward to getting all of Kim Krans decks but mostly the Tarot and Archetypes. Years ago I took a Touch Drawing class and would love to have Deb Off Chapin's deck. It seems powerful. BTW The last link listed is broken.

For deep soulful readings I love guidebooks that explain symbolism and really give food for thought, which the Star Tarot does in droves. I have the Deep Place Oracle in my Etsy cart and That one is going to be a very near future purchase as it’s simply put just stunning and so soulful. I’m all about the guidebooks in addition to using my own intuition, especially since I started my new divination journey a little over a year ago, so guidebooks are a wonderful tool in strengthening my intuition and helping me see things I possibly wouldn’t have.
These are all stunning decks, I dont own any other of Kim’s decks aside from Archetypes however I need to really start working deeper with that deck.wonderfully enlightening video! 2024 for me is all about digging deep, self health and care, so I’m loving some of your recommendations (even though this video is a bit older, there are a lot of decks that are timeless, if they’re not OOP lol.)

The cluster is aqua aura. The individual are iridized glass.
I have a quick question, when you purchase new decks, especially decks with chunky guidebooks, do you read the entire deck front to back, reading each cards meanings before you work together with them for readings or do you read only until the meanings and then only when cards are drawn do you read their meaning?
It depends. MOSTLY, I will go through the deck and pull out the cards that stump me and read those from the book. Then I'll use the book as I go when drawing cards.
I don't like the wild unknown card. I don't quite understand it.
It is it's own thing for sure.
Not understanding is always the start of a reading, if you get it that easy…it’s not gonna teach you a thing.
