That's why im here 😅 I didn't even find out yet and I bought the led logo a few days ago lol stupid move I know but hey, if you don't already find out by the time it arrives to me ill let you know.
I actually just bought silver plates for my new ps5 & now that i saw the plain black plates. I might have to buy these one smh where you get your plates from? Love the video btw!!
Got the dark plates from Dbrand. Unfortunately they do not make those particular plates anymore due to a lawsuit from Sony. Now I’m using the official midnight black plates from Sony.
Thr PS5 Pro logo is smaller. It doesn't fit. HOWEVER, I'd imagine that you could probably trim the PS5 logo to fit it. I'm ordering mine tonight. I'll let you know if I can make it fit.
When the ps5 turns on what color does it stay in, do you have to press the button all the time to get the color u want or it stays the color u pick the first time after u turn off and turn back on
You will have to press the button every time to get to the color you want. The light has a memory mechanism enabling it to remain the last color you left it in when you turn the PS5 on or off.
Once you leave it on is it on always or you have to press like if you turn off the ps5 while is on when you turn back will it be auto on with ps5 power ?
I'm planning on buying one, but I would like to have the classic PlayStation logo. Do you think if I combine this with a classic PlayStation logo sticker it will work out ?
That’s an interesting question. I have never personally tried this out. It might work, though the effect might not be as good. It might only show the outline of the logo as opposed to the whole logo as the PS logo piece from eXtremeRate is transparent and the classic PlayStation Logo is not.
Hey so Im getting a physical ps5 soon and I saw that memory extension device. I know where to get one, but other than that, is there anything to install it?
Unfortunately you gotta hit the switch every time. With all eXtremeRate LED kits for the consoles, you have to use a remote to turn on or off the product. It’s unfortunate that this particular LED Light does not use a remote like the other eXtremeRate products that I’ve reviewed on the channel. I don’t know why this is the case and it is a bit annoying if you ask me.
@@HoustonRocket281 You are right sir and I am in the wrong. Just tested it out. I almost never turn off my PS5 and instead leave it in rest mode. Please disregard my previous comment. But to change colors you do have to use the remote and for the logo light you have to use the physical button where it plugs into the USB A port.
I’ll admit when the RGB’s are off, they can look a little outa place as I can see a bit of the Lightstrips, but I’ve gotten used to that and the consoles are out of sight as the size of the tv obscures a head on view. Was inspired by RGB’s on PC builds that other people on Instagram and UA-cam had.
If that happens I’ll definitely make a video and let people know. But as of now no problems yet and the airflow is not obstructed in any way from the mods. And I keep my PS5 in an open space so basically zero chance of overheating. Thanks for your comment. 🙏
Very little if any heat comes from these lights. And I don’t keep them on constantly either, just at night and I turn them off after my gaming session is finished.
Have had all these for months at this point and no problems on my end. They do not restrict the airflow of the console which is the key. But if anything changes I’ll be sure to make a video about it.
I’ve just got mine and saw your video for instructions. It is freaking amazing. Makes my living room look more high tech as well as my PS5. 😊
Cheers dude helpful vid and straight to the point 😎
"I don't like how it relies on a remote" Some guy who has never lost a remote but most definitely has
Whats the usb power bank adapter called??
Nice hardware bud gave me some ideas 👍🏼
Where did you get your black covers with the PS5 logo?
Where does it get its power from
My bro turned a console in a game PC, PS5 is a powerful system
I was inspired by all the RGB lights that everyone puts in their PC builds.
Do you mind putting a link in the description for the USB power bank you're using?

@@ethangoldberger5290 thanks, I appreciate it
@ethangoldberger5290 I have a question sir do you think It will work on the ps5-PRO?
This felt like a gaming pc
Not gonna lie I was inspired by the RGB that I’ve seen people use in their PC builds.
Can I make it a specific color?
i wanna get that super sick man👍
What’s the usb power bank you have called

The PS5 Pro logo cutout is smaller than the OG PS5 so I do not think so unfortunately.
@@ethangoldberger5290👍 OK thanks. We'll dam that sucks for me 😔

@@richhoyle3571 was you able to make it work? Edit- AliExpress have some Pacific for the slim and the pro model
can you keep it one colour? without it flashing?
Yes you can.
Where did you get the lights for the stand?
Also from eXtremeRate.
@@ethangoldberger5290 is it the LED strips for the Xbox x stand?

It’s cool looking, but I don’t like the look of the extra wire hanging in the back. To bad there is no way to conceal the wire.
Yea I wish there was a way to conceal the wires unfortunately :(
I already got one love it
That’s awesome! Glad you like it!

Is it on always or always have to press and set it all over with pressing every time like when you leave it all set up and on ?
It remembers the last setting it was on when turned on again.
Does this work on the ps5 slim?
It might, but I have no plans to procure the Slim. My focus is on PS5 Pro and longer term PS6.
I'm planning on buying one, but I would like to have the classic PlayStation logo. Do you think if I combine this with a classic PlayStation logo sticker it will work out ?

Not true extreme rate leds I have turn on when my ps5 turns on automatically. You have to go settings and choose turn on USB ports.

Yea let’s hope so.
Plus its not even multi colour rainbow just one colours boring lol looks ok 😁👍
It can change color. This thumbnail only shows one of the colors. It can cycle through different ones.

RGBs are cool but on pcs only anything on consoles look out of place imo

Bruh your ps5 won't last if you make too many modifications. It'll overheat and die
If that happens I’ll definitely make a video and let people know. But as of now no problems yet and the airflow is not obstructed in any way from the mods. And I keep my PS5 in an open space so basically zero chance of overheating. Thanks for your comment. 🙏
na they don't really get hot
that RGB lights are not like lights in your bathroom, where that one lamp is taking 60 wats and making heat
Very little if any heat comes from these lights. And I don’t keep them on constantly either, just at night and I turn them off after my gaming session is finished.
Nah
took me forever to get my machine- i want it to last- did get the Sony black plates. this might be fun for a second or third backup- but not Number 1.
Have had all these for months at this point and no problems on my end. They do not restrict the airflow of the console which is the key. But if anything changes I’ll be sure to make a video about it.
Pretty sure these mods void the warranty too which is a no no if something does happen
does this work on ps5 slim?
