    The official blurbe:
The Squier Mike Dirnt Precision Bass is the latest signature model from the Green Day Bassist. The Guitar is based around a Precision Bass and is designed to cut through the mix and deliver his trademark tone in an affordable and eye catching bass
Here is what Squier say about the Mike Dirnt P-Bass
Dude, seriously, every day is a Green Day when you suit up with the Mike Dirnt Precision Bass®. It's a way-cool take on an early '50s Precision Bass, designed to the oft-airborne Green Day bassist's own specifications, with a huge, gnarly punk-pop sound that effortlessly punches right through the thickest guitar attack. This new version sports some subtle aesthetic changes. The special star graphic has moved to the neck plate and Mike chose some new pickguards to adorn his bass.

Im actually driving 2 hours tomorrow to get this exact bass for $200. Love the aesthetics and it will match my squier tele but it has the famous p bass split coil instead of the single coil. I guess the nut width is between a p bass and jazz bass and I prefer fat necks but im stoked to get it.

Nice review as usual sticks! I've had this (fender version), fender hoppus and numerous other fenders over the years but I played a ray34 and I've never looked back.

You should review the Washburn T24 Taurus, bass looks cool and quite affordable.

For some reason the Starcaster review isn't available to watch in the US. Also, great video as always :)

Got mine for $90 at a pawn shop 2 years ago. Looked up the serial recently and found out it was the Mike dirnt model. Some of these are going for $600 on reverb recently.

42 mm because it's a P Bass Paul. C'mon you know that! 38mm for the Jazz and around 40 for the PJ type which I hate cos I am 1, Old School and (Old) and 2, I have man sized fingers ladies so 42mm + is ok!
Been a bassist 58 years Oct 2015 so any old Dusty Hill PO bass laying around shoot it over here right?

    Great quality video sir.
Do you know if Fender sells those 3ply '51-style pickguards on their own?
I've a Fender model of this mike dirnt series, and it has a 1ply version which is starting to warp :I

would you consider it a giggable bass? Does the lack of a belly scoop become annoying?I'm thinking of using it for my pop/punk alt/rock band as it's very close to how I'd have a bass made if I had the money. I'd probably change the p'ups out eventually to some dimarzio split P's or duncan quarter pounders.

So Stick Sir, just wondering what is the price before you say that it isn't the *affordable* price? it's different for everybody I know, but in your opinion where does that price get too high. :)

***** I play a warwick, and it is the best thing ever, plays metal, funk, rock, big band, EVERYTHING I need when I need it. jacksons are odd for me, but sound good, I owned an ESP great for making things rumble, wasn't the best sounding but WOW felt like an earthquake going with mine.

Alecksyy Pandaa Hi mate :) No, Rob hasn't spoken to me for pretty much a year, don't know what his problem is/was. I'm trying to get some videos done with Andertons here at my place but the forces of life have been somewhat against me so far this year! I should have some stuff ready to go in a few weeks though.
      Take it easy!

Anyway, thanks so much for getting back to me.
