Biltmore Insulated Concrete, Inc. is a specialized company dedicated to ultra energy efficient building shells of ICFs structures. The Biltmore Team recently completed Chicagoland's first Certified Passive House. Biltmore was hired for the complete building shell enclosure from the concrete footings, three stories of ICFs walls, complete carpentry framing, installation of all windows & doors for the complete sealed building shell. The structure was tested for air tightness with a blower door & achieved 0.39 ACH @ 50 Pascals. Summary, a very tightly built structure. Great House, So they could build a passive house using pretty much any floor plan correct ? (3 bedroom 3 bath ranch with full basement) Also whats the cost square footage, I'm guessing about two to three times the cost of stick built.
