Thanks! We "truly" enjoyed walking through the factory and getting to see the hands on production and the detailed work that True gives their skates. We will def try to get more behind the scenes insight videos in the future! Thanks for watching and hope you're doing well! Brandon at IW Hockey
Im on the fence between their cat7 and ccm jetspeed 675. After hearing the durability of lack of with true ill go wit ccm. I rec skate to so not like im taking pucks n stick hits but still dont need em falling apart
You're correct that for high arches, you'll want to have an insole to offer arch support. I'd recommend the True Genetix footbed with High arch support, and be sure to have that insole in the skate when you bake. Brandon at IW Hockey
Why make them in china when you can bring china to make them over here.... this reminds me of the Sony paraody commercial "sony cause americans are just too damn tall"... real talk though why are all the people working on the skates almost 90% asian?
Bringing China to Winnipeg makes perfekt sense, once the value chain stays 100% with True in Canada, secondly you can do without shipping ice skates across the pacific from China to Canada.
Probably because there’s a big ethnic Chinese community willing to work hard. I recall a UK electronic company employing lots of British Indian woman, hard working and dextrous.
Im shopping for custom skates, because of my problem with ankle bones. I was about to go with CCM Custom+ but after seeing this vid, how skates are made, im going with SVH.
Meh. If you’ve ever worn them you’d understand the hype. Most comfortable skates ever. And who cares how gear looks if it fits/works? Style points are only real in your head - don’t help score you goals
@@mattm1296 sure they are comfy. But that doesn’t set them apart from anyone. the OG Hyperlite was also a very comfy skate and much lighter than the new model. So are the Jetspeed FT4 and FT6. True customs are also the most comfy fit you can get. Hyperlite 2s are just hype. Nothing new on them but the power fly holders. Which no pros are switching too. It’s just another Bauer gimmick like the carbon lite blades, or the Bauer sling. Bauer is also the only high end skate left that isn’t a one piece boot design. I’ve been a Bauer guy all my life. But they aren’t ahead of everyone else in the industry anymore, like they were for a long time.
Great look under the hood of how the best skates in hockey are made!
Ft6 Pros…
Bauer left the chat😂
@@jakehaubschueh1872 No contest- That’s comparing a chevette to an F1 race car.
@rugdnit911 Better tell almost 70% of the best players in the world that. Although I'm sure a d level bender would know better.
@@adambarnes4191 You’re saying that stamped plastic is better than hand laid carbon fiber to the shape of your foot. We are not the same.
Awesome video! Hope to see more behind the scenes ‘how it’s made’ type videos

For people with high arches, does SVH take this into account or does it all come down to finding the 'right' insole?

To add, just got my SVHs - also super high arch. Skates have high arch molded into the boot then also come with a high arch insole. Fits great.
New for 2025 , the True “Lined Up Perfectly” Lineup.

That's great to hear, the amount of detail the True team puts into all of their skates is nothing short of top-tier!

They remind me of my Bauer turbos from back in the day!😂 JK.....I want THESE!!!!!
Hey, both boots are black so I see what you're saying ;)

Haha, I had Bauer Turbos back in early 80's, here in Australia. My first skates!
SOOO good man....I wish I could find a pair now ..I would totally rock them!!
I’m sorry, but true skates are the ugliest hockey skates I’ve ever seen.
May be the ugliest but the most comfortable skate ever
@@raulmartinez8218 My Bauer Hyperlite 2s would say otherwise
@@theov4020 hyperlite 2's are trash. OG Hyperlites were better and they were lighter.. CCM>True>Bauer rn
