Sir, I didn't take the name of other Photographers who recently unbox and Gives the the shot with this camera was not worthy, only you killed the overview and perfect explanation of this Superb machine. Thanks sir ! 🙏👌
Best video I’ve seen from a wildlife perspective on the A9111 and I’ve watched a few , your love for the subject comes through in spades, can’t understand why I’ve not come across you till now , looking forward to catching up on all your earlier videos ,
Try om system Om1. It was first one to come up with 120 fps not Sony. 😊 And it's lens are half the weight and price is three time less. A far more formidable and affordable camera for the everyone. 😊
Great video , wonderful to see someone else actually capturing birds in flight /acton shots/ I have had my a9iii about six weeks now, I bought it to mainly capture birds and wildlife movement images, I was amazed to find I can get very sharp images hand held using the very light and less expensive 200x 600 lens, great for the casual walk about shots, proving to me that Sonys inbuilt stabilisation system is far superior to anything else out there, Your work is top notch I will defiantly be keeping an eye out for more from you.
Amazing isn't it? You got some superb shots! Olympus and Panasonic shooters have been enjoying this feature for a few years now! I hope Sony brings this to the A1 in a future firmware update.
I shoot with another brand that also has the pre capture feature. With up to 100 and 120fps. And it is a game changer for being able to capture spontaneous action. It interesting to go back and calculate when you actually pushed the shutter and realize that in most cases you would have missed the action. Even when you think you are fast enough it’s humbling to come to find out you’re not as fast on the shutter as you think you are. But for me I have found that 60fps to be plenty of fps in most situations. But it’s nice to have the extra when needed
Wow what a review. I had been a bit dismissive of the A9III as a wildlife camera until this video. I have just traded in my A9 and 100-400mm with my dealer and opted to take a credit note while I waited to see which new models will come out this year......wait no more
@@sudhirshivaramphotography 100% true, it's an amazing piece of technology, an absolute game changer also for wildlife photography, not only sports as many seem to believe. Those are crazy fast shutter speeds. Where we live it's overcast or we are shooting in dim light nearly all the time. There is no scenario where we could be at ISO 640 and 1/10000
@@sudhirshivaramphotographyNo doubt. Just saying that we don't have any conditions where we could shoot at the speeds and ISO you have where these are shot. It's always overcast here and rainy
I just got my a9iii today and i must say this is an amazing video! Great skills and very well done explanations. Subscribed and telling my friends about this great channel. Can you advise me how to look at the photos in camera in the groups and select the ones I want to keep before uploading 3,000 photos to light room. Thanks so much Sudhir.
A simple technique would be to playback as groups, go into the group and select the image you want to keep and lock it. Then come out to group display and delete the whole group. The locked photo remains and rest in group gets deleted.
Thank you for the video. When the shutter is fully pressed; it will start capturing frames from that moment onwards. However, it will also add previous frames of one second from the moment shutter is pressed. Am I right? Perhaps, it takes care of the EVF lag of mirrorless cameras that I have been pointing at since long. I'm skeptical whether the 120 fps work in large RAW format? I thought it only works in jpeg! Great. As a hobbyist; maybe I’ll wait until this technology is incorporated in the prosumer models sooner than later.
Great explanations. I love your videos. Im just wondering how the A9iii will perform with the sony 200-600 G lens. I cannot afford the 600 mm lens. thanks
Beautiful video What is your tripod and tripod head set up? Also, the preview monitor. What Card do you use to record and the experience with buffer? thanks Dr. Bapat
Thanks for the nice video.I want to ask you if I have the Sony a1 to buy the Sony a9 III is an upgrade for BIF or not? With my a1+600 gm with 50mp I can crop and still around 26mp but with Sony a9 III has only 24.6mp and if I will to crop there will not remain enough pixels, what do you think about? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
That's the Ninja V+ monitor and recorder. It helps in capturing the output of the camera and can also record the LCD screen display, which is useful for my teaching.
Have you done any testing on how many shots in raw compress you can take before the buffalo pills? I saw someone else do it and they said that it fills up in 1.6 seconds I’m not sure if they’re shooting raw. I think he was shooting. In heif. It fills up in 1.6 seconds and you have pre capture set for free capture 1 second does that mean that you only have .6 before buffer fills up
Beginner here with the same camera - Out of interest, are you in photo mode for this, because video only allows for 100fps. Also, if you're in the high+ mode (I think that's the 120fps photo mode), how do you manage all the fils in the camera? I think you're grouping it somehow? Amazing photos by the way,
Pre capture should be standard in all cameras costing $2000 or more. The folks that think 120fps is overkill don't pay attention to what is actually happening in the real world. Either that or they just really don't care about what's happening. I am curious to how well the a9iii will perform on the much smaller birds. Such as the Ruby-crowned Kinglet which pokes in out of the bushes.
I mean... This is very nice feature, Olympus has that, Canon has that, Nikon has that, now Sony.. but looking into the future... doesn't it make a photographer a lazy guy? It can capture anything to the 1 second les.. with 120 fps it's almost a rivarly between "who has the better computational things" because you could catch something at 100 fps that you wouldn't at 50 fps, and also you could forget about it if you don't have that feature. It is not cheating but I can see which way it goes, and it won't be "as astonishing" to see some birds in flight with them wings beeing almost perfect all the time when you don't need even to be prepared as you can capture this -1 second before you even press.. Of course the buffer limit there is, but still people will be bored of perfect wing spread of the birds at one moment because everyone will use the same motive... PRE-CAPTURE... Personally when I see birds in flight with beautifull wings spread I had to say sorry but I don't admire it that much anymore. The more something is general and open for everyone, the less it's exciting.
I put so much time in trying to figure out bird movements and habits to try and capture images I am happy with. Now a day cameras there is no need for that anymore just point them in the direction of a bird and press the button. With a chunk of money, a kid could take great photos, just put the camera on a tripod , grab a sandwich and when he sees the bird fly out of the corner of his eye, press the button. The bird leaving has already been captured. Even now the eye tracking and million frames a second of the A1's and Z9's make it easy to capture the perfect image. You are right it is making it un-impressive now. I used to see a Short-Eared Owl shot sometimes but now I see tons of them all perfectly in focus and flying toward the camera. With a dslr that shot was impressive but the modern cameras all you need to do is keep the bird somewhere in the viewfinder and the camera does the rest at 30 fps. This doesn't mean I don't want one, I would love one. A lighter camera with a nice EVF so I don't have to keep moving the camera away and squint at the back screen for exposure would make it easier on my eyes and touch arthritis for sure.
I do understand your concern. But for individuals who wants to get that perfect image - they will be happy with what they got. It's not only for birds in flight, any action where you waited for a long time looking through the viewfinder and because you got distracted for that fraction of a second, you missed the shot - that's history now.
Think of the positive impact it makes - photographers who could not get those shots in the past can now easily get it and this will make more people fall in love with the amazing nature we have. That helps in conservation efforts as well.
Lol. I have shot today children soccer cup indoors. 4 hours, 1000 shots, 412 chosen photos, a7s3 with tamron 28-75 and a7m4 with sigma 85 1.4. I have even didn't used continuous shooting, just single shots. What pre-capture and 120 fps are you talking about?!)
