Thank you for these really insightful videos. I played Heroes 3 as a kid, and just recently got it on GoG for the nostalgia trip, and boy am I enjoying it again. I'm currently playing (struggling) through the campaign, on EASY, and to see a player with such a high skill level playing on Impossible difficulty on these crazy maps, along with all of the commentary explaining what you're going to do, why you're doing it, and weighing your options and potential consequences is really super cool.
@23:27 You can click on the right side of the shipyard you control to buy a ship, you dont need to bring the hero to the shipyard, you save a few moves this way!
Half an hour in, wondering if Norovo forgot his cape of velocity. 35 minutes in, yes he did, now he's remembering. Ahh. Major stress point averted. Nice!
Hey man just stumbled across your content today and wanna say keep up the great work! As someone who is familiar with but doesnt know that much about homm 3 you hit the perfect balance between explaining your thought process/showing what items do etc. without having it get boring or tedious.
You can check the movement points (required to an object and remaining) by hovering cursor while pressing ALT. Also, you can 'speed up' in mines and other resource places by leaving the slowest units there for a night (similar to doing it when in a castle) - just hit Space. Main thing is NOT to forget the army next day when starting your hero's turn.
Would you consider playing the HOMM3 campaign as a series? I know its probably way too easy for someone of your skill level, but I reckon it would still be fun to watch

My favourite map recently and finished more than 10 times, the best performance is 53 days and has digged up the holy grail. Tips: 1. Earth magic is a MUST. Town Portal, earth element, resurrection, implosion are essential. 2. Logistics is a MUST. dimension door is banned, so you have huge advantage with high mobility. 3. Shackle of war is a game changer. If you acquire this, the victory is 90% guranteed. Then you can eliminate major threats completely and get all their artifacts. 4. Fire magic is OK. Berserk can be very useful dealing with massive army. a brief walk through: 1. choose purple player, you would have a good chance to start in the SOUTH-WEST corner. My personal favourite is Dessa (specialty in logistics, start with wisdom+logistics) 2. March north ASAP and free the hero in the prison with a CRYSTAL DRAGON 3. Let your main hero(Dessa in my case) take this crystal dragon, sail east from the harbour north of your starting town, land on the nearest land to your east. 4. March north after landing, take the neutral town, starting building magic tower, in the hope to get TP in level 4. 5. Then continue march north, free Kyrre in the prison to the north, he should be your secondary hero (specialty in logistics, start with archery+logistics). 6. Let Kyrre take the ship your major hero has left on the west coast, sail north west, to the land north of your starting town, take the neutral town there, and free an other great hero: Alamar? (with advanced wisdom and earth magic) 7. If with some luck, my Dessa and Kyrre are having good time taking all the resources in 2 empty lands. 8. Within 2 weeks, Dessa should have learned adv. wisdom+earth magic. and probably TP is acquired in the neutral town which Dessa took. NOW Dessa can TP to 3 towns, neutralize any incoming threates. 9. Take Alamar to Dessa's town to learn TP.

Why do you move a hero onto making a Ship? Because you own it, you can mouse over it and when you get the ship icon, just click to build it without using movement points to any hero. It you don't have enough resources you won't get a clickable icon for ship, it will say you can't afford a ship. It's only the shipyard you don't own that you can't mouse over it to buy a boat... Just a thought...
@Norovo Hi! Love your videoes and this one was especially interesting. However i have a question: Why dont you consider vampire lords when deciding what to build? I would think a pwer stack with two external dwellings would take you to a 50-100 vampire lords very quickly and that would be enough to take on everything on the map (except for the swarm of golems offcourse) - I mean with that shield and your defensive stats (20 +) this early the vampire lords would be unkillable right? I really want to understand your thought process around this :)
