MK 5 TOYOTA HILUX FUEL TANK AND PROTECTOR REMOVAL

As above, removed the tank and tank protector and it was a pain as the bolts were rusted A/F. The bolts that were the end facing the cab came out with heat from a blow torch and WD40, then back and forth with a battery impact wrench, (here's a vid of that impact wrench if your interested, cheap one of Ebay • Makita 3/4'' impact wr... ). The ones at the back would not budge, they all had to be drilled. Even though I played the blow torch on the bolts it just couldn't get them hat enough, I have since bought an induction heater and this thing is the bollocks. I had a scaffold fitting that was rusted up and couldn't be turned, 30 seconds with the induction heater and I could turn the spanner and move the nut with one finger (Here's a vid of the induction heater if yer interested) • Mini Induction Heater,... .Let me know what you think and leave a comment.
