- Here are a few clips from the March 2018 oNe club meeting. It was so great to see a few different bikes at the club meeting, including a beautiful 1964 thunderbird, BSA Lightning, immaculately restored Commando and Moto Guzzi.
Thought you might like to see a couple of clips of Ted's HRD/Ducati 900SS special. I call it a "wolf in sheep's clothing"!
Here are a few clips of the bike:
• A Wolf in sheep's clot...
And here's a clip I took a couple of years ago riding this beast 😉
• North American Vincent...
Buy me a coffee? ☕ 😉

Bought my first 750 commando interstate , 1973 model, with the Combat engine from the "Sandy Bandit" in Portland, 1974. He always treated me very fair in all our dealing. Currently have a 1975 850 Commando with both Interstate and Roadster tanks/ seats. Love the sound and handling on mountain roads.
there's no better sound than a comando on peashooters.
6:03 there are several I really like but the handlebars on this they're so lovely it breaks my heart.
This looks like a really good, fun get together, my kind of day out.
The clip really highlights the unique norton sound. Well done.
That red semi-cafe Commando! Wow, oh wow.
It's mint, isn't it! Cheers, Mike
So nice
YES
So, nice!!!!,
Never fails to impress me how great your Norton sounds Mike. Well done.
Many thanks John. I'm missing riding it right now! Hopefully when the weather and other conditions improve. We're expecting snow here in Oregon in the next couple of days. Best wishes, Mike
@@TheMightyGarage Guess we’ll just have to dream of warmer weather and summer rides, right? Even colder here in Colorado, so your ride videos always help 👍✌️
So, nice!!!
Thank you Ute! I hope you are doing well Cheers!
Thank everyone for turning out, some cracking bikes, the BSA looked to be the star attraction on the day.
Thanks for sharing Mike always good to 'ride along with you'.
atvb t ..
Thank you T! It was a great turnout. I didn't expect to see many guys and great bikes. Cheers, Mike
The BSA was lovely, but the fresh red Norton was gorgeous.
That Moto Guzzi is okay too ;)
It's a shame you haven't ridden it yet. I hear the owner is a jerk.
Hehe, I'll trade you for a ride on the Rapide!
Cracking sound from the Beezer and Norton
Thanks Jimbo! Jeff called by the cul-de-sac recently and woke all the neighbors up! Thought you might like the video and no need to turn the volume up on this one 😊

That image on the garage door, too cool...
Hehe, thank you! It's a banner that @swooshdave designed. I didn't realize how big it would be when ordering it and so thought it would look cool hanging from the plain garage door! Best wishes, Mike
Interstate & Roadster, both on the wish list.
Nice machines ! Where's the W650 ? rarer than Triumphs these days...
Hee hee, yes, great point. We’ve got to get Pam and her W650 on a ride. One of these days!
Norton MK 3 ROADSTER is the BOSS 👊😎
How the Sandy bandit, ever been !!
Hi David. I don’t believe Cliff ever visited the club meetings. I’ve seen him several times at the OVM (Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists) events, but not at our Norton club. Cheers, Mike
Give me 18 months and just a little good fortune......and I will be operating my own sweet snortin Norton. Gonna be a tad challenging what with being in SE Asia....
Good luck with your project Jonahan! Cheers, Mike
With all the great Norton's i never see my Norton Interstate any where? Makes sense though because mine was one of only two in new England back in "71"..
Heaven on the street
Ha ha, thanks Graham! We are all missing our club rendezvous now! Hopefully we'll get together again soon. Best wishes, Mike
Yet another very enjoyable ride. I’m quite envious as we’ve had awful weather here in England. The HRD/Ducati looked interesting, any chance of a video on it?
Hi Neil, yes my family has been telling me how bad it has been! Thought you might like to see a couple of clips of Ted's HRD/Ducati special. I call it a "wolf in sheep's clothing"!

Mi Ty .
Hello and thanks for the two video links. I bet it was a blast to ride. As an ex mechanic I can really appreciate one off specials like that, especially when it can be put back to Comet spec with no alterations. Brilliant.
Here's another super short clip of the bike: ua-cam.com/video/9UoVhkHX5D4/v-deo.html

Another good clip, thanks for the link.
that guy with the vincent/ducati ; there's a contract on him from the vincent o/club in uk.
Haha. I think he did it on purpose ;)
Hi im Steve from NY I have a 1968 BSA lightning I want to sell it needs a restoration but its all there
It would be nice if you would introduce us to the year and model of the bikes. Mine was a 750 Commando, can’t recall the year, but it had a front disc but rear hub brake.
Thanks a lot for your comment. Great idea. I'm going to try and do some little "Bios" of these bikes soon. Cheers, Mike
Not sure about colour of guzzi
Hehe, it does grow on you!
That red Norton at 6:09 is sweetest sounding one I ever heard, stock?
Hi, yes that is stock. It's a Hi-Rider with a standard seat. Stay tuned for an upcoming episode for more about this bike 😎👍 Cheers, Mike
Those Hi riders are cool as so 70s my fave decade
what's that cafe racer seat on the red one?
Alan Hodge Yes, isn’t it amazing. That was handmade by one of our club members who was part of the Norton rebirth with Kenny Dreer in Oregon.
Nice Interstate, not seen any Fastback,s .
Hi Bill, thanks for your note. We don’t have any local fastbacks unfortunately. We have a club member in southern Oregon, but I don’t think we have any here in the Portland Metro area. Maybe one day! Best wishes, Mike
@@TheMightyGarage Hi Mike, thanks for the reply .I live in North Yorkshire England . you are doing a good job with the films , just started watching them, There seems to be a good crowd and mix of bikes.Good to see all the Brit Bikes still going strong.Keep up the good work .Thanks Bill.
Is that a Ducati engine in the H.R.D? Is that flashing rear light on the Moto Guzzi a safety feature or a fault?
Hi Geoff. It certainly is. I call it a sheep in wolves’ clothing! Take a look in the description for a few clips of the beast! The tail-light flashing appears to be flashing on camera because it's an LED light and seems to be strobing, but it's constant when you see it with the naked eye. Cheers, Mike
nice bikes, but the foot dragging is painful to watch.
